ZENYATTA APPRECIATION DAY

ZENYATTA BY D. MORANT

Thanks Zenyatta for a lifetime of amazing performances on and off the track. We love you!

Race 1        Six Furlongs Maiden 25K

The pace scenario looks to put Meadow Lake Queen on the lead. "Come Catch Me If You Can." Martin Pedroza will try to wire this suspect field on bottom feeders. My main concern is the lost of another jockey on her. I see no valid excuse why Nikki's Curfew took a step backward and finished 7th her last start. That's horseracing! Nikki's Curfew October 3rd race makes her a top contender. Tab the nice workout and switch in jockeys on Truckee Thrust! Mike Smith takes the mount with major upgrade in jocey's. Sally's Blade might have found a field she can beat on the rail. Her biggest asset is her speed. She can win this!  Ata Honour makes her 21st start..........she can win at double digit odds. A wide open affair starts Sunday's card.

Race 2        Five Furlongs Turf Maiden Special

Candid Ride had a troubled trip her last race. A valid reason to excuse her last run. She will be closing fast in this short sprint race on turf. No Afillyation hooked up with stakes winner Turbulent Descent her last race. She was claimed for 62K dollars. She switches to turf and is bred for the grass. I expect with her speed is will move forward which makes her a major player. As for first time starters I like two fillies here. Lula Talullah trained by Mark Glatt gets Bejarano to take the call. She sports some decent morning drills. I love the breeding of Whispers Of War by Danzig....... do not sell her short ........or take her lightly......... she can win!  Free Range looks like the only filly that has tried the turf. Her debut was solid. She is a contender! Like I said....... a wide open turf maiden race.

   1. Candid Ride  2. No Afillyation  3. Whispers Of War

Race 3        Six Furlongs Maiden Special

Grip Hands makes his debut with a December 1st bullet. A major contender for a first time starter.  He is a pure blue-blood with a excellent pedigree. JR takes the call!  Bob Baffert has two colts in this race. Free Pourin was hammered down at Fairplex. He has been firing some fast workouts over this track. With a race under his belt he is a major player! Do not dismiss! Tokubetsu the son of Congaree who happens to be one of the county's money winner sire debuts for Baffert! A contender!  Stock Option by Indian Charlie trained by Gary Mandella is the upsetter ......... great pedigree with fast long workouts which I like to see in a first time starter.

   1. Grip Hands  2. Tokubetsu 3. Stock Option

Race 4        Six Furlongs Claimer 8K

Bad Boy has won three in a row. Not to Shabby! Peter Miller claimed Bad Boy on Nov. 7th. Miller is good off the claim hitting at 30% with his small stable. It's hard not to climb aboard on this train. Cajun Gent beat Bad Boy at Fairplex. He takes a drop in class and looks like the main rival of the top pick. The upsetter is Warring Heart who seems to be on the upswing and look who's taking the call....... JR.  If Bad Boy fails to fire....... Self Insured just might be in the garden seat at the top of the lane........ A good race at this low level.

    1. Bad Boy  2.Cajun Gent 3. Warring Heart

     Longshot look  Self Insured

Race 5        Six Furlongs Turf Claimer 62K

A contentious wide open affair on turf for the public. Averoo looks great in his U.S.debut getting second to Blue Chagall. He had a somewhat trouble trip when he was hit coming out of the gate on Nov. 5th. That was his first start in three months and I expect a slight improvement will put him over the top. He looks scary! The horse that will be the favorite is El Scorpio....... He main asset is his speed. He has the racing style of sittting right off the pace if need be. He has won 4 of his last 7 races. So Beware! Amazombie wins his share of races....... 4 of his last 6 including two fine looking races over this race track. He had a valid excuse last month when he ran into a buzz saw with the name of Caracortado....... a stakes winner! The longshot I think might be Quietly Mine....... and good race to start a pick three and include the horses that I mention above.

Race 6        Five Half Furlongs Claimer 12K

Cynical Wager has gas which makes him dangerous on the lead. He is facing winners for the first time and he might not stop! I like this one for a solid performance tody. Dalton Gang is a must include in our pick three. I love the morning line on Dalton Gang at 12 to 1. I re-wrote and updated the scratch... and Ribald from the rail if fit and sound has back class to fit with this group!

    1.  Cynical Wager  2. Ribald  3. Dalton Gang

Race 7        One Mile Sixteenth Turf Claimer 25K

Spanish Bunny stretches out for Barry Abrams and gets the services of Joel Rosario. A contender! The scary horse that might just be the favorite is Party With Brando.  He seems to be the classic hanger down the lane. Torrey Cliffs looks ready to throw a good performance on the turf. Tiz Smoke Tiz Fire will be in the mix on the drop in class. A bad post position and needs to be sent out of the gate to save ground on the first turn. I like the Broad Bush mare who is taking a big hike up in class for Hess Jr. I love the jockey who rides the turf with class.......Alonso Quinonez......... Twodollarstowin.  I will include this one in my pick three!

Race 8        Bayakoa H.

     1.  Washington Bridge 2. Lady Railrider 3.Zardana

     Longshot look   Sweet August Moon

Race 9        Five Furlongs Turf Maiden Special

     1. Toscanova   2. Rachel Jones  3. Cocktails At Seven/Alokee
