Race 1 One Mile Sixteenth Maiden Claimer (40K)
1. Misinjennuous
Race 2 Six Furlong Claimer (12K)
Samba Rooster drops from the sky after a long vacation and is firing Baffert bullets in the morning time. His Uno Numero man is taking the mount. This feels and smells like a fire sale on Baffert's part. But he will be supported at the tote today. If he runs anything close to what he is running in the morning time, the field will be running for second place. Smokenomore is a major player and the one to fear closing down the lane. Sognatore is the speed and might get brave on the lead and go gate to wire.
1. Sognatore
Race 4 Five Furlong Allowance
Pick three
4th ALL
5th Sky Chant,Westwood Pride,Glass of Red
6th Victory Joe
Race 5 One Mile Sixteenth Turf Starter Allowance
I like Sky Chant who beat If I knew Susie and Downhill Diva. Her June workouts in the morning are strong and I expect a big performance from her today. Westwood Pride a new face from the East gets the leading rider. She has tactical speed and the distance is no problem as she shortens up and will be on the bit and the lead!
$20 Win and Place on Sky Chant
Pay win $17.60 and Place $6.40
1. Sky Chant 2. Westwood Pride
Race 6 Seven Furlong Claimer (10K)
1. Victory Joe
Race 7 Six Furlongs Turf OCA
Ultra Blend has been freshen up for 10 months. Trained by Art Sherman she has been firing bullets for her come back today! She looks like she is cranked and ready to fire a winning race. She has hit the board in 9 out of her 11 races. Moreover, she has faced quality company like Carlsbad and the like. If the speed melts down Royal Tat will more likely be the one to fear down the lane. Via Veneto seems to me runs better on dirt then the turf. Came West out of Gone West is a honest filly and would be no surprise if she was at the winners circle today. This race is wide open so I will use a number of these fillies in my late pick three.
$10 Double 2 and 7 with 15
Race 8 Six Furlongs Maiden 25K
Mister Jazz finished second was six clear of the third place horse. Moreover, he was shuffled on the turn and with a clean break and trip is the one to beat. Ron Ellis cranks Qlympic Magic up after being freshened and looks live if he get in. Aeromon claimed by Cerin dueled setting the pace and a move forward today makes him a scary player today.
1. Quality Magic
