KATE'S EVENT WILL STAND AT SPECIAL T THOROUGHBREDS

Kate's Event, winner of the 2013 Tiznow Stakes at Hollywood Park, will begin stallion duties in 2015 at Special T Thoroughbreds in Temecula, Calif. 

 

The 7-year-old son of Event of the Year out of Nordidid, by Mane Minister, will stand as the property of owner-breeder William Ziering. His fee has been set at $1,000 live foal.

 

Effective at distances from six furlongs to one mile during five seasons of racing, Kate's Event compiled a 8-2-4 career line from 29 starts while earning $460,162. In addition to capturing the 7 1/2-furlong Tiznow Stakes, he finished third in the Donald Valpredo California Cup Sprint at six furlongs earlier this year at Santa Anita Park.
