Saturday Hollywood Park

Great Weekend for Racing and it was a late Friday Night. The ROI for two days is $201.00 not great but there's always hope in the future. Looks like another Late Pick three is in the cards.... It was good to see that Warren's Wild Thing in which I put $20 to place, did in fact put a closing kick down the lane last night and payed $14.60 for the good fortune.  Good Luck and let's watch the feature race with Golden Itiz with the speed Ranger Hartley and Alphie's Bet.... My Pick in the Race is Skipshot to win with Golden Itiz and Alphie's Bet.

UPDATE:  Late Pick three pay $ 103.40
                                        Late Pick four pay $349.90
                                        Cost of bets $46
                                        ROI $407.30+$735=$1,114.23
                                        Bank is $1,114,23
                                        Good Day at the track
                                        Good Luck and Good Night!

Race 1       One Mile Sixteenth Turf Claimer 25K
Big Wig looks tough at a very short price today in the first race. It seems to me that this race should have a quick tempo with Victorian Prince and Nathaniel pressing the lead. Skellytown will benefit if there is a speed melt down.

Race 2       Six Furlong Maiden Claimer 40K
Goldwithegoldhoof exits a Key Race in which two horses came back and won there maiden race. She beat both of these horses. I like the fact that the trainer raises her today for 40K.  She has to deal with a Harris Farm horse Melon Up. She put together a big performance first time out in a maiden 50k race. Don't Dismiss Victor's mount Saanneen who's first race as a 2 year old was strong with good 2 year old speed figures.

$20 to place on Saanneen 6
          UPDATE ROI  $34 + $701= $735

Race 3        One Mile Turf Maiden Special Weight
Uzziah looks like he will be on the lead or pressing the lead from the outside with Royal F J.  I watched the video of Bodark's first race ans it appears he had a troubled trip in a solid debut. He can only improve I think with a race under his belt. A Moment in Time with turf pedigree and a trainer who runs his horses to get them fit and ready. He stretches out today and with his  Sire Danzig should love the added distance and the new surface.

             $20 Place 3 Bodark
              UPDATE ROI $36 + $735=$771

Race 4        Six Half Furlong Claimer 12K

               1. So Hottie

Race 5        Six Furlong Turf Maiden Special Weight
Platinum Mine is a blue blood to turf sprinter California Flag and Cambiocorsa. Enough said on pedigree with a strong debut and she showed her zip in her first race. So Nice is well bred and has been freshened since her last race at Santa Anita 2 months ago. Wooden Sky is a interesting sort with excellent breeding and a fast long work outs which I love. This might not be the best spot today for her but we will tab her down the line. Update: The Eight horse look good on the track. A first time starter and even the barn is  not betting her. But she looked good!

Race 6        Six Half Furlong Claimer 25K
After reviewing the horses in this Six and Half furlong claimer: Dish the Dirt has been freshened up and might be the class of the race and is the one to fear down the stretch. It looks to me like there are a number of rabbits in the race.  Coalbanks Landing, Sweet and Jazzy, and Meili will duke it out for the lead. In theory this sets it up for Dish the Dirt with Victory Dash and Costa Marta to win. Long shot is Sugar Spike with David Flores and had to need her last race.

Pick Four
6th.   4,5,6,8,10
7th    2,7,8
8th    1,2
9th    3

Race 7        One Mile Turf Allowance
El Nadia has been hangin like a cheap suit in three route races. I always have like Jim Rome.... Rome is burning Surfer Girl but has been a disappointment but she did have a excuse because she was sick for some time.  Always in Style is my long shot pick in this miler on the turf.

Late Pick three
7th 1,2,7,8
8th 1,2
9th  3, and Tyler Baze  Memphis Monster 4

Race 8        Affirmed H

                   1. Skipshot  2. Golden Itiz 3. Alphie's Bet
Long shot: Summer Movie (blinkers off )

Race 9        Six Half Furlong Maiden 32K
Tough to separate Revitialization  and Honour Family as my pick. Let's try the Jay Trotter method we played last night in the final race. Courtside should like the added distance but my concern is getting thru the traffic jam. Memphis Monster love the Sire and French as a trainer and look who's riding with this first time starter, Tyler *I'm Hot) Baze. I can't dismiss him but let's see a race with so so drills in the morning time. Dr. Chen as I told you last night scratched out of the last race and shows up here. Hmmm. I love the last work out and Roger does sometimes finds a nut or two! Eminent Honour goes for his 26 maiden race. Pass!  Battle Point should be somewhere closing at this distance. MisterfromMiami is a major player and has run races at makes him close to the wire. Art Sherman takes off the blinkers and he is a cagey trainer and Joe mounds this long shot.

                   1. Honour Family
