OPENING DAY AT THE BEACH AT DEL MAR

                                     BANK $100.00

Welcome as Del Mar season starts today with full, competitive fields and opportunities for value plays...........Patience coupled with money management is the key to be in the Black at the end of the 2014 season.........Let's have a profitable season.

Now, close your eyes and stand in the sun and a warm ocean breeze comes from the surf then imagine the sound of Trevor Denman stating " Your need to have wings to catch this horse." as the gate is right in front of the crowd.

Degree of Difficulty..........Competitive.....I'am passing a number of races today.....

My Bet is only one today....a late pick four :

5,3 with 2,9,12 with 2,9,10 with 8

RACE 1

Welcome guys and dolls........the start of the 2014 Del Mar Season is a one mile claimer for non winners of two at this distance..........

ANALYSIS:

A big contentious field start's the season. Give a hand to Rafael Bejarano his first start since the month of May. Fit To Rule trained by Jerry will need some ground saving tactics as he is on the extreme outside post. He is hot at the claim box.......He wins races.

Big Wags when right in the head has both tactical speed and pure sprint speed to be on the lead early......claimed by Spawr in April he has taken time off.......good jockey claims aboard.......He warrants respect in the opener.

The X factor is Hawk's Eyes a turf horse switching surfaces.......He is training excellent with long work outs which I love to see......has speed and cuts back to one mile........A.C. is a sneaky trainer that might have a live one.

I will try to beat the head case Big Wags........it's your call!

           1. Hawk's Eyes    WON
           2. Fit To Rule
           3. Old Man Lake

RACE 2

A maiden bottom dweller's sprinting six and half furlongs for fillies and mares.

ANALYSIS:

This is a grab bag of a cheap maiden sprint. Brian Koriner has a small stable.........He is a excellent trainer that is under-rated. He claimed Lustrous Suances from Red Baron Barn's in her debut.......She broke slow and ran around the track like a public outing.........I expect her second start will be much better then her debut........She has been working at Los Al with some sharp fast works........Joe Talamo takes over which is a major plus in this grab bag. I like her three last works when Brian took her.

Spirit Of Ten looks like she is ready to break on over to the other side........Julio trains her and she was six lengths clear of the third horse in her last race.

Citizenship........The King of maidens Bob Baffert sends out this big time dropper.......beware! of Bird in Love

          1. Bird In Love    WON
          2. Spirit Of Ten
          3. Citizenship

           Long Shot   Take It Slowly

RACE 3

A sprint which is a optional claimer for three year old fillies and mare and older.

ANALYSIS:

Hail Mary a horse on my watch list is coming back to run in her 2014 debut....the last time we saw her run was Sept last year.......She fires fresh and like this track.......check out her fast works and plenty of them to tell me that she warrants respite despite the long lay off.

My Happy Face is one talented filly that is lightly race......She too is coming back off a long lay off........Miller and Bejarano team up on this class dropper........She is one game filly with 11 races 3 wins 4 place and 1 show.

A major player facing the come backers is Biorhythm who knows where the winner circle is.........trained by Proctor and owned by Glen Hill Farms she will give her rivals all she has in this race.

I like Kinz Kunky Money..........friend told me he has been working up a storm.

         1. Kinz Kunky Money     WON
         2. My Happy Face
         2. Hail Mary

RACE 4

A route race for cheap maiden's which are three years old and up.

ANALYSIS:

Baffert has a interesting high odds maiden in this race........Hold Everything.......this is a tough wide open contentious race so tread lightly. Major Player's looks to be Aftermarketslam....... Golden Chalice.......Cotton Valley and a interesting live long shot from back east Money Fan.

Degree of Difficulty:  High

           1. Golden Chalice
           2. Aftermarketslam   WON
           3. Money Fan

RACE 5

One mile and a sixteenth on the turf  N2X optional claimer for three year old's and up.

ANALYSIS:

A tough turf race that is wide open: There is two horses that I like here......Jules Journey with Mike Smith riding and my long shot play Layton Register at the morning line of 20 to 1.......Corey rides and he is one of the best turf jockeys if not the best on this circuit.

            1. Super Ability    WON
            2. Little Jerry
            3. Den's Legacy

RACE 6

A Cal Bred maiden special weight race for two year old's going five furlongs. The first time starter Quiet Thunder trained by Gains has quick win early pedigree.........He looks like a runner to me. He will need to clear the rail early to win this dash.

Pulmarack a first timer hooks up with Jerry and Bejarano........excellent pedigree and nice works tell me that he is a live one from the outside........

         1. Quiet Thunder
         2. Pulmarack
         3. London Legacy

RACE 7

A starter 40 G allowance on the main track for three year old's and up.

ANALYSIS:

Sir Macho on my watch list gets Mike Smith to ride......claimed then won his last race has the perfect racing style......speed or he can sits back and make his final kick.......above average turn of foot.

           1. Sir Macho
           2. Sonicvelocity

Late Pick 4    5,3 with 2,9,12 with 2,9,10 with 8   out

Pick three    2,9,10 with  2,9,10 with 8   PAID $1,500

RACE 8        OCEANSIDE STAKES

One mile on the turf for three year old's.

ANALYSIS:

Forever Juanito is on the outside......but he can quickly get to the rail to save ground......He will be over looked at the windows in the Oceanside.........He is improving each and every race.......He had a ton of trouble in his last start.

       1. Forever Juanito
       2. G. G. Ryder
       3. Enterprising         won

RACE 9

Passing Game is a interesting live long shot that is coming back fresh.......I like the works and trainer jockey combo at the morning line of 20 to 1.

nsideondoutside loves this track......has plenty of speed up front to sit back and chill and make a final kick for home........never been this low.........good trainer and jockey combo!

         1. Passing Game      won

RACE 10

One mile and a sixteenth on the turf as the conditions is non winner's of 2014 for the claiming price of 32 G's.

ANALYSIS:

The pace is void of any pure sprint speed..........so I expect the jockey's are the key regarding the pace. I expect Steiner to have Persuasive Paul on the early lead clearing the rail early. He might need a race under his belt since he has been off more then six months. Beware as he is now four year old and should be more mature and more on the muscle.

Affrettando loves this turf course......Pender and Bejarando team up on this live horse that I like.

         1. Affrettando         won
         2. Persuasive Paul
