The bank is in the black. I place a $20 win on Night Justice which won. Then $20 to win on Suances De Espana and won.... coupled with a $20 place on Sea Viper who place. The late pick four I hit after I place a $20 win on Single Shot in the final race of the day.......minus $44 of Pick Three ticket when 3 was taken down a placed second. I will tally up the Bank today after the races............... Good Luck!

Race 1             Four Furlongs Maiden 32K
Call Hera Goddess trained by the leading trainer of 2 year old babies looms larger as the one to beat. She was well bet in debut adds blinkers gets Lasix and takes a drops in class.  Why no Martin Pedroza who rode this filly her first race is my main concern!  Kassy K  may improve at a shorter distance......on paper she looks off form.  As for a first time starter Spumoni bred in Florida looks live first time out. I love the long series of work outs this filly has put together. Goddess Isis had speed up north....... coupled with a bullet blow out at Fairplex is a major contender!




Race 2             Four Furlongs Open Maiden 32K
The same maiden race as the first race but with colts going four furlongs. Future Readings by Too Much Bling takes the biggest drop from open maiden special weight to maiden 32K...... please do not take this horse lightly........... looks like a runner! Secret Agreement 2 races back showed speed and beat the morning line favorite Mi Marino at Hollywood. Golden Warrior if he draws in fits with this field. He has speed and I expect will run his fastest race at this distance... Bubba Shrimpkin  with a live trainer and jockey combo looks live as a first time starter!



Race 3             One Mile Sixteenth Optional Claimer
Jack's Wild is one for one at Fairplex so take note. He gets off turf and has a good looking closing kick down the lane. It looks like a race for the Senior Citizens....... Valiant Effort 7 years old is trained by Ron Ellis and Pedroza rides the even money morning line favorite. Unusual Smoke looks better on dirt and his third race off a short lay off should show major improvement........ has tactical speed to win this race. He has the highest speed numbers in the race and the speed monkeys will hammer down on him!

Race 4             Four Furlongs Maiden 32K
Purgestein was bet down like the second coming his last race and was pulled up and vanned off. He now comes back with a bullet fast work out...... your call! Si Es Verdad great pedigree by Yes It's True shortens up to 4 furlongs and 2 races back he showed speed.  A contender.  If Wildest Passion draws in this speedy invader has low speed numbers but speed is a major asset going 4 furlongs at the bullring. Martin Pedroza takes the call on a first time starter trained by Kathy Walsh who gets them cranked up fit and ready to fire! Excessario by a sire who hits at 18% winners and the dam is 4 for 4 with winners the first time out....... Beware!

Race 5             Six Furlongs Maiden Special
Miss Picaboo has run races that she should have won with a little more racing luck. She has the outside horse Onenightin Beijing to fear....... This race is filled with rabbits.......D' Elegance trained by Bob Baffert has a speed horse who know gets off the Del Mar rail and had a somewhat trouble trip her last race......... this is her second race coming off a lay off........ a player at good odds. Stormy Linda won her first race her first time out but was DQ'ed......  she takes a jump up in class and will be overlooked by the bettors.... Limited Passion she is jumping up a notch to try maiden special weight but ran a respectable second to cal-bred maidens at 40K........... she still need to face company that our fastest then she has faced before....... a interesting maiden race........... with Miss Picaboo and Beijing to deal with!


Race 6             One Mile Sixteenth Maiden 25K
Yes I know the negatives about my pick but I'm sticking to my pick! I can hear you laughing as I type this:

A wide open contentious race and quite frankly a good betting race for the bettors....

Race 10           Six Furlongs Maiden Special Weight

Jailbird Jimmy flopped at the I'm Smokin Stakes race....... but had a excuse as he was a maiden facing winners for the first time. He is not a rabbit with pure speed and needs help on the front end..... but is a contender. Mr. Sierra might be sent to the lead or lay back off the pace and make a killer closing kick down the lane. He has the morning work out to be the speed. Great excellent fast works outs.... so beware!........ Dan Hendrick claimed a horse by Tommy Town for 40K and now jumps up Call Me Later........ he is a player and major contender......... As for first time starters I like Shelter Cove trained by O'Neil and David Flores who takes the call!

Race 11           Six Half Bangles and Beads

1. Via Veneto is trained by Bob Baffert gets the leading rider at Fairplex and Brad's Free morning line is a generous 8 to 5.  Her big speed numbers is what I like about her....... no mortal lock on the win end!

2. Lauren C trained by a under rated trainer Victor Garcia has tactical speed........ look she beat Welkin who has become a monster on the turf at Hollywood....... no turf here but good horses can run on any surface and and any distance....... not a one dimensional type of runner........ And I expect a big performance from her today!  I like her......!


3. Terrify is one for one at Fairplex ...... and gets off the turf after a horrible trip her last race and was unlucky to lose.... might just be the horse to beat........ and the trainer has won a race at Fairplex after becoming the Ice Man at Del Mar!


4. She's Very Rare is coming back after 10 months off....... is a stone cold closer and needs a perfect speed melt down to win....... a minor award if any!


5. Broadway Hennessey is coming off the bench..... has not raced in 2 months  but is firing bullets for her return. A Player!

Race 12                Six Furlongs Maiden 25K
Touch A Dream adds blinkers and the distance will help her with a ground saving trip on the rail with speed....... She is a player! The maiden special weight dropper Isn't She Sweet fits with this field. She might show up at this bottom feeder level.  Shez Seeing Stars loom the horse to fear....... she has run races that can win this race. She should be close to the lead if not on the lead....... Beware!  As for first time starter Martin Pedroza look live on Warren's Blossom...... If you think outside the box and the pace scenario does not match the past performances of the contender's then look at the number four horse for a bomb. Think zen like... I included the 4 and 10 in my late pick four.
