RACE 1
A starter allowance down the turf for four year old's and up. Jerry Hollendofer and Bejarano hook up with the morning line favorite Yankee Rebel.....He has been getting second the last two races against straight company ...like maiden starter 40 allowance...........I expect a short price..........He is a late closer and has a good turn of foot.
Doug O'Neil sends out Cinco De Mario bred by Candy Ride who can rub on any surface.........the concern is that he is one for 17.........not a win machine we are talking about.
Hello Frankie ran like a horse that was short after two and a half months off........He needed that race. He has finished third down the hill at this condition.
Advisory the son of City Zip is bred for speed and bred for the grass.
The X factor live long-shot is Cuneo........bred top to bottom to love the turf........Michael Pender has a talented gelding........bred by Danzig and Pleasant Tap....He is a fast sprinter not a router........He also has tactical speed to relax then kick it into gear.....excellent turn of foot......I expect seven to one odd's when the gate opens. He faces winners for the first time is my concern.
1. Cuneo
2. Crimson Giant
3. Yankee Rebel.........the horse to beat (won)
RACE 2
A talented field of maiden special weight's for three year old's sprinting on the main track. The top trainer's Baffert, Hollendofer, and Sadler looks to have top three year old's in this race.
I think Pimperne trained by Bob is the speed of the race. They will need to catch him to win this race. Today he is off the rail.......which is a major plus with three year old's.
Little Curlin is a blueblood who's debut was horrible......but still got third after being stopped down the lane......most importantly he should have won this ran....the good part is that there is speed to run at.
1. Pimpernel (won)
3. Little Curlin
3. Shackleford Banks
Long Shot Act
Pick 4 3,4,6 with 6 with 7 with 3,5
Cost $6.00
.
RACE 3
A claiming sprint for 16 G's for four year old's and up. I like Runaway Wildcat.......won with him before....
1. Runaway Wildcat
2. She Digs Me (won)
3. Magic Beam
RACE 4
Nazareth is the horse I like.......three to one will be a steal. One mile and a eighth on the turf is the distance for maiden's. Mike Smith rides for Mike Puype.....bred to go two turns....I like his running style. Star Act ran like a short horse after missing two months. She had a horrible tough trip on the far turn......almost stopped...then finished full of run. Tom puts on Gary his main man......She is bred excellently and a blue-blood. Nashoba's Gold....blue-blood trained gains that sends them out to win!
1. Scene Queen
2. Nashoba's Gold (won)
3. Star Act
Long shot Nazareth
.
RACE 5
The San Antonio....Grade 2.........one mile and a eighth on the main track.........
Game On Dude who is the real deal after winning almost six million dollars is the horse to beat. He will have to rate here because Blueskienrainbow with Bejarano on him will have this one pressing a good pace......out on the lead......I expect Bluesskyrainbow will try to one of the one's on the lead......
PACE WILL MAKE THIS RACE.......!!
1. Game On Dude
2. Bluesskienrainbow
3. Blingo (won)
RACE 6
A cheap race of non winners of two at a low level claiming price.......for fillies and mare four years old and up.
I like Jeff Bonde and Rafeal Bejarano's filly Beautiful Spirit.......
She ran like a horse that ran short needing the race......I expect she will be tighter this time around........looks very tough as she drop for Bonde and Bejarano.......Her work out I like one short blow out...then two five furlong drills
1. Beautiful Spirit (won)
2. Serious
3. Secret Memo
Pick 4 7 with 12,14 with 3,7 with 2
.
RACE 7 THE SAN MARCOS
This is the best betting on the card.....one mile and a fourth on the turf with a big field with many contender's and very few pretender's. I bet Si Sage in his first race at Santa Anita getting third....ran short...is talented........should love the distance...good jockey......huge odds......Let's take this one on top with Vagabond Shoes and Jeranimo.
1. Si Sage
2. Dubai You X Y Z
3. Jeranimo
Long Shot Vagabond Shoes (won)
RACE 8
Chitu trained by Bob I was very impressed how Chitu won....She won easily and she was gearing down before the wire.
1. Chitu
2. Midnight Hawk
3. Candy Boy
RACE 9
I like Desormais........bet this one before.......needed a break to get healthy for Cassidy...........He gets the weight off because of the bug boy.........one mile is good for a horse coming in fresh.....
1. Desormais
2. Swift Eagle
3. Trelawny
