THURSDAY
SANTA ANITA ANALYSIS
RACE 1
One mile turf allowance for fillies and mares. The small field includes......
1. A Jealous Woman.....Meza and Blanc team up....looked very awesome winning her last race. She moves up in class....lot´s to like!
2. Capital Plan......she switches to the turf as Hollendorfer and Rosario team up. She is talented!
3. Hemera.....She had to need her last start.....expect improvement...
4. Sweet Peppered.....moves way down in class......Bejarano rides her....She finished tenth in the Grade 2 Buena Vista H. She should show more stick at this level.....
5. Equitana......AC and Berrio team up....grade one winner in Brazil.....she press the pace in the Megahertz before fading to tenth.
Pace makes the race..... This is a competive field that every horse has a shot to win ......all contender´s....so take note of this before unloading...
1. A Jealous Woman.....like how she won
2. Capital Plan....needs to rebound
2. Sweet Peppered.....drops big time
Pick Three 1,2,4 with 1,2 with 4,6
UPDATE PAID $82.90
Pick Five 1,2,4 with 1,2 with 4,6 with 1,2,3 with 8
UPDATE $962.85
RACE 2
A six furlong sprint for 20 G´s for four years old and up.
1. Goggle McCoy.........speedy dude that gets back to the dirt....I had high expectation for him last year.....disappointment....so far..... drop in class relief will help.
2. Maui Mark.......beat Position A last time out....wired the field. He has speed to his inside.....might be a pace dual....
3. Quietly Mine......ran second behind a rabbit.....should get a good trip from off the pace....
4. Position A......always like this pro.....looks in form.......should get a perfect trip right behind the speed.
5. Bonboni....shipper that has won 9 races...out of 39.... pass!
This is another contentious race....pace will make this race.... depends on the factions.... I expect Goggle and Maui to battle up front.....Goggle looks to make the lead..... Every horse except Bonboni has a shot to win..... take note before unloading...
1. Goggle McCoy....
2. Maui Mark.....looked good winning
3. Position A.....should get perfect trip
Pace play Quietly Mine .....closer with Rosario
RACE 3
A turf sprint down the hill for a claiming price of 50 G´s. The pace looks to have Siempre Mio Golden Bounty pressing the early factions with Metropolitan Man right behind the speed. Ron Ellis had Seeking Solace tuned up coming back since spring....He fly down the hill........... might have found the right distance with the right course.....seeks two straight. Kathy Walsh sends out Golden Bounty who has high speed numbers for a three year old. He is bred for the turf.
Walsh is 25 % when her stable is 90 days away. Bluegrass Reward 2012 starts has been horrible.....Mitchelle ran him over his head against stronger company.....expect shorter distance and being back with friends will help. Mr. Candy Bar 2012 starts has been not so bad as Bluegrass Reward but he needs class relief.....Corey rides.........been in my opinion the best turf rider on this circuit. I expect shorter distance with class drop makes him a contender in a very wide open turf race.
1. Golden Bounty
2. Metropolitan Man
3. Mr Candy Man
RACE 4
One mile and a sixteenth first level allowance race on the main track. The lineup includes.....
1. Take No Prisoners.......faces winners here....He runs like he will like the added distance....Look .......Baffert has been having a stellar year....
2. Nome......trained by Harrington......interesting that Rosario climbs aboard....I expect he runs better then what appears on paper.
3. Admission.....big speed numbers but three races was not stellar. Trained by Puype.....should be pressing the pace....He has been facing much better company......but what´s the deal with his last three races....favorite....
4. Tingeglo....beat up on low level claimers....Bejarano rides.....like pedigree....I expect he is more talented on what appears on paper.
5. Myhorseofcourse.....Hess and Victor team up on this closer.....comes in fresh.....He is a player from off the pace.
6. All Squared Away......Peter Miller takes off the blinkers as Talamo rides....A drop in class with excellent pedigree makes this horse a player.....looks to be the controlling speed with Tingeglo......
The pace looks to be Take No Prisioners and Admission... with Tingelo......pace dual might develope here....and I say might set up a mid pack closer....which is Nome....
1. Nome
2. Take No P
3. Admission
RACE 5
One mile turf maiden race for the claiming price of 75 G´s. A big field of contenders very few throw- outs. The pace looks to have Tommy´s Kid with Very Unusual.....maybe Langfur Lighting press a contested front end. Our Merv might get in the early mix.....pace makes the race... Rosario looks to be a front runner with Rocket Train.....who drops from a first time tag...Mitchell looks to have a hot hand in this race....Trucial Slate claimed for 50 G´s.....is in jail for Sadler. He add Lasix for the first time..... bred for the turf....
1. Trucial State
2. Our Merv
3. Rocket Train
Longshot Animaux Del Viento
$20 across the board 8 Trucial Slate
Pick three 8 with 2,8 with 4,10
UPDATE $133.50
Start a late pick four
5th. 5,8,10
6th 2,8
7th 4,10
8th 2,3,11 cost $18.00 out!
RACE 6
A six and furlong maiden 30 G sprint for three year old fillies.
A very modest suspect field.....take note.... I picked U R Awesome to hit the board in his debut.....He did not....had a trouble debut on the rail.....gets the rail again but I expect a better performance as Garcia re-rides.....good odds here. On paper Chimi Dee who was well bet in his debut should move forward as the one to beat in this race. He was well clear of the third place horse.....scary second time starter. Victor Garcia is red hot this year. Secret Genuis has a shot despite the trainer Knapp......who cannot find the way to the winners circle. I like his debut.....comes back fresh..... One To Many broke slow in his debut but mowed them down finishing full of run.....Queen Mercury looks to press a fast pace from the outside....Chantel rides!
1. Chimi Dee.....smasher with theses
2. One To Many......do not sell short
3. Secret Genuis...... picked him higher but trainer
Longshot U R Awesome
$20 place and show 2
$20 show 3
RACE 7
One mile state restricted allowance turf race makes up the feature today......Woodman´s Luck trained by Mike Puype comes back after nine months off......if fit this son of Pulpit looks scary turning for home. Kingpin Ryno just got collared at the wire at this distance and surface last race. He looks to be the speed...... and the favorite at post time. Jeff Bonde sends out the maiden winner Teraad..... impressive win..... I usually do not take horses facing winners for the first time......no monsters in this race.....He kicked clear after battling for the lead.....then galloped out strongly.....impressive win! If he can rate just off the speed...Kingpin Ryno....and relax.... he might have a kick turning for home.....good odds.... I expect.......might be ten to one of higher...
1. Teraad
2. Kingpin Ryno
3. Valley Cat
RACE 8
A sprint claimer for non winners of two for fillies and mare on the main track. Coparcenary has speed over Tiabelle...who had a ton of trouble last time out....She should get fast factions to run at.... beware! Clockers like here as well. My bomb is the comebacker Negra Tomasa.......... She has run races that puts her in the mix....do not sell short if she ready to fire. Smokey Lake is the speed .....quicker then Coparcenary......might not stop as Victor rides her.
1. Tiabelle
2. Negra Tomasa
3. Smokey Lake
