MONDAY AT OAK TREE HOLLYWOOD PARK

Sunday I made one bet a late pick three which hit and paid minus the cost of the bet $150.70. Sunday's Bank started with $910.30 +$150.70 equals $1061    Monday's Bank $1061.00

Race 1          Six Half Furlongs Starter Allowance

You can make a case for a win with each and every horse in this starter allowance. The pace  scenario looks like Hugs To All will be sent to the front end. Catch Me If You Can which at six and half furlongs the pace setters usually get reeled in by the stretch runners. Quintons Flash will try to reel in Hugs To All. He like the distance and the track. D'Oro Dancer can save ground on the rail and reel in the speed. He needs a fast pace but the distance is ideal for him...... a contender on the win end. Big Revolution exits a key maiden 25 K dollar race in which 2 horses out of that race came back and won. A Contender to win! Honour Family last two races he had problems at the gate and on the backstretch of his last race. If he can get away without getting into trouble at the start of this race he can win this with his running style and speed numbers. If he shows up he can be dangerous at the top of the stretch. Court Hero exits a fast race at Hollywood then ran a respectable starter allowance race. Do not take this horse lightly.  He is fresh and his works looks like he is cranked up.

  $20 Place on 4 Returned ROI $76.00

Race 2          Six Furlongs Claimer 8K

Brought It will be among the likely rabbits along with Popular Date and County Kildare. If the factions are fast and the speed melts down then First Queen who cuts back to a sprint can reel them in. First Queen looks fit and in form. A Contender to win this low level sprint. Havens Lake had to need her last race and she gets added distance. She exits a race at Fairplex that was live in which horses coming out of that race came back and won.

Race 3          Six Half Furlongs Maiden Special Weight

Lea The Punisher ran a winning race her last race getting beat by a nose. She was five lengths ahead of the third place horse. She will be the favorite and the horse to beat if you can.! Officer Leah ran into trouble her debut. She was steadied on the backstretch and then made a move at the top of the lane then flattened out. She looks like a contender with a race under her belt. Beware! As for first time starters Makoma is bred for speed coupled with a sire that sends out daughters that win early. She has trained excellent for her first race. She looks like a runner on papers.

Race 4          Six Furlongs Claimer 40K

A interesting race for 2 year old fillies sprinting for a claiming price of 40K dollars. The pace looks hot and contested with most of these fillies challenging for the lead. Brazzle Dazzle will go to the front with Spark City. Desperate Measures her last race pressed a hot pace at Del Mar in a 100 grander. She looks like she will be pressing the pace. The pace sets up for a closer a Yellow Sticker fits this to a tee. She was claimed first time out at Del Mar. Terry Knight can flat gets them to turn around and Mike Smith takes the call. I think she is better then she looks on paper. Ashley's Gamble is seeking her third straight win......... and just might be the filly to fear.  Lucky Sis with be flying late at the wire. A contender to reel in the rabbits is Luck Sis. A interesting live filly is Missilette who had a troubled trip being steadied her last race. Her race at Del mar is got the rail which is a hard position to run at when you are green and young. Beware of Missilette she has run races at Hollywood that makes her a nice fit with her style and her speed numbers.

Pick Three  All with  6,11,12 with  4  cost of ticket $21.00

Race 5          Six Half Maiden  25K

Syllabus first race was good. He had a trouble debut having been hit and steadied when he came out of the gate. He then got himself together and flew by down the lane finishing with more to spare. If he gets a clean break he looks like the major contender on the win end. Warren's Tommy Too has the edge in experience over the first time starters but it would take a major improvement to run down Syllabus if he show any improvement over his debut. As for first time starters Royal Import looks like a runner to me.

Race 6          One Mile Sixteenth Turf Allowance

A Great betting turf race that is wide open for California Bred fillies and mares. The pace comes out void of any pure speed on the front end..... It depends on what the trainers and jockeys will do. Taxi Ride might be sent to the lead with Serene Sophia who stretches out today switching to turf. Taxi Ride is making her third start and has gas to lead this group till the top of the stretch. She might hang on...... she is fit and in form. A contender to win this race. Serene Sophia should love the added distance. She is bred for this distance and bred for turf. She will likely be the favorite because of the pedigree and connections. Laura Beasley is on the improve and will be flying late to reel in the stretch runners. She has the look as a real contender at the wire with a hint of a price at the windows. I like her! Party With Brando looks awesome winning at Fairplex. Her draw back is she does not run on turf yet. Her record on turf is horrible. I think the filly to fear is the filly who is getting back on turf today.....Melbisha. She is trained by Neil French by High Brite. Corey N. takes the mount and he is one of the best on turf....... so Beware she can win this race with a little luck down at the wire....

     1. Melbisha   2. Laura Beadley  3. Taxi Ride

Race 7          Six Furlongs Turf Morvich Stakes

A great betting race with many contenders and few pretenders:

1. Truest Legend is bred for turf top to bottom.  He looks to be the speed of this race. Catch Me If You Can is his tune! His second race after a lay off and ran a respectable last race..... He gets the test on class and has never run with a field like this field..... He has the pedigree and speed figures to fit with this field. He has been training excellent and most likely will be overlooked by the public.

2. Quietly Mine ........ by the mare Roar..... this gelding is a good turf horse but not great yet....... He will close but it looks to me he will be running for a minor award........ I have bet this horse before but in slower races then this type of field. But he does pay for the food and motel bill with his record....

3. Scenic Blast a Grade 1 winner in England....... He ran a great race with Smiling Tiger this year in the Bing Crosby race at Del Mar. He should love getting back to sprinting today... The Real Deal for John Shirreffs........... He can win this from off the pace......

4. Afleet Ruler beat Quietly Mine his last time out. He fits but is no win machine. He does his best runner at the wire and will be flying late if the speed melts down during this race. He always runs a good race hitting the board in 14 out of 16 races......... Beware he loves this track and this surface.......... a contender to win!

5. Connagher just wins races........has gas and tactical  speed. His last race he beat Square Deal who came back and won. Menus Meat came back and won yesterday on the rail....... He has won 4 races straight. He will be overlooked because of this field........ but really there really is no monster sprinter in this race.......... the field is quality runners but this horse can pop up and win from right off of the rabbit Lt. Hopeful.

6. Quick Enough by High Brite is one tough cookie. He ran with California Flag one of the best sprinters on the West Coast. With a little more luck and distance he would have beat the Flag! Beware of this guy......

7. Dilemma looks the part of the angle route to sprint. He is coming off a 54 day lay off....... He needs a perfect speed melt down to win this........ a minor award if any!

9. Lt Hopeful one of the 2 speed types in this race........ This guy and the rail horse Truest Legend. He ran with Quick Enough in the Green Flash....... and was not beat by much........He has been off training for this race for 54 days....... I like this one....

Late Pick Three     3,6   with 1,2,3,8 with 1,2,11  $-24.00

Race 8          Six Furlongs Claimer 25K

A sprint for horses that never have won two races! So trend lightly here....... Hot Little Bug has not race in more then a year.... but the postive signal is that Julio Canani trains Hot Little Bug and does have a bullet work out her last morning drill. Look who is riding this mare....... Joel Rosario........ beware! Saanneen has a ton of trouble her last race at the bullring. I pick her to win that race and she was pulled hard on the rail then she was steadied down the back stretch....taking her out of her game........she did finish second. She looks fit and in form. She drops to make a money run here. She can win this race from right off the pace. My Sister Laureen sure looked good winning at Fairplex going 4 furlongs. She might regress with a big effort last time out. But she shook free of that field and just mashed the foes. A Player at 15 to 1 morning line. Miss Peanut never has run in this condition...... she drops and likely will be a mid pack closer trying to reel in the speed. She has the speed figures to win this...... Beware of Miss Peanut....... she looks fit and in form. She might be running her best race at this condition today. Lots to like about her! Costa Marie will be one of the speed horse on the front end. She is no win machine with her six race at this very condition. I'm siding with others but she has one asset that is good..... her speed. A interesting live long shot is Road To Reason and it is about time she gets off the turf and does to the cushion track...... She shortens up today and David  Flores rides this stone cold closer.......... she needs a speed fiasco and a complete melt down but she fly be flying late at the wire....... Has a good chance to win this. A wide open race with horses trying to win there second race of there career.

$20 Place on Road to Reason    ROI $78.00

Race 9          One Mile Turf Maiden Special

This maiden special turf race looks wide open with a number of blue blood first time starters. Slammer Time the likely favorite..... one good race does not make a mortal lock. Minutesandtouches had run with much better company. He takes on turf for the first time. He is bred top to bottom for the turf. A major player!  Special Kid by Lemon Drop Kid ran a respectable 3rd against Indian Winter and Jaycito who came back and won. He should love the distance and is bred for the turf. A Major Player! War Pilot is just bred excellent for the turf........ he should love the grass today. His dad was a son of Danzig who has produced turf winners. Prince  Bandini with a race under his belt finished a respectable fourth........ a step forward and he can win this with good turf pedigree. Another blue blood in this race is Wegner trained by Bob Baffert and look who is riding Wegner........ the main man..... Martin Garcia. A son of Dynaformer which is bred for turf and bred to love the distance......... lots to like about this one! Northern Indy love the pedigree and he has a look ....... check this one out during the warm up! A wide open affair...with 2 Candy Ride first time starters........A interesting live long shot is Polly's Dancer trained by a guy who is under rated and look who's up.......... P-Val takes this live first time starter. By the Danzig sire he has been drilling long seven furlongs work outs to prepared him for this race........ I like him today!

  $20 Place on Polly's Dancer   $- 20.00
