Race 1     Six Half Furlongs Maiden Special

Team Baffert and Bejarano hook up with Ranchero who has put together three months of fast works outs preparing him for his debut. Despite having the rail he looks ready to fire first time out. Tap It In broke slow from the gate then ran up from the rail and gave it up down the backstretch. He gets the cozy outside post. I expect any improvement will make this guy a contender. Brace Yourself beat Temp his last comeback race with a Beyer of 90. If the first time starters need a race under there belt I expect this dude to be at the winners circle. Toffan owns and breeds and Paco trains and Corey sticks with the winning connections here! Beware! Secret Oath the other Bob Baffert first timer is by Tiznow who usually need a race to fire there best but he might be the exception with fast impressive works for his debut. A Calfornia bred Baron Von Baron looks like a interesting live longshot and this race will be fun to watch and wager on.

Race 2     Six Furlong Claimer 16K

John Sadler trains Sleep Tight who is dropping from the sky. She has the highest speed number in this field. Joel gets off Ultra Awesome to ride Sleep Tight. The likely favorite I expect but no mortal lock here but looks scary at this level to me. Ashlee is another comebacker who if will take some action at the tote board. Bettyboomboom with a race under her belt is a interesting longshot that might be scary at the wire. This race looks suspect and is wide open to me!

Race 3     One Mile Fourth Turf Optional

This race lacks any pace on the front end except maybe Control Seeker who adds the blinkers for Mike Mitchell who just claimed the horse. I expect Yolden Dan to close coming down the stretch. A major player on the win end!

The horse to fear I expect is Lilly's Perfect but my pick is the longshot horse trained by Ron McAnally and Blanc rides.......Nasiriyah's Song..... has been working solid. I expect she looks better then her past performance indicates. Tommy's Pick is another sleeper here in this age restricted race.
