SUNDAY SANTA ANITA PARK
SANTA ANITA PARK
Notes from the Big Cap....... The most impressive winner yesterday was the stablemate of Albergatti........ Wilburn's maiden-winning race. Wilburn owned by a man I worked for as a law clerk in San Francisco......... Jess Jackson....... looked awesome when he drew off in his career debut in the second race yesterday at Santa Anita.
As for the Big Cap! Boo-!!!!
Race 1
A high price claimer for three year olds sprinting on the main track. Bella Palooza has the most wins of this group. She gets back to sprinting where she won at this level two races back. She looks to press the pace with Desperate Measures. If fact Desperate Measures looks to be the speed with Bella Palooza and Brown Is Beige. Bella Palooza just wins baby.........I like the favorite with the two other fillies I have mention above.
1. Bella Palooza 2. Brown Is Beige 3. Desperate Measures
Race 2
A real scramble in this weak maiden sprint. Subtle Greek adds blinkers and drops back in a race where she is well placed to win off the pace. The Great Berandine has shown speed in prior races. She shortens up in distance....... what the heck!.... Tab her at double digit odds..........The Jones and Bejarano team is a deadly combo so I expect this class dropper with two year off might have some run in her.
1. The Great Bernadine 2. Subtle Greek 3.Ballerine Angel
Race 3
A tough short cast of salty characters in this 40K dollars sprint. Hidden Blessing has speed with Silver Stetson Man....... both should be winging out on the lead with Italian Rules........... so Hard Bill can reel in the speed at the wire!
1. Hard Bill 2. Silver Stetson Man 3. Italian Rules
Race 4
A wide open route for maidens...... The Sadler and Rosario team hook up with Quite An Honour........... has been facing much better straight open company. It's hard to know how good this guy is because he has only beaten one horse. He stretches out in distance. He will be overbet! T.K. Fortysix looks to be the speed with Pedroza gunning the horse to the lead. He does shorten up in distance. A player if the dropper are average.
1. T.K. Fortysix 2. Star Navigator 3. Quite An Honour
Race 5
1. Banana Cream Pie 2.Hanakkuh 3.Portland
Race 6
A great turf maiden race and I picked Duda Ten in her last first time on turf race. She looked like a filly who needed more ground. She should love the added distance. Do not take lightly Beautiful Sunday........ I will use these three fillies in my Pick Four.
