SUNDAY

RACE 1

One mile on the main track a 20 G claiming race for four years old's and up. Bluegrass Reward likes this track...clocker's like this one to in the morning. He is strong with the speed numbers and has a touch of back class years ago.......

Prime Issue a shipper has speed which is a asset going one mile...He is in current form and a major player in this race.

Muchos Besos the favorite in this race is trained by Art Sherman...won at this track and He hikes Muchos Besos a tag higher claiming level level....that is a very good sign. He warrants respect.

I like We Have Lift Off trained by Karen Headley....when she sends out a horse that horse is usually very live........good pedigree by Gone West.......I was impressed with how he took care when he won his maiden race...a key maiden race......He shortens up to one mile.......both speed and tactical speed so Edwin will have two ways to ride him......

           1. We Have Lift Off   Bet to place     (place)
           2. Muchos Besos
           3. Bluegrass Reward            won

RACE 2

One mile on the turf for the claiming price of 50 G's..........for fillies and mare.

On class Redressthebalance takes a big drop in class......bred to get the one as she stretches out in distance. She drops into a tag for the first time for trainer Doug O'Neil.......Her last race was a mere prep for this race........big time switch in jockey.

Fantastic Mizz like this track as she has won at this condition and this distance.....She then ran over her head as the waters were too deep for her.........She back with friends.

I like the four year old filly Le Fascinator who is trained by Tom Proctor and uses the jockey that he brought along with him back east.......Van Dyke...........She need her last and she would have won if she did not have some much traffic problems as she could not get clear down at the wire. I like the hike from 32 G's to 50 G's.......... I watch Zippy My Way and was impressed with this one at five to one a good value play.

           1.  Zippy My Way     Bet to place   (place)
           2.  Redresstherbalance.......one to beat!
           3. Le Fascinator

           Long-shot Meltarib

.

RACE 3

The lowest level at this meet for a claiming price of 8 G's.  I like Queen of the hill....I have bet this one before a cashed a winning ticket.

1 Queen Of The Hill      Bet to win      won
            3. Vindicted Rule

RACE 4            SANTA BARBARA  STAKES RACE

One mile and a quarter on the turf for fillies and mare.

The hall of trainer Neil Drysdale has Miss Serendipity...the clocker's like her and is a getting used to the weather..... She is a Group 1 winner down south...she should relish this distanced.

Stormy Lucky sold privately and with Bejarano knows how to get her ready.

Customer Base will be rolling late.....and found one mile too short.....do not dismiss this one.

            1. Customer Base
            2. Stormy Lucky         won
            3. Miss Serendipity    second
.

RACE 5

Second level allowance at the distance of one mile on the main track.

Bob Baffert looks to have the winning hand in this race.....Cat Burglar and Big Kick.......Governor Charlie....

            1. Cat Burglar
            2. Big Kick
            3. Governor Charlie

RACE 6

A wide open turf sprint down the hill on the turf....this is a good betting race. Monument is due for a win by trainer Sadler.........Stevens has ridden him before and knows this horse.......excellent pedigree is son of Cindago is bred top to bottom for the turf.

Oliver Tale will be well bet in this turf sprint.  He come back race he had ton's of trouble never getting clear from the traffic problems he had........He is bred for the grass.

I like a long shot here Unusual Heatwave he comes in fresh......bred top to bottom for this surface. He has been on my watch list......Alexis has a small stable but she knows how to get them ready....Martin Garcia rides.

           1. Unusual Heatwave   Bet
           2. Monument
           3. Oliver's Tale

RACE 7

A good betting race is this starter allowance sprint on the main track. The field is big and it is about time that we have field's like this.   I was impressed with how Head South smoked a good field of highly talented maiden's. He was claimed by Palma ...they was five claims in for this one......Palma got the lucky of the draw. He is not the speed of the race but can draft right behind the speed......excellent turn of foot as the leading ridder rides......when he rides for Palma...at six to one morning line this is a good value bet.

Remind Mee switches back to the main track...He exits a highly key maiden race. He looks like the speed of the speed...come catch this one to win!

I was impressed how Bench Press killed the maiden field in his last start over this track. He earned the highest Beyer in this field...Sadler has given him time off so I expect he will not do the classic bounce.........love the long works...and the clocker's like him as well.

             1. My Funds Are Low     Bet
             2. Head South..the one to beat
             3. Remind Mee..

              Long shot Bench Press
.

RACE 8         SAN SIMEON STAKES

Six and a half turf sprint is the co feature down the hill on this tricky turf course.

Sweet Swap I was impressed when he won the Joe Hernandez Stakes...if he runs back to that race he will be very tough to bring down. Sadler has him to with the work out he has put into him since Feb........long drills and fast.

Lakerville I have always been impress with his speed...loves this course and he can close ultra fast if the speed meltsdown...He was way to deep in the Kilroe Mike...but this race he is back with friends.

The X factor is Artiest which is bred top to bottom for the turf..... a shipper from the mid west might out run his odds.

         1. Sweet Swap
         2. Pure Tactics
         3. Lakerville

        Long Shot Artiest

.

RACE 9

The bottom dwellers ends this week card.....a maiden claiming route race which at first glance a tough way to go out this week.....This week's card has been of of the weakest card's Santa Anita has out together.

I hope next week will be a much better races.....this week has been a week that has been tough to make money!.

The maiden dropper that Carla sends out A Little Luckier drops from Cal Bred maiden special weight to the bottom level....a win is a win. The drop concerns me but this is the his start.......Harris Farms bred and Gains is excellent trainer........She is sprinted before and press fast factions......

Kid Rollins is game at this level finishing on the board in his last three races.........a Major Player.......

I like daughter of the sire Bertrando.....one of the best sires we have had in California. Itsabeautifulday trained by Patrick Gallagher goes from semi sprin to a route...bred to run all day long......She fits on form and speed numbers.

            1. Kids Roller
            2. Isabeautifulday
            3. It's A Lucky Day
