CALIFORNIA CUP TURF CLASSIC AT MILLION DOLLAR WEEK-END

RACE 9      CALIFORNIA CUP TURF CLASSIC

One mile and one eighth on the turf for four year old's and up.......California Bred!  The line-up includes the following:

1.  Summer Hit.....bet Summer Hit before.......might be the class of the race.......his running style is to go to the front early.....the issue is the distance.....He was beat in the Breeder's Cup Classic by Macho Macho Man........that was his first try at this distance.


2. Affrettando........weird he was beaten by Cal Bred's in allowances races.......He is up against the wall....because this race is harder and tougher then those's races.  Huge odds if you want to play!

3. Lucky Primo is the horse that I expect will go early with Summer Hit...but remember he won this race last year......it was a shorter distance and it was on dirt.

4. Empty Headed........He won first and second level allowance races....Gets the acid test on class..........but that was against open company....he is back against Cal Bred's.


5. Huntsville........no win machine......a herd horse that has three wins after running thirty seven times.....He ha not won since two years ago.


7. Jules Journey.......I bet him last time and he lost......He warrants respect because Gary re-rides......won once out of 13 starts...because he has finished second and third...eight times......will he get game and take down this field........mixed feeling here!

8 Tiz Minister......He is a stone close closer and will need a fast pace to run at.......He has a excellent turn of foot when there is fast factions to run at.

9. China Prince............seeking the hat against a modest field of horses.........do not just dismiss....He just might be improving....game and gets the acid test on class.

10. Unusual Meeting.....runs like Silkly Sullivan........hard to judge this one

11. Stoncy Fleece....gets a bad post on the outside.....sharp as He beat Maybe Tuesday.....Sadler reclaimed this guy....beware!

12. Hittheroadrummimg.......shipper from up north.....good pedigree and is talented and game.....not out of the picture.


13. Jonny's Choice........have not won on the Santa Anita turf...He will need luck and clear sailing to win this.

14. Maybe Tuesday.......had a horrible trip in his last start against Tuesday......bad post..........a very live long-shot.
