Gulfstream Park Wednesday
GULFSTREAM PARK
Race 1
The speed looks to be Stellar Vision who is coming off a year lay-off. She looks realistically placed. A giant question mark is one of soundness and fitness. This field looks suspect to me. Dixie Ocean needed a short vacation after running route races showing speed. I expect her to run a big performance with a hint of a price on the tote board. Goodeveningofficer looks like the one to fear at this low-level of plodders. She can step up in class to face winners for the first time. She should sit right behind the speed Stellar Vision with Dixie Ocean reeling in the rabbit. Stellar Vision might need a race after the year long lay-off. That's what I envision...... but as I said "The field looks suspect."
1. Goodeveningofficer 2. Dixie Ocean 3. Stellar Vision
Race 2
The speed looks like Trixie Minor who needs a clean start. She had to need her last race. I expect a big look at double digit odds. Juanita returns to the main track after running in a stake race at Tampa in December. She probadly needed her last race. Blondecat exits a key race in which two horses came out of that race and won. Livingtheblues smoke a similar field on a muddy track.
1. Trixie Minor 2. Juanita 3. Livingtheblues
Race 3
Royal Currier is the speed and drops in class after facing horses in the Hutcheson Stakes.......Royal Currier should take care of this field.
1. Royal Currier 2. Passthepasta 3. Regal Strike
Race 4
Rodan looks like the one to beat in a modest field of low level maiden claimers. Rock Hard Nicky has a history of breaking bad and there is no evidence that he has over-come this habit. I can see him wiring this field or being a all-so ran too! The up-side is that he broke slowly his last race then rushed up facing much better company then this race. A contender! J.J. Cali is realistically place was well bet in his debut coupled with the fact that Prado re-rides this son of Mr. Prospector. A player as well as a contender!
1. J.J. Cali 2. Rock Hard Nicky 3. Rodan

Race 5
McNamara claimed for $10K is in form which is rare with this group. Matt's A Giant a old dude if he does not regress looms large at this distance. He needed a extra half furlong his last race. Tab to run a big race if he draws in. The speed might just be Family Holiday who does the quarter in 21.1. If he draws in Come Catch this guy. New Believer trained by a cagey trainer Westley Ward exits a high level claiming race at Del Mar. He will be well backed by the public. He has not won on turf and this distance looks short for him. But having said that He is a player if the speed melts down. My bomb in this race is Fishman's Wharf switches from route to a short sprint after showing pure speed in routes races
1.Fishman's Wharf 2. McNamara 3. Matt's A Giant
$20 Across the board on Fishman's Wharf
Pick Five

7th 1,4,10
8th 11,5,3

Race 6
Wolf Moon takes a hike up in class to face a modest field of $25K maidens. He broke slow press the pace and faded. I expect he is better then what the running lines indicate. Casci had a troubled trip his last race at a lower level maiden race. He was claimed after showing mid-pack stalking ability. Nick Zito has given up on Above The Drama. He probadly is better spotted to run his race at this level. Zito drops this high price son of Storm Cat and switches surface and distance. Beware with this group. Pacmanstephen exits a hghly regard maiden special weight race. It might be hard to judge him because he ran around the track displaying little. He is stringing together solid morning drills. He is a major player! As for first time starters Quick Kid the son of ghostzapper looks like a runner and live with this field. I expect the horse to beat is Gone Dixie Gone who goes from the inside rail to the cosy outside after having a somewhat troubled comeback race.
In playing the Rainbow Pick Six..... This race is a spread.... we will include a number of horses....... a very wide open affair!
1. Gone Dixie Gone
2 . Casci
3. Pacmanstephen
4. Quick Kid/ Wolf Moon

8th 11,5,3
9th 7

Race 7
Magoo by Bring The Heat a first time starter is bred for turf and bred for speed. Check out the workout tab which is fast for Westley Ward. He looks live to me! Gothics Peak takes off the blinkers after blazing a ultra fast pace then faded getting third to Strictly Society who finish second. Tab the jockey switch. Strictly Society is starting to look like a maiden veteran. It's now or ........
1. Magoo 2. Gothics Peak 3. Strictly Society
Pick Three
7th 1,4,10
8th 11,5,3
9th 7
Race 8
A tough allowance turf route race for three year old fillies. Atlantic Voyage is stretching out and getting back to a better surface where he won first time out for Clemente. She has not run for 5 months but looks spotted for a smasher. Her two year old speed number is high for a maiden special weight race. I expect she looms the one to beat. Dagney Darling looked great in her debut winning first time out. She has train solid for her class hike. I like another filly that will be over looked by the public... Mending Heart who drops from a stake race where she was in to deep of water. The temperature in this race will be more to her running style. She switches surfaces and I expect she can stalk right behind the speed. She's better then she looks on past performance. Smart Sting is a contender after posted a big speed figure in her first debut. She gets Solis!
1. Atlantic Voyage 2. Dagney Darling 3.Smart Sting
Race 9
Dreaming Of Rose hooks up with the deadly trainer and jockey combo. Hard to overlook there winning percentage. The pace scenario looks to have speed on the front end. Dylexi, Zaniah, Catch That Kitten look to battle in out on the front end. If this is the pace scenario then I like a mid-pack closer. It looks to me that four fillies that fit this bill. Southern Maggie who had a difficult post position. She goes from the outside to the ground saving rail. Love This Kitten should be right off of the speed. She is a major contender and well as a player in this spot. Her running style she needs some racing luck to get clear of the horses faltering down the lane. Sweetprincesscharm has never run this low. She just might be placed to low and of course will be over-looked by the public which I like.
1. Sweetprincesscharm
2. Dreaming Of Rose
3. Love This Kitten Longshot Southern Maggie
