SUNDAY HOLLYWOOD PARK

UPDATE: The Bank is up to $1114.23. I started
with a Bank roll of $500, so let's put that money
back when it belongs and play with the tracks
       money of  $614.23.

It looks to me that the last four races are great betting races. Today I will bet a pick four and a late pick three. There is really nothing that gets me excited about the first few races on the card today.

Race 2         Six Half Furlongs Maiden Special Weight

                       1. East Lake Shore
I like the breeding and the long series of work out with Smith up from Glen Hill Farms. Moreover, I like the Morning line of 8 to 1.

Race 3          One Mile Sixteenth Claimer (25k)

                1. Malibu Artiste

Race 4          Six Furlong Turf Claimer (25K)
Weird turf race with two horses that fit as being in form and fit. Hasty Trend finished 2 in a turf sprint at this level. Brenthurst claimed for 40K and drops the class. Brenthurst is my top choice to win. An interesting long shot who long ago would crush this field is Nevada Worrier. Jose Delima does usually have them cranked up and fit. So do not dismiss this horse.

$20 to place on Nevada Worrier
                  Bank $594.23

Race 5          Six Half Furlong Allowance

                     1. J.P. Jammer  2. Pacific Avenue

                     Pick Three
                       5th  3,4,5,6,7
                       6th  6
                       7th  6,7

Race 6          Six Furlong Turf  Claimer  (40K)

                     1. Fair Kisses

Race 7          Six Furlong  OCA (80K)

                                1. Domonation  2. Big Man Has A Sign

                      Late Pick three
                      7th 1,6,7
                      8th  All
                      9th Tricky Linda

Race 8          One Mile Sixteenth Turf   Will Rogers

Since I have been doing a good job with luck and patience let's try the Jay Trotter method in the Will Rogers today. Alex Solis is Back!
Bogie looks like a horse with a bright future when he won a fast allowance at Hollywood. It looks like he has tactical speed and will be sitting off the pace and close down the lane. Bogie is the threat to win the Will Roger's but having said this Bogie will have others to deal with. Who's Up has speed and I love the strong Beyer speed numbers he posted  a year ago at Del Mar,almost beating Syndey's Candy in the first race. He has speed but the draw back is that there is other rabbits in this race. He is back from a two month freshening coming off a dull race in a distance that might not have suited him in the Sanita Anita Derby with Lookin at Lucky and Syndey's Candy. I will cross a line thru that race and expect a better performance from him today.  I have always thought that Jorge Periban does not get enough credit as being one of the best trainers in my opinion at this tough circuit. Macias seems to me better on turf then on the cushion track and looms as a win threat today. His speed numbers are solid and has tactical speed to break cleanly from the outside nine hole with Martin Garcia in the saddle. Dream Nettie gets a nice pace to close from off the pace and is a player today.  Russel Baze arrives here from the Bay area to ride Hudson's Landing by Maria's Mon who is a blue blood on turf. My concern is the acid class test and has not raced with this type of class horses today. Time will tell. But having said this, the chestnut owns a 3 race win streak and must be considered as a player. Ukandoit is a major player if he can get the distance and I think will be on the lead with others like Who's Up but gets Mike Smith and he is on the rail which has been winning at a 27% clip.

Race 9               Six Furlong Maiden Claimer (25K)
Hard race to finish the Sunday card. It looks like Massive Reaction along with Tricky Linda will be the speed. Blue Tango with Kahula Mist will be sitting right off of the pace. Loaded Gun is the horse to fear down the lane if Smith gets his horse more focused in the first part of the race.
