SUNSHINE MILLION SANTA ANITA PARK
Race 1 Six Half Furlongs Maiden Special
Swiss Charm with two solid morning drills after a respectable debut finishing third looks to improve over this field. Bejarano jumps aboard Warren's Lady with solid fast long works. Bench Beauty by Benchmark looks like a live runner to me. I like the works on Joe Ja trained by Mcfarland. Beware! Do not take her lightly for a win. If Swiss Charm improves then the added distance is ideal for her and the one to fear!
1. Joe Ja. 2. Warren's Lady 3. Swiss Charm
Race 2 Six Furlongs Maiden Special
The only horse with a race under there belt is Tokubetsu. The son of Congaree ran a respectable race with a modest field his first race. He has worked solid over the dirt and retains Bejarano. The horse I expect will be the favorite. Runflatout a first time starter has excellent pedigree and solid workouts for his debut....... do not take this dude lightly. Another first time starter is Le Mans bred to have speed. It looks like Asmussen has this dude cranked up for a big performance on the outside post......... garden spot for first timers. Midnight Interlude has solid drills and has the pedigree to show speed.
Race 3 One Mile Sixteenth Claimer 12K
Pivotal Queen has not raced since April but looms large if she reel in the speed horse Champagneandlilies! Derby Memo switches barn and takes off the hood for his second dirt race. She won over the dirt at Fairplex but the pace scenario came up light on speed to run at in this low level claimer.
1. Pivotal Queen 2. Champagneandlilies 3. Derby Memo
Race 4 Six Half Maiden Claimer 20K
A weak bottom dweller maiden claimer K. Jems trained by Gary Sherlock gets added distance and looks like the horse to fear at the wire. Do not take Hostile Waters lightly in this race. My pick is Guadalupe Lupe!
1. Guadalupe Lupe 2. Hostile Waters 3. K. Jems
Race 5 Sunshine Million Sprint
1. Cost Of Freedom 2. Quick Enough 3.Apriority
Race 6 One Mile Eighth Sunshine Million Turf
1. Caracortado
Race 7 Sunshine Million Distaff
I like All Due Respect at three to 1 morning line but my pick is Evening Jewel!
1. Evening Jewel 2. All Due Respect
Race 8 Six Half Turf Allowance
1. Domination
Race 9 Six Half Optional
My Pick is the combacker who I have followed!
1. Pink Blossom 2. Hopeful Union
Race 10 Six Half Turf Claimer 32K
Dapper Gene won two turf sprints in a row in November before a fifth place finish last out down the hill...... looks spotted for action here! My Pick is Cape Truth who adds blinkers for this turf sprint.
1. Cape Truth
