SATURDAY DEL MAR

RACE 1

She ran into a buzzsaw as Silent Saga won two weeks ago. Special Charm broke slowly but finished nicely for trainer Ron McAanlly. The FTS Customer Base has a quick fast workout tab. The clockers like her.... She looks like a runner first time out. Watch the tote!

             1. Special Charm
             2. Customer Base....clockers love her

Pick 5     5,7 with 1,4,5 with 5 with 6,9 with  1,8

RETURNED   $416.80

RACE 2

The speed looks to be the fillies on the outside. For Your Heart and Canyanna will press the pace. Reddy Go Jaylo exits the key race. Talamo rides..... Mitchell drops Bonita Star where she has a chance to do her fly by...she can flat out close. Rachel Jones is coming around.... I expect she will move forward with double digit odds..... she has talent...so beware.

                1. Reddy Go Jaylo
                2. Bonita Star
                3. Rachel Jones

RACE 3

Little Feather Red Racing and Mike Mitchell send out Egg Drop... the clocker give a A minus a good lookin' snow white filly.... She looks very live first time out. Quine exits the race with Silent Saga. She should move forward in her second start. Contested the daughter of Ghostzapper trained by Baffert gets the rail. Her works are fast but normal for Baffert. Chick Flick has a win early pedgiree with solid works.

                  1. Egg Drop....the filly to watch
                  2. Chick Flick....win early pedigree
                  3. Contested....Baffert

RACE 4

                  Value Play  (Spud Spivens)

Red Sharp Humor and Robbie's War the likely favorites at post time.

Spud Spivens has turf pedigree Cee's Tizzy....He can flat handle the distance. He has run with some tough customers before. He has had three weeks off with a new jockey....

The key maiden race which Ultimate ran was very good... He faces a modest field of runners......needs to get some racing luck because of the bad post position. These two horses I like in this race.

                1. Value Play Spud S and Ultimate Eagle
                2. Robbie's War the horse to beat

RACE 5

One mile for maidens:

             1.  Hurry Home Clover
             2.  Cloud Hopper
             3.  Majestic Moment

RACE 6

Kevlar Kid looked great in the San Diego...... pressing a fast pace then Tres Borrachos kicked clear to beat him. He gets the rail with his speed and drop in quality of field makes him the horse to beat. Preamble looks to be his main rival. He has won four straight.

             1. Kevlar Kid
             2. Preamble
             3. El Martillo

RACE 7

If you read my blog you know that I have Oilsblackandgold on my watch list after his maiden win at Fairplex. He has been a disappointment to me. The blinkers go on today! I expect more down the lane with Joe Talamo riding. My other horse on my watch list is Quinton's Destiny who I have been waiting for a route distance for him....well Today he gets it.... He runs like he needs more distance.... great odds with this live longshot. Kettle Corn has been waking up in the morning as the clockers like this guy.......Rosario takes over.

               1. Oilsblackandgold
               2. Quinton's Destiny
               3. Kettle Corn

RACE 8

The Del Mar Debutante with ten fillies going seven panels on the poly-track:

1. Evelyn's Dancer is perfect two for two........ but the bad news is she gets the rail and the fillies she has beaten were not this type of competition.

2. Coup De Coeur gets Rosario to ride this filly who is trained by Jeff Bonde.....great trainer with sprinters... She gets the acid test with these girls after breaking maiden at Santa Rosa.

3. Wild Truffles a maiden that can close fast.....minor award maybe.

4. Self Presevation........let's see a race.....must be talented because she is from Ireland making her first U.S. debut

5. Silent Saga..... I pick her to win at 11 to 1..... today no such luck. She scary and very talented.

6. Wemissfrankie........love the way she won.....but my conern was the day she broke she maiden.... speed horses faded.....she got the perfect setup that day. She has been pointed for this race. A Major player.

7. Emerald Gold....GO GO is high on this filly.... she can flat out close down the stretch..... she has been firing bullets in the morning time.

8. Killer Graces..... she is very talented after winning two stakes then as the favorite in the Sorrento she broke slowly....ran a dull race.

9. Woebegon......big speed figure in her debut at Hollywood Park. Blinkers come off after the trainer Miller told the public that he blew that race.......... brought her back too soon.... She is a major player... a speedy filly that needs to relax near the pace....

10. Dreamcaster bred by Overbrooke Farms and is trained by Bob Baffert....  she will be pressing the pace from the get go!

                 1.  Emerald Gold
                 2.  Silent Saga
                 3.  Coup De C

RACE 9

This non winner of two going one mile on the turf for fillies and mares looks suspect to me....... Jeopardy Lady with Charm The Crowd will get most of the action......Hmmm....!  The outside filly Negra Tomasa has speed and tactical speed in a race that came up light on speed. She gets no break on the bad post and most likely will be double digit odds. She had the pedigree to take to the turf. A Player... Siempre Esperaneza gets blinkers.... The drop in class will only help her.....solid conteneder.

             Value Play

                   1. Kitty Kat'
                   2. Negra Tomasa

RACE 10

A modest field of maidens going seven panels. One of theses days Clocker Moment will find himself near the wire going for a win. Detective P has been scratch more time then carters got pills.... and he ran like that last time out. Rosario stays with him...Hmm! Brother Ernie should like the added distance...Gomez re-rides....Stardust Dancer adds the blinkers and the good news is Pedroza will get him close to the pace. I like the breeding Roark.... a win early pedigree....... look who stills rides Roark........ Joe Talamo....... the drop in class will help this son of Roar in his second career start.

Spread the ticket......

              1. Roark'
              2. Stardust Dancer
              3. Fort Williams
