SANTA ANITA PARK MONDAY

Race 1
Turf race sprinting down the hill has the pace scenario of Italian Rule and Dance with Gable on the lead. The pace looks modest which makes it difficult for the closers like Get Funky and Dapper Gene. This looks like a jockey race. Dance With Gable gets back on turf and drops in class.
1. Get Funky 2. Dance With Gable 3.Pack Your Bags
Ticket -$18
Race 2
The speed of this claiming route race is the double hike in class Self Insured trained by Jack Carava. He will be over-bet just makes me what to bet against him. No value here! Can he run back to back winning races? If you look at his back history the answer is not really! I like Woodland Flood who finally is getting off the turf. I have semi followed his disappointing career because I have in the past bet this guy. He looks better on dirt and gets Patrick to sit right off the pace and dig in at the top of the lane. Bred by Glenn Hill Farms and trained by Joe Herrick who has put him at a level where he has a chance to win. He has two morning drills after his comback race on January 20th. The odds will be a whole lot better then Self Insured or Dontmesroundwithim the likely favorites. Marquet Rebel and Job Boss will pick up the pieces.
1Woodland Flood 2 Capture The Call
Race 3
A good route race at this low level of claimers. Low Gear Power is finally at a level where he can win. Mike Mitchell and Martin Garcia hook up together. I like this play! The speed looks like My Man Sumo who tells this field come catch me. He has won routing before at Del Mar a long time ago. Royal Import a closer takes a hike up in class to face this salty cast of runners. No Dream drops from the sky to face this group with tactical speed.
1 Low Gear Power 2. My Man Sumo 3. No Dream
Ticket -$18
Race 4
A cool race down the hill. This is a wide open Four year old turf race. The speed looks to be Bradium......Come get him..... He got nailed at the wire by Fanning's horse last time out. I like Kuro who is training fast for his comeback race down the hill for Michael Machowsky. Kuro has won going down the hill last year! Check out his last three fast long works....... He looks ready to ramble..... California Solider might be the horse to fear for the deadly Sadler-Rosario combo...!
1. Kuro California Solider
Ticket -$18
Race 5
The first time starter for Baffert who sends out winners from his barn each and every week at this meet. Hoorayforhollywood debuts today with fast works in tow. Do not take Grip Hands lightly because he was well bet and one race does not make a carrer. I expect he is a better horse then what happen last time out. Rothko looks live with fast works and the distance is ideal for a first time starter. A tough salty cast of first time starters. It looks wide open to me.
1 Horrayforhollywood 2 Guy On The Go 3. Rothko
Rothko and of course Grip Hands has a big look
Pick Three 2,4,6,7 with 1,14 with 5,6
Race 6
AZ Warrior is the best filly....... She looks to be cranked up for Bob Baffert and runs fresh! The pace scenario might have Bloemer Girl out on the lead. She is the speed of this race but there look to be other speed horses she will have to battle with. Cathy's Crunches switches to the turf with good turf pedigree is a major contender. Cloney Lass first race after her comback has a big shot down the hill. I like the horse on the rail Rigoletta but my pick is AZ Warrior
1 Rigoletta 2. Latin Lashes 3. Cloney Lass
Cost -$12
Race 7
Forty Paces on paper looks like the horse to beat if you can! She looks like she is spotted for a big win. I lke Coy Princess.
1. Forty Paces 2. Coy Princess
Late Pick Three 5,6,7 with 1,3,5,8 with 2
Race 8
Evening Jewel is a classy mare! ....... Spring Style has a kicker late kick down the lane. Malibu Pier is better at this distance and surface.............but I like a upset here Cozy Rosie
1 Cozy Rosie 2. Malibu Pier 3. Evening Jewel
long look at Briecat........... speed!!!
Race 9
1 DJ's Wildcat 2. Gaelic Glory 3. Breakmark
