HOLLYWOOD PARK ANALYSIS – THURSDAY

A new twist on my blog. I play very few races and my favorite bet is Pick three's and Pick four's and of course win, place and sometimes show. Starting Friday night I will start posting my bets on my blog and tally up my wins and loses each day. I will use the cyber-money of five hundred dollars. Today's card looks like chalk .... and favorites and second favorite win 62% of the time. This is the reason to use smart money management at the track. Pick Six Carryover

Race 1     Six and Half Furlongs Claimer 10k
No Value and the best bet would to play a Pick Four using  Morey's claim: Ultra Awesome.... Saint's Crown is the speed and catch him because he will be on the lead. Foresureforesure is a major player, so use all three in your pick four.


Race 2     Five Furlong Maiden 40k Claimer

Race 3     One Mile and  Half Turf Claimer 62k
 Falcon Rock drops in class as he finished second behind Acclamation in the Jim Murry last month at Hollywood. Falcon Rock and Lease of Life who adds blinkers and gets Bejarano are the two top contenders in this race today. Enough said!  Beunos Dias has run races that makes him a contender to hit the board but very unlikely to see him win over Falcon Rock or Lease of Life. He has never won the the United States.

Race 5      Six Furlongs Allowance 43k
It seems to me that this race might set up for a horse with a closing kick down the lane. I can envision Street Car going gate to wire. Street Car while breaking his maiden at a route is a better sprinter and cuts back to a sprint today. Buck's Bro had a horrible trip last race and was blocked at the top of the lane. Today if he gets a clean trip is the one to fear at the wire. Having said this Buick's Bro is no win machine and might meet a field with slow factions if Street Car does not try to wire this field. This race can go many ways. Patriotic Soldier and Deep and Dark missed at this condition by a nose.

Race 7       Six Furlong Turf Allowance
Privilaged has excellent two year old speed numbers at Del Mar and should like the turf. I have follow this horse since his early days at Del Mar....... I expect a closing kick to run down the speed which might be Locksley Hall.
