ANALYSIS'
I bet Parasail last time when she walked out of the gate sped to the lead going very wide then finished third........The race was better then what appears in the DRF.............I expect with a good outside post and Baze who re-rides should be in the mix in this race.......Gus has put some ultra fast works in the morning for Parasail.
The FTS Empress Rules looks scary to me.......She has been training lights out.......and her Dad......Tribal Rule is bred to be fast out of the gates.......win early pedigree and Gary rides her which tells me he has a keeper for trainer Gary Mandell.
California Curl cut back in distance and back with state-bred friends.............is fresh and might get overlooked at the windows.........Look who rides for the Curl.........Smith!
Don't Tell Judy exits the race with Parasail........she finished fourth........Her siblings are stake winners so do not dismiss so quickly as she had a ton of trouble in her debut.
1. California Curl (show)
2. Parasail (won)
3. Empress Rules
RACE 2 20 G CLAIMING SPRINT
ANALYSIS' ALL EIGHT ARE CONTENDERS
All eight entries can pose at the winners circle.........each horse has a look...........tough 20 G claiming sprint for the bettors...........Jack Carava has two horses in this field.............Apollo Ten who pressed the pace then faded to fourth...........and Tosheen who takes a huge drop in class........which I usually do not like to see but Tosheen is 2 for 4 on the dirt.......gets off the turf and likes this surface.......not a turf horse............Long shot play is Luca who will be dismissed by the public........finished 4th in a 12 G Starter then won in a mixed breed allowance dash at Los Al.......gets a good outside post.......
1. Apollo Ten (won)
2. Luca
3. Tosheen
RACE 3 MILE TURF 2 YR. OLD FILLIES
MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT
Both Sutton's Smile and Shakti look to be the one to beat........I like Shakti because of the turf pedigree on the mom side.......should love the turf.........
1. Shakti
2. Sutton's Smile (won)
RACE 4 DASH FIVE HALF FURLONGS
CHEAP CLAIMER
I bet Soul Crusher..........first off the claim by a barn that hits 50% of the time............good odds here comes in fresh after win at Los Al in July.............
City Zip gelding trained by Art Sherman drops The Cleaner to the bottom and goes second off the claim................loves this track........record is four wins and two seconds..........
May B smoked non winners of two........right back......looks scary if he repeats his last win..........
1. Soul Crusher
2. The Cleaner
3. May B (won)
RACE 5 SPRINT NON WINNERS OF TWO
12 G CLAIMER
Bomb away would be Preordained.........might want to include on your Pick Three Pick Five tickets.......
1. Smokeshow City
2. Preordained (show) 38 to 1
3. Swiss Cheese (won)
RACE 6 TURF MILE OPTIONAL CLAIMER
Start of the late 500 G Guaranteed Late Pick 4....with a 40 G optional claiming NIX miler on the turf.........
ANALYSIS'
I have Eckersley on my watch list........training strong at San Luis Rey.........Hansen is excellent and under-rated as a trainer on this circuit.......He can get them to fire............
1. Eckersley OUT
2. Rockin Robin
3. The Gomper
Long Shot Grachus The Hunter
PICK 4 6 WITH 13,9,4 WITH 2,3,7,9 WITH 4
RACE 7 SPRINT OPTIONAL CLAIMER
I like two horses........favorites look like pretenders...........Chief Lion has back class and comes in fresh.......if fit he would smoked this field.........
Papa Turf has speed and might be the quickest of this field..........He can stalk or press the pace.......love the morning line..........so let's select Chief Lion over Papa Turf.......throw in Bafferts under-achiever......
1. Chief Lion (show)
2. Papa Turf (won)
3. Caminetto
PICK THREE 13,9,4 WITH 2,3,7,9 WITH 4,7
COST $24.00
RACE 8 ONE MILE TURF AUTUMN MISS STAKES
1. Singing Kitten
2. Dreamologist
3. Paulina's Love
Long shot Hundi
RACE 9 DASH MAIDEN 30 G SPRINT
Iggy and Paul excellent trainer and jockey combo and usually have a live one......A FTS two yr. old filly Hero For Hire.......daughter of Street Cry with a bullet work in September over this track........six furlong bullet works might be ready to fire first time out.........
1. Hero For Hire
2. Mint Julep Taffy
3. Amare
