CLOSING DAY AT OAK TREE
Cal Cup Day I bet the early 50 cent pick four and made a profit of yes $2.50. I bet a Pick Three with Race 2 ending in Race 4 and returned a profit minus the cost of the ticket for $123.80 plus $2.50 equals $126.30. In the Cal Cup Classic race 9 I bet $20 across the board on Soul Candy and returned a profit of $158.00. I played the Late Pick Four and the Late Pick Three which I hit both of them. I then put $20 across the board in the final race on Joy Boy who was game at the wire and got beat by Slammer Time. The 50 cent Pick four returned $625.30 minus the cost of the tickets $45.00 = $580.30 plus$126.30 equals $706.60 plus a profit on Soul Candy of $158.00 equals $864.60. The late Pick Three returned $75.80 minus
$32.00 equals $43.80 plus $864.60 equals $908.40. I bet $20 across the board on Joy Boy who got a game second returned a profit of $60.00........ adding the total for Cal Cup Day of $968.40. Closing Day at Oak Tree is $3,957.90. Good luck today and thanks for visiting my site!
Final Bank is $3,957.90
Race 1 Six Furlongs Maiden 32K
Swiss Hero has finished hitting the board in four out of six races and maybe he has found a group of maidens that he can beat! Do not quit your day job betting him. Double D's Diamond adds blinkers for Mike Mitchell and Joe Talamo sticks with this orientate colt. Any slight improvement will put him in the winner's circle today. Zombyslayermrdarcy has faced better company and takes off the blinkers. He showed speed before fading down the stretch in a highly regarded race for 40k. Beware of this dude today. Tee Martunis is the scary dropper after he broke slow and made a move before fading in a maiden special weight race for Cal-breds. Even the rail horse has a shot for Doug O'Neil What's The Rumpus. He has speed with makes him a contender. Lastly, This race to me is very wide open affair!
$20 Place Swiss Hero ROI $30
Race 2 Five Half Claimers 25K
This race does not get me excited....... so I will pass this race. Wylie N Wyatt was claimed by Jack Carava finishing second at this condition. The pace might have Cruz Blanca contesting a strong pace. He is returning off a eight month lay off. His works suggest that is will come out firing for John Sadler. He looks ready! The scary horse based on speed figures is Majestic Afleet. He has faced much better horses and drops. But the field looks suspect to me. I like the outside gelding Scorsese for Kathy Walsh and David takes the call!
1. Scorsese
-$20
Race 3 Six Furlongs Turf Allowance
I have followed Pink Diamond in her career almost winning last time out and just got beat on the wire by Halloween. She is a closer and can pounce on them at the top of the lane. But most of these turf races have been won with front runners and mid pack closers. This is why Folk Dancer looks live. She should be right behind the rabbits Pat Olcott and Candy's Pleasure. The interesting live long shot is Pat Olcott. I picked on Wednesday that Naughty Mariana should hit the board at double digits odds.......she broke thru the gate and was sratched................ I still like her here! Good betting race for the start of a pick three!
- $45
Race 4 Six Furlongs Claimer 12K
Another race that does not get my heart running! Minister Machine is speed and will take them as far as he can go! Pride Of Wilshire has gas ans drops after a respectable race for 25K and enters this age restricted race for 12K He is spotted for action and looks like the most logical contender in this race. If the speed melts down then look at Cat Calloway the reel in the speed. He is a tough customer at this level. He can win this! Good Brother finishes his races hitting the board..... Please do not take this one lightly or outright dismiss as a winning in this race.
Race 5 Six Furlongs Claimer 16K
All Man is the logical horse who is simply the best on paper! He looms large! Unionize drops from 25K which he won. He loves the track and the cushion surface. Lit'sgoodlookgray win a highly fast race from off the pace for 20k. He now drops and he fits with form and speed numbers.
Race 6 Six Half Maiden Special Weight
Good betting race for the final day at Oak Tree. Aqua Fever was a horse I pick to win at Fairplex. He won and was DQ from the win. Polished Nickel is a new face and has excellent short blow outs in the morning. The horse that looks live as a first time starter is Industry Leader.......... trained by red hot Kristin Mulhall........ check out the long works coupled with the bullet six furlongs drill. He looks like he is ready to rock and roll!
- $13.50
Race 7 One Mile Turf Stake Race
Eight fillies and Mares line up for the Las Palmas Grade 2 one mile turf race. I like Turning Top on top to win.
1. Turning Top 2. Princess Talyor 3. Westwood Pride
-$27
Race 8 Seven Half Allowance
Boychik is the front runner with Cee's Pryme......with mid pack closers in this seven and half allowance race. Boychik won a highly regarded maiden race one month ago. Boychik chased Chapmans Peak around the track...... Chapmans Peak is talented! and so is Boychik. Cee's Pryme is talented also but has missed works in his morning drills. Please take note of this! A interesting horse from Argentina El Pitcon pulled very hard in his debut in the states. The added distance should fit him to a tee..... Beware! Killer Bear has been a favorite of mine.... a stone cold closer!
$20 Daily Doubles 4, 10 with 1,2,5
$20 Place 10 ROI $82.00 losing pick three and pick four tickets totaled $65.00 ....... $82 minus $65 equals $17+$30= $47.00
DD tickets $120 minus $47= Negative $73.00 still live with three tickets.....
Race 9 One Mile Maiden Special Weight Turf
Happy trails to you in the final race of the meet. A wide and I say wide open maiden race on turf! Tweebster might just have found a field that he can beat! He meets a suspect field of older maidens here! matamor figures to improve big time! A Player!
Isle Of Prado is the other horse I like in this field..... so here is my three top picks! Good luck and good bye!
$20 DAILY DOUBLE PAID $824.00........ Great way to end!!!!
