Santa Anita
Race 1 Six Half Claimer 20K
Banana Cream Pie has run 4 goods races except her last when she pulled on the bit and was eased late. A contender flying late. A wide open race that has no pretenders! Memo To Kathy looks like the filly to beat here!
Race 2 One Mile Sixteenth Claimer 22K
1. Samba School
Race 3 Kalookan Queen Stakes
Mother Ruth trained by Baffert fired a blazing morning work over the track. Six furlongs 1:11 and change.... Fast! The horse if fit is seeking her 4th straight win is Quisisana..... Bejarano stays fit to ride....Beware..... Gilded Gem is a mare I have followed during her short career...... she will be closing late.
1. Quisisana 2. Mother Ruth 3. Gilded Gem
Race 4 Six Furlongs Maiden Special
A blue blood high price sprint for maidens..... Temp ran into a buzz saw his last race........ where Chapmans Peak beat him.......Looks like Bejarano goes to the Baffert colt. Brace Yourself showed talent running his first race with Twirling Candy and got 3rd. As for first time starters check the tote board with Bafferts other horse Fast Master. The high price first time starter One Nation looks like a runner to me.
1. Temp 2. Brace Yourself 3. Fast Master
Race 5 One Mile Turf Claimer 40K
At Santa Anita Van Brit loves this course and is the horse for the course! Waltzing Swan I like the class hike and she almost beat Talktoomuch........ she can win this! A good betting race for the public...... Rule The Storm is a player with Start Jumpin Marine. A interesting horse is Farley Star who switched barns to Carla Gaines..... has a long look here! She had to need her last high price allowance race.
1. Hot Citizen 2. Lady Alex
Race 6 Six Furlongs Maiden Special
The speed might be Rolling Tide......but I like Brian Koriner filly with Joel Rosario up....... lot's to like about this one..Excessively Trick!
1. Excessively Trick 2. Rolling Tide 3. A Natural
Swiss Charm looks live
Race 7 One Mile Allowance Turf
1. Sky Cape 2. Sundarba 3. Blue Chagall
Race 8 Six Maiden Claimer 40K
I like Merlin Z out of the Adam Kitchingman barn. He has tactical speed with his main man up in the irons. I like his morning drills. Brite Dreamer is my other top pick...Marty Jones first time starter!!
