Race 1        One Mile Sixteenth Turf OCA 
A salty cast of character in this small field of runners.  Pleasure To Ride just won this condition 6 weeks ago and is the speed of the race. " Come Catch me if you Can." Megastar is one tough dude. Mega has been freshened up trying for a hat trick today. I always like Golden Mexico who has changed trainers and look at his morning work out suggest he might fire a big one. Worth Repeating finished a respectable 2 to the favorite .....

Race 2        Six Furlong Maiden Special Weight

1. Joburg Star had a troubled trip might just be a understatement of this race.  He was stopped twice down the backstretch and had a ton of trouble. Patricia V takes the mount over from David Flores and his last race shows he might need the added distance of six.

3. Asno Del Caramelo post a strong speed number and I looked at the video and with a clear sailing his last race looked like he was full of run and quite honestly he was unlucky not to have won. He switches surfaces today...... I like him today this 2 year old Candy Ride baby.

6. Gahnzo Bob might just be overlooked by the public and with a race under his belt should improve with the first race looking like he was in a public work out for fans. He switches to the main track and he too will like the added distance.

7. Ribat exists a Key Maiden Race with 40k Maidens.... and most likely will be overlooked by the betting public.... No real monsters in this race and plus I like the under rated trainer and the jump up in class. I expect  Ribat to run a respectable race today with a hint of a  price at the tote!

Race 3        One Mile Turf Claimer (40K)
 A competitive contentious cast of characters:


 1. Dextera........ love the show time hit of Dexter.  She has never run this low.... a ideal distance for her and has Big speed numbers and most likely will be back by the public. Dextera trained by James Cassidy who at Del Mar has live horses!

6. Rule The Storm shortens up today which is a ideal distance for this tough chick.  Mike Mitchell claims her for 40k takes the mandatory raise in class. She has hit the board in 18 out of 23 races..... A major player!

5. Apt To Be Amazing is a win machine like Rule the Storm. She was claimed for 25K by O'Neil...... beware!

2. Operetta Italiano is a stone cold closer and looks like if the speed melts down she might just be the one to fear. She is fit and in form and likely to improve on his last somewhat trouble trip she had.


4. Prytania has run with quality runners and she is hard to get a handle on. She needed the 45 days off to get her act together. She might just out run her odds today....... A closer and a blue-blood by Glen Hill Farms.


Race 4        Six Furlong Claimer (16K)

1. Afleet Deal looks like the speed of the speed. PV a excellent gate jockey will sent him and say "Catch me if you Can." Yesterday we saw speed from gate to wire! This horse might be this good to win a 16k claimer from the mid-west.

2. Captain Sparrow a stone cold closer is the one to fear down the stretch. JR takes the mount tell me this horse is live!

3. Conga Rock a weird sort  "stone cold closer "and has hit the board 11 out of 16 times.... interesting  horse for 16k not without a shot....... with trainer and pedigree......


4. U.C.Merced Two ...........likely the favorite double jumps which is a signal take he should not be taken lightly.......


5. Leesider...... Check out his work out tab coming off a vacation...... a router who shortens up to a sprint

6.  Major Smoke is a tough customer at this level........ look like he will get back on the beam.......... Major Player!

Race 5        One Mile Sixteenth Optional

 Westwood Pride looks like he can only go one way and that is on the lead. She will be supported at the windows today. Is she going to improve or regress.... she does look like she shows up for each and every race she races.  Arte Viva exits a fast race and she might be a keeper! She might just climb in class ladder. I bet Hasty in her stakes race at Hollywood........ Cassidy puts blinkers on this head case and I expect she might just show up today! Pulpit Magic has been over her head in graded stake races....... She gets 2 months off and her work out tab tells me at she might be a live longshot.....


Race 6        Seven Furlong  3 year old Stakes

 1. Camille C should be the favorite in this 3 year old field of chicks. A 2 time stakes winner against the likes of Blink Luck. She shortend up today and looks like a short no value price. The pace scenario might be Camille C and Excellent News..... on the pace!

3. Thisonefotyou....... has excellent bullet and Joel R takes the call and Garcia goes to Baffert!


4. La Nez just runs her races and fires all the time.....


5. Lazered trained by Running them Abrams by Unusual Heat and that's where Abrams usually has a hot meet.... not yet but this horse is a interesting live long shot...

6. Downhill Diva a horse that I think just might climb the class ladder today. She loves the distance and can position herself right off the pace. She's fit and in form and I expect her to out run her odds..........  Camille C is the class  but Downhill Diva brode her maiden on the Poly Track and 15 to 1.... is better... then 8 to 5 on CC.

Race 7        Five Half Furlong Maiden Special

It looks like the speed might just be Faisca and a improving filly and we might just get a price. Cayanna exits a key maiden race and needs the added distance to close on this field down to the wire. I like the first time starter Queenie Marini who acts like a runner first time out. Hollywood Affair has the edge and experience and yes speed over this group. She has posted 3 big speed figures and might likely be the one to beat. my main concern is the added distance and she might get moved down again at the wire. These 4 horses are the horses I like Faisca and Cayaanna and Hollywood Affairs and the first time starter Queenie Marini.

I reread my form and I left out a horse that was bet like she was the second coming of Candy Stripes..... Clubhouse Rules..... take a long look at this one at Post Time during warm up!

That note the first time starter Warren's Note sire is hitting at 44% with first time starters and the dam has sent out runners 3 for 3...... Look at this one before the race .............. might just be a bomb!



Race 8        San Diego One Mile Sixteenth

Win and Your In... for the breeders Cup Mile
 


1.  Enriched lost to the best turf horse on the West Coast.... not bad thing to say.....Little Brother to Lava Man with speed..... and in a field pack with early speed..

2. Isle Of Giant's is stepping up today in the big dance.... Looking for the hat trick..... and was awesome at Hollywood.

3. Deal Breaker..... Garcia climbs off but I like his form on synth and he too is looking for the hat trick......but Rafael Bejarano takes the call........ like music chairs......

4. Tres Borrachos  I have lost with betting this horse and he seems to disappoint me!...... He will be a pace factor....... and I see him getting over taken at the top of the lane.

5. Sangaree........Garcia takes the other Baffert horse..... a professional and is not against rail today...... and not sprinting...... looks good to me....... but not sold yet.

6. Red Eye Express........why not again..... he added blinkers and changed into a better more focus horse........ Victor takes the call!

7. Battle of Hastings...........last year had the look of a horse on the raise........ been disappointed with this one....... but can turn it around today running on the poly track and has the ideal pace today with speed in this race .......to fit his style..... this is the horse that might  surprise the bettors.... maybe.........

9. Mythical Power........ I like his stable mate better.....

10. Dakota Phone........ looks who riding on this one........he always shows up for the dance but rarely goes home with the babe.......

Race 9        Six Half Furlong Claimer (16K)
I like 3  horses Areutrue and Intothewild.....and  Gold Star which has some back class  A hunch but I like  Gold Star

Race 10      Six Half Furlong Maiden (25K)
Real Obvious looks like the rabbit of this race and cuts back to 6 and a half.........  has big speed figures for this field........I will take a stand against her.... others look better to me.   Warren Rose was claimed in a somewhat live maiden key race.......Great blow out bullet! Beach Bottom Bay looks like she needed that race and posted a strong first time out speed number......... with any improvement she will be in the mix. Nosegay adds blinkers and my hunch is that she has the pedigree with Salt Lake as a Sire to run a big performance in the last race....... just a hunch so......
