SATURDAY HOLLYWOOD PARK
RACE 1
Sir Allison will be a short price favorite after finishing second to Liaision who won the Real Quiet Stakes. Bejarano and Baffert team up for Mike Pegram. I like two first time starters in there debut here..... Idontrollonshabbos trained by Peter Miller and Hammer The Bay.......both have the look of horses firing first time out. J Man must clear from the rail but he has finish on the board in all of his starts.
1. Sir Allison
2. Idontrollonshabbos
3. Hammer The Bay
RACE 2
1. Caper´s Edge
2. Macho Dorado
3. Afleet Deal
Pick 4
ALL with 7 with 1 with 1,7 cost $6.00
RACE 3
One mile on the turf for two year old maidens special weight. Batalha is bred for turf. She has the win early pedigree to make her scary in this spot. Moreover she should like the distance. Mending Walls figures to improve off her last start with Fluxx. Fluxx a Bluegrass Cat filly gets Gomez....should warrant respect right back. Beware! Twitch claimed for 50 Gs..... has Bejarano riding this filly as she takes off the blinkers....the well beaten favorite last start.
1. Batalha
2. Fluxx
3. Mending Walls
RACE 4
Carousel claimed for 40 G´s add the blinkers a tries a new surface for O´Neil..... Bejaraano rides.... Blue Grass Music is razor sharp as Sadler drops her in class for the money run. Mitchell goes from turf to cushion track where I expect she might run a big race. This is a tough race...as Valentine´s Wish gets weight off as he is bred for this distance..... stretching out today. He got beat by Tribal Beauty who won last night.
Value Play Valentine´s Wish
RACE 5
A wide open turf sprint with a number of speedy rabbits signed up in this contentious field. Mint Humor with Circle The Moon pressing a fast pace. Husband Folly´s returns after exiting a key maiden race last February.........hot trainer and jockey team hook up. I love how Lakeville won despite a trouble start and trip.
1. Husband Folly´s
2. Lakerville
3. Mint Humor
Longshot play Sun´s Out
Pick Three 1,7 with 4,7,8 with 2,4,5 cost $18.00
RACE 6
Exotic Slew the favorite might be a horse that we can beat here in this Cal bred maiden special weight for two year olds. Neurosurgeon first race he had speed against open company then faded. He ran against Exotic at Santa Anita hung out wide in the post position. He was wide all the way around..... better post with a new surface....with double digit odds.... Mr- Padre exits the same race with the top two contenders..... Iám betting against the first time starters....
1. Neurosurgeon
2. Mr. Padre
3. Exotic Slew
RACE 7
On paper the race looks to unfold like this.....the front runner Coo Cachoo on a uncontested lead giving it up to Bluegrass Reward turning for home.... One of these days Killer Bear will get a pace scenario that flavors him....a speed meltdown turning for home.... The horse for the course is a horse I have bet in the past.... Spud Spivens.....who was third on this track this summer in the Affirmed. The horse that looks to improve turning for home is Arraignment.....has tactical speed who should love this distance. Dave In Dixie has been off but check out the trainer and jockey combo.....might be cranked up for this one....
1. Arraignment
2. Bluegrass Reward
3. Killer Bear
RACE 8
The Kentucky Derby winner trainer Graham Motion sends out Sanagas...... He can run all day long......as this is a tricky distance of a mile and half on the turf. A modest field for a Grade 1 race. Bourbon Bay a marathon specialist will be well bet but has not hit the board on the Hollywood turf. Norvsky has never faced this caliber or moveover this distance. But having said this he is razor sharp right now......making a stand against him today but will add this dude in the exotics...
1. Sanagas
2. Bourbon Bay
3. Falcon Rock
RACE 9
Bob Baffert drops Bella´s Fantasy after a horrible debut going down the hill against special weight company. First time for a tag.....Talamo rerides Candy And Nuts who goes from inside to a better post. She warrants respect in this contentious maiden race. The poster girl of a classic hanger Kvell puts on the blinkers for the first time as Gomez rides her. I pick Spiced Latte in her debut.......she raced wide and finish midpack. I expect she will move forward big time as Pedroza rerides her again. Rush Bay a new face to the circuit.........looks very talented for a sneaky trainer with limited funds and horses....tab him for a win......
1. Rush Bay
2. Bella´s Fantasy
3. Kvell
Longshot play Spiced Latte
