Saturday At Hollywood Park

                            HOLLYWOOD PARK

THE FACTOR BREAKING HIS MAIDEN BY D. MORANT

Race 1

A Optional Allowance turf sprint with Dance With Gable and Liberal Arts pressing the pace. Dance with Gable cuts back in distance puts the fact that he drops back into state-bred N1X Optional claimers makes him a solid contender for a win. Liberal Arts by Tribal Rule is bred for the turf. He showed early speed before fading in the stretch. The Sadler and Rosario team hook up. He must clear from the rail slowing down the early factions. He warrants respect. Warrens Summergold rn a respectable second at this very condition. He was third clear from the third place horse. He has tactical speed to stalk the front runners. He has a good turn of foot coupled with the fact that he has won on the turf makes him a major player. The X Factor is Jeff Bonde horse Lucky Mr. K who almost beat Bench Points at Del Mar. He is a better sprinter then router. Benchmark has the turf pedigree by Alydar.... do not take him lightly as he has back class to win this race. I like him~~`

      1. Lucky Mr. K...... trying to beat the chalk
      2. Dance With Gable...... drops to collect
      3. Warren's Summergold ..... classy one
      4. Liberal Arts.......has the rail is my concern

Race 2

The bottom level maiden race sprinting short on the cushion track. Melody Conlon has a limited number in her barn what she does is flat out train...... Right On Renee was well bet in her debut after breaking dead last she then put it into another gear fading down the stretch. She finished a respectable third after a horrible start. She only needs to clear the gate to win this race. But having said this it is not a one horse race. Youvegotthatright pressed a fast pace last time out at Santa Anita. She can go to the lead with the favorite. If she like the cushion track do not miss this filly. Jade's Song adds more speed to the mix. She had a somewhat troble trip by a slow start at the gate. She too warrants respect. Coastal Cathy cuts back in distance today. Her second start she beat Youvegotthatright. She can turn the tables on this field and get her diploma. As for any first time starter Suances Star has been firing fast works at Turf Paradise.

       1.  Right On Renee....needs only to repeat with clean start
       2.  Youvegotthatright........has speed
       3. Jade's Song and Coastal Cathy

Race 3

The speed looks to be All Saint. All Saint will try to wire this field at a difficult distance........one mile and one half........... short field and the lone speed horse out on the lead..... your call.... He gets the acid test on class with this field. It can be done~~`so do not dismiss him.... Acclamation gets back to a surface that he does his best runner on the turf. He won two graded stakes races last summer. He can go with All Saint.  I expect he will stalk the rabbit then make his move at the top of the stretch. Haimish Hy is a stone cold closer who might not take to this longer distance. He will close flat out but maybe to late for a win. Falcon Rock a head case looks to have got his act together after so much talent last year. He is the horse that should love this distance. He can flat out win if he is on his A game today. Fun and interesting Jim Murry Stakes race~`

            1. Acclamation.......looks to get back on track
            2. All Saint....... the lone jack-rabbit
            3. Falcon Rock.... getting his act all together now
            4. Haimish Hy....distance is my concern

Race 4

R C Magic Amy walked out of the gate then she pressed the pace after fading down the stretch. She gets the same thing here the rail. A player if she can break cleanly from the rail and clear. Black Sox ran at a much higher maiden level. She was well bet. She disappointed her backers. She adds the blinker and my main conern she Rosario jumps off her. She still a player with P-Val. The drop to the bottom cellar is my concern. The first time starter look to be live in this modest field. More Then Happy has the win early pedigree..... looks like a runner here. Jenny's Turn shows up for Tyler and Spawr.... she too has the look of a runner. I expect a first time starter will win this weak race.

           1. I've Been Flashed
           2. More Then Happy
           3. Jenny's Turn
           4  Dance Little Angel

Race 5

A starter allowance going a mile on the turf fits this bill. Lead Blocker sure looked great smoking a maiden field. He has speed with Patrick controlling the pace on the front end. How many times have we seen this move be a profitable connection. he is bred to relish the sod...no problem with the surface. I picked Sammy's A Runnin' last time out. He just got collared at the wire in the Grey Memo. My concern is.... He has been knocking at this door at this level a number of times and has not broken thru. He most likely is the horse to beat. Uncle Greg gets the leading rider. If he runs back to last summer at Del Mar he will be a strong contender. Forward Committment the old dude has a shot from off hte pace.  He looks like he has finally put it all together. Orback a son of Rock Hard Ten is flat out to love this surface. He broke his maiden at Golden Gate fields routing first time out. A difficult distance to win in any horses debut. At Santa Anita the saddle slip and he fell. Martin Garcia was riding. He still re-rides this live longshot here. At 8 to 1 maybe a good value bet.

           1. Lead Blocker....... should control the pace.
           2. Sammy's A Runnin'....awesome race Grey Memo
           3. Orback........ beware

 Race 6

A maiden state restricted sprint race. This looks like a modest field of runners. I picked Cokecherymary on top her last race. She did not get out of the gate because the starter was in the gate........ declared a no starter. This time maybe the racing god's will give her a little racing luck. The red hot Sutherland re-rides her today. Warren's Creampuff had her own problems in her debut. She lost the irons and was eased from the Alpha. Kiss Stakes race on Gold Rush days. She has been training excellent....... fast works  beware~   On Your Mark was going to run last night. She did not so she takes on this field. She switches distance to a sprint. As for any first time starters Magic School by Unusal Heat looks spotted to be very live for Barry Abrams and Gomez. Check out her last three bullet works........ beware~~`Butterfly Beach is trained by Mike Puype who has been red hot of late. She has a win early pedigree.

                1. Magic School
                2. Cokecherymary
                3. Warren's Creampuff

$20 place on 8

Race 7

A turf maiden that looks wide open. The lineup includes:

2.  Antidote... a son of Tiz Now..has switched barns three times. In the John Sadler stable. First time on the Hollywood turf. Positive sign is his last workout........fast and long. Bejarano rides~

4. Joker Face... He is trained by Peter Eurton..... third start and third jockey change.... His first race was excellent then stretching out he was on the extreme outside post....really had no chance....... draws the garden spot with Blanc up.... Contender for the win.

5. Sterling Reign....a first time starter for a new trainer.... great turf pedigree.. let's see one before unloading

6. Purely Awesome.....ran into the talented Wilburn and finished a respectable second. He stretches out in distance and gets on the turf for the first time. He is bred top to bottom to relish the sod. Beware cause he warrants respect for the maiden diploma.

7. Great Rising Star.....had the outside post at Oak Tree in October..... He fly at the wire to get collared with Victor riding.  Victor goess to Purely Awesome and Martin Garcia takes the call.... a X factor ...... a major contender if he is fit after six months off. He is training super.......He has a solid change to upset this field.

8. Lemou......Tab the switch to Rosario... He has run two winning races..... I expect Lemou to be rated and have more turn of foot down the lane with this rider..... but remember I think Rosario rides better on the main track. Warrants respect here.

9. Tiz Gianni.....by Holy Bull out of the mare Jade Hunter.... great pedigree distance and turf top to bottom..... John Shirreffs trains and Mike Smith rides. He was bred at Adena Springs Farms..... look-out for a bomb~

10. Causeithertz.....He just might be the upsetter here after getting beat by Squad. His speed number fits with tactical speed. Bejarano gets off and David Flores rides.

11. Competent..... Check out the turf pedigree.... He is stretching out in distance. He almost fell down at the starting gate his last sprint race. He should love the added distance. Jenine Sahadi trains  as Martin Pedroza rides.... She is hitting at 30% when she makes this move from dirt to turf..

12. Unbridled Kimanchi..... Mike Smith goes to Tiz G. Tyler Baze rides....... a crowd favorite because of the untimely death of his cousin..... Michael Baze.....

13. Smug.............was in the same dirt debut as Purely Awesome... Hall Of Famer trainer....Drydale is hitting at 30% when he puts on the blinkers for the first time..... beware~`

        1. Purely Awesome....ran into buzz saw
        2. Tiz Gianna......lookout
        3. Lemou.....Tab the jockey switch
        4.  Smug.....blinkers might do the trick

Race 8

Two horse that have been off look very scary to me. Eye On Jacob is trained by Bob Baffert. He has been firing bullets in the morning time. Zayat Stable owns this blue blood. If any trainer can get them ready to rock and roll it's Baffert. Price is another comebacker for Howard Zucker... He broke his maiden at this track first time out. He looked awesome and was much the best. He then step up and won a starter allowance at Santa Anita. His third race had a valid excuse as he was trying the turf for the first time. He gets back to what he does best sprinting on the cushion track. His only drawback is that he gets the rail. No help for a comebacker.

Legal Separation ran into Amazombie and Quick Enough in the Tiz Now Stakes here at Hollywood. He finished 5th. Ed Moger trains as he drops this horse in class. Rosario takes the call. He seems to be struck at this level.

The upsetter is Get My Fix would has the perfect stalking style if Eye On Jacob and Price need a race. He needs to run back like he did last year.... might be on a downswing maybe....

    1. Eye On Jacob
    2. Price
    3. Get My Fix

Race 9

One of these day Sipnzin will not stop at double digit odds. There is speed in this race as Dubai Macau Girl has juice and is returning to the cushion track which she likes having won her maiden race here. Havens Lake should stalk the pace. Her last race if you can excuse her for a horrible run, then she fits in the mix from off the pace.  The X factor is Flashy Traveler who faced much better company in her last start. She gets a change in jockeys plus she adds the blinkers...She is wheeled back in six days on the road this the name of this tune.

        1. Dubai Macau Girl
        2. Sipnzin....
        3. Flashy Traveler
