SUNDAY HOLLYWOOD PARK

                          SUNDAY ANALYSIS

RACE 1

Connagher should press the pace as the speed here. Rummysecret War had to need his last start coming back from a lay-off. I expect better today. River Echo changed barns to Peter Miller. This seven year old needed two months off. He has tactical speed to stalk the pace with Victor guiding him on the rail. Three of the horses in this field ran together in the Get Funky turf race. Exclamation, Connagher and Rummysecret War.... The slight edge goes to Rummysecret War who has the best cushion track record of the group. Patriotic Solider claimed by a cagey trainer last time out looks very live. He has never been this low.... might be too low....

          1. Rummysecret War....good record here
          2. Patriotic Solider..... might be a good claim
          3. Connagher........speed

RACE 2

The pace scenario should be Shane Daniel and Ashen contesting the lead at the quarter pole. Both shorten up in distance to five and half furlongs. Jack Reacher drops in class from restricted maiden special weight to restricted maiden's for 40 G's. He should sit right behind the speed and make a run at the wire at the top of the stretch. Warren's Tiger who ran a respectable debut will close mid-pack. Silencio Gato adds the blinkers after finishing third... not bad for his debut. I expect a late run. As for a first time starter anytime Harris Farms sends out a FTS...need to look at Valley Fox during warm-up. Dean Peterson trains ....look who's riding.... Martin Garcia... He has been training long which I like to see.

              1. Silencio Gato......drops with fast works
              2.  Valley Fog.....connections with No Cal trainer

$20 Place on Valley Fog

RACE 3

On paper the speed looks to be Linda Lou.  Come Catch Her. If left uncheck she will try to steal this race with slow factions. I expect the others will press the pace. Saanaeen has been freshen up after a disappointing last race. She has the figures and class to win this race. Catchy Tune shortens up in distance. She is a better sprinter then router. She warrants respect in a wide open turf sprint. A route to sprint angle with a big huge drop in class makes Madera Castana a live longshot to win this race. She has never won at this distance but she is getting better and more talented then what appears on paper. Win For M'Lou gets the rail. She will be closing with Victor in the irons... Good betting race!

             1. Madera Castana...route to sprint angle
             2. Catchy Tune.....better sprinting
             3. Saanaeen......favorite at post time

$20 Place Madera Castana

RACE 4

It looks like on paper that Kingsville from the outside post and Luv Dragon with A Cat Named Snipe will be the pace setters. I expect A Cat Named Snipe stretching out will be the speed. Kingsville and Luv Dragon will position themselves right behind the Cat. Just Heat and Manofgold will benefit a fast pace. Luv Dragon and horse I picked last time out will be the most likely favorite at post time. Rivergrade Boy needs a clean break from the gate. He drops in class with tactical speed makes him a instant contender.... He almost beat Joe Carl two back...if he runs like he did in that race he can win with a hint of a price at the windows. He has been firing fast bullets in the morning and he needs to transfer that to the afternoon.

              1. Rivergrade Boy...comes back quick
              2. Luv Dragon.....will not find a easy lead here
              3. Kingsville.... interesting longshot with speed

RACE 5

A tough cast of maiden's routing on turf. The speed looks to be on paper Simply Carina with It's Candy Time pressing the pace. Correspondent and Sea Song's Grace will stalk the pace. Dyno on the outside is a blue blood filly......who gets Rosario and a difficult post position. She ran a respectable debut and should move forward for her fly by. She warrants respect. Thisismystage a Golden Gate shipper was well bet in her debut. She had a horrible start then flew at the wire to finish a head short of the winner. She has great turf pedigree. Do not sell her short for a win.

         1. Thisismystage...over-looked by public
         2. Simply Carina...gets back to the girls
         3. Correspondent/ Dyno...leading rider's

RACE 6

A sprint for fillies and mares for the claiming price of 20 G's. Judge Joan defeated 16 G non winners of two at a slightly longer distance. She looks to be the speed from gate to wire with Bejarano re-riding her. A short price choice. Roman Charity will press the pace from the rail. She drops down in class. If Judge Joan melts down then Roman Charity might have a garden trip ride on the rail. Line One drops in class after winning two straight then fading facing better. She should stalk this pace with a above average turn of foot.

           1. Cool Haleigh....fresh...
           2. Roman Charity.....back-class
           3. Judge Joan...favorite

RACE 7

A N1X Optional Claimer routing has Achak seeking his fourth straight victory. The Irish bred is 3 for 5 on the cushion track and with Joel in the saddle he is 3 for 4. He will be a short price. Baffert sends out the high price underachiever Eye On Jacob who has been sprinting and now goes long around two turns. He is out of AP Indy so he is bred to for this distance. Nahem won the Snowchief Stakes so he qualifies as a talented foe to the favorite in this spot. A horse I have followed since he broke his maiden at Fairplex is Oilisblack Gold. He takes off the blinkers for the first time.He is coming back fresh with blazing fast works. Tab him for a upset if he is in preak form.

          1. Achak.. a win machine
          2. Oilsblack Gold...drops and look out
          3. Eye On Jacob....is the one to fear....!!!

RACE 8        Beverly Hills Handicap

1. Malibu Pier....... has speed to be send to the front from the opening bell or wait then kick clear down the lane.... a underachiever..... depends on who shows up today.....

2. First Settler...... she gets the acid test on class but she is well bred.... she should be closing fast down the lane....

3. Timezone..... always liked her....she had to need her last start...  She will outrun her odds I expect.

4. Cozi Rosie....at the mercy of the pace....switches to a new jockey Joel Rosario

5. Restless Soul....adds blinkers for the first time for Neil... and this seven year old might be presssing the pace and more focused.....

           1. Cozi Rosie...should like the added distance
           2. Malibu Pier.....if she shows up ...look out
           3. Timezone/ Restless Soul

RACE 9

Bluegrass Story exits a highly live baby race getting collared at the wire. She should love the added distance. She was well bet in his debut. Bob Baffert sends out two... Tiz The Tide a blue-blood daughter of Tiznow who looks to fire quick out of the blocks. She is a high price filly with lightning fast morning works. Tap It Twice is the other Baffert filly who has been training solid. Kathy Walsh sends out Cha Cha Latte who gets the garden spot on the rail. She looks live first time out.

            1. Bluegrass Story... added distance
            2. Tiz The Tide.... looks like a winner
            3. Cha Cha Latte... Kathy Walsh...good baby trainer
