RACE 1
One mile maiden for fillies and mares starts the first card... Nothing interesting as Miller sends out Golden Nip who routed last time out finishing OK... Miss Bold Topper looks to make the lead.... Plazarita gets back on dift....Key Allegro....the clockers seem to think she might be coming around....she just might be a value bet at the morning line of 12 to 1....but having said this.......They all look like plodders! Whole Enchilada might fire on the outside.... luke warm picks....
1. Golden Nip
2. Miss Bold Topper
3. Plazarita...
RACE 2
First level allowance turf race at one mile. The speed looks to be Smoking G who won a good maiden race sprinting slightly from off the pace...Bred to go one mile as his last race was six and half. He finish like he could go longer. Cloud Hopper will stalk the speed...third off a layoff and second in a turf route... Last race Cat´s Enough Cloud Hopper beat.... good maiden race. He warrants respect. Unusual Heat Wave goes back to one mile. He has tactical speed to make him a player! Good pedigree and good numbers... Our Boy Benjamin comes in fresh.... first race after two months off. He beat Quatar´s Pearl who did not run good this week.... Tiz Point adds the blinkers and gets the rail... do not dismiss as Bejarano re-rides.
For a first level allowance race....well even match race! coin flip here
pace play ... Our Boy Benjamin

RACE 3
A five furlong maiden 20 G race with Skully Gully drops to the bottom after facing much better company. Check out that last work indicates that he means business... The clocker´s give a B plus to Skully Gully and the same grade to Bring It......who is coming back after more then a year lay off.... He gets weight off as Flores rides. Mannak trained by Bill Spawr.... a first time starter.... slow long works as he is known for working his horses slow.....clocker´s like this one also....do not dismiss! Our Last Monte has run races that can flat out win this maiden race... He runs a good race then bounces in his next race. He has the highest speed figures in the field....I expect he might come out running. Henry Moreno sends out a win early pedigree horse Colledimezzo..... check out during pre race warm up for more clues.... looks like a runner to me!
1. Skully Gully
2. Bring It
3. Mannak
Pick Three 1,6,9 with 3 with 7
UPDATE PAID $106.80
RACE 4
Non winners of two for the claiming price of 12 G´s. Rosario has the favorite Personality who drops in class with speed.... Hard to trust anyone.... He looks tough to beat....
1. Personality
2. Uzziah
3. Tiger Trysts
RACE 5
Baffert sends out first time starter Paynter...... a son of Awesome Again.......ultra fast works in tow.... Having said this ...this race has a number of talented colts....
This is what the clocker´s said about Baffert horse....big drill moving up on the talented Brigand in this set of three from the gate finishing with purpose ....galloping out....Much to like ...Bejarano up... Grade B plus..
Baffert´s main man Garcia rides as Bejarano goes to the first time starter Regulus.... by Forty Niner.... a number of 49érs has been winning first time out.....
Whinston owned by my former boss in San Francisco.... Jess Jackson....when I was a law clerk for him in the 80´s.......He comes in fresh.... and check out that six furlong drill on Feb 4th..suggest that he is ready to fire after a good looking second last summer at the spa...
Gophari exits the highly regarded race with American Act and Bodemeister..... Jeff Bonde is excellent with second time starter´s.... expect major improvment.....Check out his last work after his debut.....a ultra fast bullet work at five furlongs....
1. Paynter
2. Gophari
3. Spring Warrior
RACE 6
A maiden special weight sprint for three year old fillies. Like the last race there seems to be a number of well bred fillies. Carla Gaines sends out the first time starter Harbor Song...a daighter of Unbridled Song......check out her last three long works which I like to see.... Rosario the red hot rider takes the call.
Hidinginplainsight exits the race with Princess Arabela... I expect she might give the first time starter all she needs...She comes in fresh with almost two months off....Mike Puype´s main man David Flores rides....
Flashy Dame just got collared at the wire.... Solid high speed figure....if any improvement..... she looks tough as Bejarano re-rides her again....
A blue-blood daughter of Empire Maker starts her debut... My Philly Girl.....love the long seven furlong work for her...do not dismiss as she looks like a runner to me.
1. Harbour Song
2. Hidinginplainsight
3. Flashy Dame
pedigree play My Philly Girl
RACE 7
One mile on the turf.... optional claimer for 25 G´s..... looks like there might be speed as Circle The Moon and Lord Minister will press the pace from the start of the bell. Kingpin Ryno and Memphis stretching out....might press the pace....speed melt-down anyone...Hot Chaco coming out of the clouds to win....maybe!....Lot´s to like about this northern california shipper....first or second in seven straight races....
1. Kingpin Ryno
2. Moscato
3. Memphis
Longhsot Hot Chaco
RACE 8
Santa Maria Stakes Grade 2 distance one mile and a sixteenth on the main track. The line-up includes..
1. Spirit Seeker.....gets Bejarano to ride...a plus.. hard to see this former claimer winning this race...
2. Ellafitz......seeking hat trick...if you close your eyes...She is the only speed up front...remember that this track has been speed friendly all meet. The one to beat!
3. Miss Mittagong.... if this was the turf then I would give her a shot.... Rosario climbs off her.....
4. Lovetheway You Are.......the track has not been kind to closers....but she will be flying late....has a good shot to hit the board. If the race falls apart.... she just might be the one flying late.... do not just dismiss her.
5. Kayce Ace....Bejarano climbs off......second start...gets the acid test...today in class.
6. Great Hot.....always like this filly....she game in all of her races.... she has placed in stake races....a very talented filly... she can upset this field.
7. Vision In Gold.....adds front wraps.... ran a horrible race as the favorite in the Paseana.......looks to rebound here. She´s a big awesome looking mare.... but remember she is the returning champ!
Check out what the clocker´s said about her--- Aircraft carrier of a mare breezed up outside the talented Believe In Hope..looking tons the best with power strides ....clearly is tons better than last.....always liked this miss a whole bunch´´´ A minus...
1. Ellafitz
2. Vision In Gold
3. Great Hot
Longshot Lovetheway youare
Pick three 2,7 with 9,3,5 with 2,3
UPDATE $66.40
RACE 9
One mile on the turf for the claiming price of 32 G´s. I think Martin Garcia will send Big Wags...a one trick pony that will be pressing the pace...with Ron Ellis Temerity.... Ellis and Talamo hookup.... coming off a ten month lay off...Stoneside and Global Stage will stalk .... Global Stage shortens up... Tab the switch to Bejarano...has a troubled trip at a longer distance last time out. Winston Charm had to need last race...expect much better....needs to close the deal down the lane... classic head case....but Rosario re-rides.. The upsetter is Sky Cape...had to need last.... any improvement makes this seven year old tough...bad post ...but live...
1. Sky Cape
2. Global Stage
3. Stoneside
Longshot Big Wags
$20 across the board on Sky Cape
RACE 10

Delta Fix sent out by the respectable team of Pedroza and Brian...clocker´s lke this one....Nice spark going clear from Machowsky trainer...very nice spin...looks live...Grade B
Rock This Way...Rosario takes the call on this one coming back after three months... If he runs like he did at Del Mar he will win this race....question of dirt....but clocker´s like this one as well.
What A Rush exits a key maiden race.... Chantel will have him running from just off the pace. He warrants respect!
Miles Be Gone finished third at this condition...gets the garden seat and weight off...expect better.
The longshot pick is Dan Hendrick´s Oskar Hval.... Bad last race and still Mike Smith still re-rides him...hmm...
1. Delta Fix
