RACE 1

A maiden Cal-Bred special weight sprint for fillies and mares starts a good  and wide open nine race card. Have a great time today!


Analysis:

As this is the first day of the summer let the action be begin! A short five and half furlongs to the wire.......On paper, Bonus Spin was away slow in her debut......She was the beaten favorite and now gets the garden spot on the outside.........but remember speed has been the king over this track..........

Spectacular Proof is bred to be quick and fast......She gets the worse draw as she is on the rail.......I expect that Kent will have one choice........send her to the lead......Her fast works tells me that she has speed and talented for David Bernstein........I love the long six furlongs drills he put into her then a series of blow outs.......

I always have love a High Brite fillies.....they get over looked at the betting windows.......Flyin For A Livin........Michael trains them fairly slow but the pedigree seems to me to always out run there odds........do not just dismiss her.......check her out during pre-race warm up........a good value beat in the place or show pools.

RACE 2

A good strong betting race is this starter handicap with a small field of six........

Analysis:

On paper, Spring Up is strictly the one to beat.......but he gets weight added on him  127 pounds......with this small field. He cuts back in distance after running with graded stakes foes......He has both speed and tactical speed.......at 4 to 5 morning line he just might be the real deal.......Corey great turf jockey has won on him two races back. John Sadler seems to do everything right these's days.......this four year old colt......

It looks to me that Candys Sunrise and Koast will be pressing the early pace......Jeff Mullins trains Sunrise.......He melted after pressing fast factions in a 25 G claiming sprint race down the hill......Mullins claimed him and now puts him in this race where he cannot get claimed......a positive move by Jeff.


Tones exits a stake race in Ar.......He just got beat running a strong race......that day no one claimed him for the claiming value of 40 G's.

RACE 3

A weird restricted non winners of three for the claiming price of 16 G's.

Analysis:

Southern Sunrise hikes up one level after winning a strong race.......the morning line at 7 to 5 will offer no value......so I will try to beat this Dehere gelding with the horse on the rail......Regally Soul has speed but the main concern is the dirt......She run fast over the cushion track and Del Mar.......She has been training lights out over at Los Al........but this race is filled with speed......so beware and trend lightly in this race......It looks suspect to me.........But I will try to beat the favorite with Regally Soul..........

RACE 4

A modest and I say modest bunch of 50 G filly maiden's..........going a short five furlongs.

Analysis:

Harrington sends out a first time starter Positivo.......She has been training lights out over at Los Al.....She is bred to have speed the daughter of Marino Marini........Harrington is good with first timer's....not as good as his wife but good.


Solis sends out the first time starter Lucy Lou Gambler........sired by Awesome Gambler.......He is sneaky good with first timer's.......and he works them slow........good odds as she goes off 15 to 1.

RACE 5           SINGLETARY STAKES

A good wide open race for three year old's going a mile on the turf.......a very contentious race.


Analysis:

Home Run Kitten won the La Puente Stakes then came back a beat a highly regarded allowance race over this course and at this distance........I expect this colt will be the one to beat and at low odds.

Reno Brown the son of Big Brown I was impressed with his win up north on the turf........ Mike Smith rides this contender as Art Sherman trains him....He gets the acid test.....but he is a major player. I watched the tape and then re-watched his race with Reno Brown  ...and I'am still impress with Reno Brown.

I was also impressed with Toowindytohaulrox......a son of Harlan's Holiday makes his first try going long......He is bred to run all day long.........D' Amato trains him and has given him time off since January.........I love the works on him and like the fact that he goes off at six to one.

Home School exits the race with Home Run Kitten and was a neck behind him.........do not dismiss him as I'am trying to beat Home Run Kitten.......

Forever Juanito trained by a sneaky excellent trainer Victor Garcia........Victor is excellent with come-backer's as he was second going down the hill after eight months off......He then entered the Desert Code stakes race sprinting and won.......He then exits the Grade 3 Affirmed on the dirt and finished third.....a strong third with full of run.

Sawyer Hill on my watch list as the always thought he was a talented horse.....He ran the San Felipe Grade 2 Stakes...He ran like a horse that was a horse that was short........He took time off and smoked maiden's at Golden Gate.......I like his works couplied with his pedigree makes him scary to me......At eight to one morning line...Kristin and Kent team up on the rail........just check out his work outs...... I hope he will be over-looked at the betting windows and go over to double digit odds. Kristen put him on the turf after running on dirt and weird track at Del Mar. He looks to me that he has found his home on the turf............He is bred top to bottom for the turf.

REMEMBER THIS IS A FIELD WHERE ALL THE HORSES' ARE MAJOR PLAYERS. THE ALL BUTTON JUST MIGHT BE THE BUTTON TO HIT. I'AM TRYING TO BEAT THE FAVORITE WHICH IS HOME RUN KITTEN.
