THURSDAY SANTA ANITA

ACCLAMATION BY MORANT

RACE 1         MAIDEN 20 G CLAIMER

A tough contentious one mile route for fillies and maiden mares. Flawless Jewel looks to be the controlling speed. Mulhall drops her to the low rent level. Jewel looks to be the filly to beat in this race. Rosario rides as Victor re-rides Argue My Case who puts the blinkers on for the first time. Both Warren´s Hopeful and Plazarita should move forward here on the dirt. The X Factor filly is Swiss Gem who has never run this low a level. She stretches out to two turn.....might just outrun her odds. A suspect field of maidens......

            1. Flawless Jewel
            2. Swiss Gem
            3. Argue My Case

$20 place and show Swiss Gem

RACE 2          MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT

Baffert sends out a talented three year old filly for her comeback race sprinting on the dirt. She shortens up in distance to six furlongs coupled with the fact that she has both tactical speed and speed. Her main rival on paper is Shoo Gee who has solid two year old speed numbers to win this race. She needs to clear from the rail. Both first time starters Lottawampum and Generation Of Love looks like runners to me. Check the tote board for more clues....and watch the pre-race warm up before unloading.

                  1. Pink Lollipops
                  2. Shoo Gee
                  3. Lottawampum

                  Longshot Generation of Love

Pick Four   6 with All with 2 with 1,8,10

RACE 3         SPRINT CLAIMER 20 G´S

Start of the first leg in the pick six is the sprint for two year old fillies..... which include....

1. Warren´s Mad Dawg.... did not like the synthetic track at Del Mar.........then switched to the bullring on the dirt and won

2.  Backwood Belle.....looks to be the short price favorite as Sadler and Rosario team up......looks tough but no mortal lock in the start of the pick six.

3.  Punch Drunk....Doug O´Neil sends out this well bred two year old filly......I expect here to run big on the dirt where is won her maiden race at this track. She drops in class back to the claiming ranks.

4.  Silver Street.....She has both speed to make the lead or sit right off the pace and maker her turn of foot coming home. She warrants major respect therefore.... do not dismiss her for the win.

5.  Joseph Joe.......the pace looks hot and contested..... the scenario is perfect for this mid-pack closer.....Chantel is a plus.... I like this Tiznow filly....who will be overlooked by the public.........She had a trouble trip last time out and needs a better trip to win....but she is a contender here.

6.  Elegant Eve......This Broad Brush filly should love the return to this surface...... no throw out!

7.  I Sense Your Luck....a filly by Street Sense.....that is seeking her proper level........ if she runs back to her racing debut....look out.....lights out!

$20 place and show I Sense Your Luck

RACE 4         TWO YEAR OLD MAIDEN CLAIMER

A shorten sprint five and half furlongs for two year old fillies. Only two fillies have racing experience in this maiden sprint race. Beautiful Strike trained by Peter Miller press a fast pace last time out. She was clear by six lengths of the third place horse....She is the horse to beat if she repeats her last race. Jerry Fanning´s horses usually improve second time out. He gets Talamo to ride Nifty Dream who draws the rail today. One race does not make a career. Hendrick´s sends out the first time starter Tanya´s Tiara........ two back to back gate works might be a concern....but love the fast long morning works....beware because of the win early pedigree and fast long workout.....Martin is a major plus... Janet Armstrong sends out the Songandaprayer filly Whats Up Betty who looks like a runner to me.

                      1. Beautiful Strike
                      2. Tanya´s Tiara
                      3. Whats Up Betty

                      Longshot Nifty Dreams

RACE 5         DOWN-THE-HILL

I picked Ribat when she stepped up in class to break her maiden race last year. She gets a cozy post position for trainer Melody Conlon......a mile was too long for her.....and she likes this down the hill turf course. Melody is having a red hot season this year...... Her main rivals look to be Palio Prince. He likes this course as he is one for one. Warrants respect here! A wide open contentious race as Metropolitan Man, Mint Humor, Stone Hot, and Evening Island have a legitimate shot to win this down the hill turf sprint.

                   1. Ribat
                   2. Palio Prince
                   3. Metropolitan

Late Pick Four    1,8,10 with 2,4,6,7,10 with 2,5,7,10 with 3

RACE 6         LOW-LEVEL ROUTE  CLAIMER

Way Too Much and Sky´squickscore look ready to win this suspect low rent level router. This suspect route race might be the most difficult race on the card.

                  1. Sky´squickscore
                  2. Way Too Much

RACE 7        STATE BRED DOWN-THE-HILL AOC

Both Marty Jones entries look ready to rumble down the hill. Memphis and Don Perico. Don Perico has speed and is coming back after a much needed race. He should relish this distance. Memphis, a 1 for 3 gelding is making his first start in four months in this entry level allowance for statebreds. Husband´s Folly trained by Mike Puype is a flat out closer.....my main concern is the distance...maybe too short of a distance for this dude..if not then watch out.....Iám taking a shot with this dude.
Earnednevergiven and Sammartino both drop from open company to statebred....both are contenders.

              1. Husband´s Folly
              2. Don Perico
              3. Memphis

             Longshot Cranky Jack....don´t dismiss

RACE 8        MAIDEN CLAIMER 20 G´S FILLIES

A sprint for two year old fillies.....the favorite looks to be Bella´s Fantasy who dropped in class last time out with a horrible start then was blocked behind horses on the far turn. She lost a heartbreaker. Walter Solis sends out Mil Estrellas....any improvment will put her in the winner´s circle. Two Feather a first time starter for Troy Talyor looks like a runnner to me. Joca Queen trained by Casear......who is one of the best with younger......watch out

                    1. Bella´s Fantasy
                    2. Joca Queen
                    3. Two Feather
