FRIDAY NIGHT AT OAK TREE HOLLYWOOD

Bank update for Wednesday and Thursday. Yesterday was a good day hitting a pick three for $986.00.  First, lets go back to see what happen on Wednesday. Wednesday's profit and lost totaled a profit of $54.00.  Wednesday Bank was $1,843.00 plus $54.00 equals $1,897.00. Thursday in Race 3 I bet $20 across the board on the number one horse Recipient and returned a profit of $84.00. I hit the pick three ending in race 6th. The ticket cost was high for me as I thought the favorite would run out in the 4th which it did. I place a small $20 to show on the number one horse Saanneen which returned a awesome $13.40 to show. ROI $114.00 plus $84 on Race 3 totals a profit of $198.00. The pick three ticket cost was a whopping $72.00 minus the $198.00 equals $126.00. The pick three paid was great....... ($986.50.00.) A signer! Minus $20 for the last bet I place with the first time starter Roaring Rick which ran out! Thursday's profit was $1,092.50. Adds this to Friday's Bank and the profit for Oak Tree at Hollywood is $2,989.50. Oak Tree with the limited numbers of horses in the field has been fair with speed and mid-pack runners and even stone cold closers.

                      FRIDAY BANK  $2,989.50

Race 1          Six Furlongs Maiden 32K

The rabbit Miss Picaboo the daughter of Spend A Buck trained by AC has David Flores sending her hard at the gate. She looks to have the lead at the quarter and half mile pole. "Come Catch Me." Her main rivals are Lutess who ran into a buzz saw when Moonlight Ali beat her. She is a honest tough customer hitting the tote board in each of her  five starts. Lutess and Miss Picaboo race at Del Mar and Lutess beat her! Miss Picaboo needs a slight improvement and she can win this race. The scary dropper Zippin E goes to route to sprint and try to reel in both of these fillies at the wire. She is trained by Mike Mitchell by Carson City should be able to sit, wait and pounce on the speed down the stretch. Joe Talamo takes the call tonight. Miss Addy Kiss trained by Neil French takes a slight drop from 40K to 32K maidens. Her first debut was respectable finishing fourth but only three lengths off the lead. She will try to reel in the speed.  I love the long workouts and she looks pose to strike at the top of the lane....

Race 2          Six Furlongs Maiden 32K

First thing about this race is that this field looks suspect and therefore wide open. The morning line favorite The Zapana has speed in a race void of any real fast factions. Dan Hendrick's has been on fire at this meet. So I do not discount anything he sends out lately. She looks weak and will be over bet here! Onion Ring Trained by Bob Hess has also been on fire at this meet. She is making her second start and she has gas. Tab for major improvement tonight. Timetobegone exits a key maiden race so please take note that she was well bet in her debut at Fairplex Park. The horse that got second came back and won... a key maiden race. The speed of this race just might be Real Rocket and gets P-Val and tells this crowd " Come Catch Me." Even Sweet Consolidator can win this wide open affair! A two year old filly High Water Cat by Storm Cat has decent works......... might want to take a long look at her during the warms up before the start of the race. The Jockey is hitting at 33% and the trainer is a cagey guy from LA.......

Race 3          One Mile Sixteenth Starter Allowance

The speed of this race is Warren's Gridlock who just won his maiden claiming sprint race. He tries two turns tonight....... but this is a ideal position for him because the lack of any front runners in the group. The  Malibu Moon gelding Uncle Greg should be sitting right off the pace leader. He has speed and tactical speed having wired a field at seven furlongs at Del Mar. Right next to Uncle Greg should be It's Not Unusual trained by the red hot  Dan Hendrick stable should be in great position to jump on the leaders and win this entry level allowance race. His main rival is Uncle Greg! The up setter in this short six man field is Casa O who looks like he finally has learn how to rate and win...... He can win this!

       1. Casa O   2. It's Not Unusual  3. Uncle Greg

- $40

Race 4          One Mile Sixteenth Turf Claimer 50K

Lyons Barton claimed by another hot trainer at Oak Tree Kristin Mulhal. She puts on blinkers tonight to settle him down and focus more on the race. This turf route race has absolutely no real speed. I can envision at horse wiring this race. Straighttomidnight has speed if the jockeys sends him. The scary return horse is Saravas Wild Again who has been freshened up for this race. He loves the distance and is a turf horse that can reel in the speed if he wants to or can be near or on the lead if the jockey sends him. The gelded son of Sarava ran into a buzz saw when Thomas Baine flew by him at Del Mar. He looks spotted for action tonight.! Keen Bidder gets a top turf jockey Corey Nakatani and has back class! Beware tonight I like this horse with good odds...

Race 5          One Mile Sixteenth Maiden 25K

Tsunami Warning is stretching out to two turns as a sprinter in his two prior races. He looks live! The most logical winner is Dave's Ruler a stone cold closer a plodder type......that I usually stay away from. But in this field he last race might be a indication that tonight is his night to break his maiden. He was well clear of the third horse Kim's Leading Man who came back and won. Anga gets a positive switch in jockeys to P-Val....... so he fits with this group. Southoftheequator was my long shot bet his last race. He nows gets added distance which just might be up his alley. Warren's Tommy Too has speed and if he can run back to some of his prior races he a big shot to take this field............ Still looks like Dave's Ruler race to win or lose!

       1. Dave's Ruler     2. Warren's Tommy Too   3. Anga

Race 6          One Mile Sixteenth Turf Claimer 32K

I like Swift Winds who has faced better then this field and if you can give him a valid excuse at the bullring then he looks like he is spotted  for action with a hint of a value price as well. Orange is coming back with good works and the right style to reel in the speed types. This field you can make a good case for almost every runner in this group. The standout is Dynamic Range but was scratch because of the rain....... now gets what he like the turf route tonight. P-Val will send to the lead Yvett's Pride........ he has a shot..... Mr. Katz is the horse of the course and just wins turf races. I like him in this race to upset this field.

        1. Swifts Winds   2. Mr. Katz   3. Dynamic Range

Race 7          Six Furlongs Claimer  40K

All Six starters looks like on paper that each and every one can win this wide open race........ tough call with this race. I guess the call goes to Usurp claimed last time out and has tactical speed to close for a win. Beware of Position A at this very level. Dapper Gene has a somewhat trouble affair his last race. He finished full of run and if he does not do the classical bounce and takes this group. He was claimed by Ted West who knows his horses and I expect Dapper Gene might put it all together tonight! Came aboard looks live after a freshen up........... mid-pack closer.

          1. Dapper Gene  2. Usurp    3. Came Aboard

Race 8          Seven furlongs Claimer  12K

I like the rail horse Arkham Asylum with blinkers on tonight. He should get a ground saving trip on the rail and is deadly at this level. He looks like he runs on the cushion track getting a second at a entry level starter allowance race. I expect that he is fast enough to reel in the speed at seven furlongs. Look who climbs aboard!

          1. Arkham Asylum     2. Big Revolution  3. Cat Brando
