SUNDAY AT OLD DEL MAR

Race 1         One Mile Maiden Special Weight
Indian Gracey has speed and stretches out to 2 turns. She ran a respectable second to Tell A Kelly the winner yesterday in the feature race. Big Tiz should love the added distance . She ran into Avid who ran a semi dull race after such a awesome maiden breaking race. Big Tiz shows speed and looks ready to go long. Star Presence with a somewhat troubled start has a race under her belt and should improve. So She Dances tries the main track after finishing a respectable second in a slow turf race. I like the pedigree and her closing style looms a upsetter if she takes to the poly track.

Race 2         Six Furlongs Claimer 12K
A wide open sprint for three year old fillies. Dos Veinte gets off the rail gets a outside post position and P-Val will gun her to the front. The pace scenario looks like the pace will be fast and contested. Yasuda claimed for 12k has been freshened up for 2 months......is the speed of the speed......she just might get brave on the front end........if the rabbits melt down then  Our Bellini Bikini which has the rail and should save ground might just surprise....... she is in form and might be on the upswing...... She just beat older horses her last race.
             1. Our Bellini Bikini   2. Yasuda

Pick Three   $18-

Race 3         Six Furlongs Maiden Special Weight
Code Buster adds blinkers and is a head case at the gate breaking slow then getting steadied his last race. He will get overbet but a player at the morning line of 4 to 1. Carla Gaines colt. Channel Surf had a somewhat weird trip his first start. He was wide then cut in and flattened out at the wire......with a race under his belt should show major improvement.....A ho hum race........

          1. Prayer For Relief  2. Channel Surf  3.Code Buster
War Pilot looks like a live first time starter!

Race 4         Six Furlongs Maiden 25K
A good betting race fits the bill with the bottom feeders sprinting on the poly track. Avani Force drops out of the maiden special weight. Julio has done this trick many times and won........ with Martin Pedroza in the irons. Goonie Goo Goo is a maiden special weight dropper who was well bet in debut ........ Tyler Blaze before he got hurt rode her. She fits! Warren's Moon has finished second 5 times. She looks fit and in form. Her last race she missed by a head to Cal Bred 40k.......... a easier field here!....... Beware!   No Saint But Sweet has run races in the past that can take theses horses.....Doug O'Neil gets them ready and fit after a year off. She takes off the blinkers and I expect this one to outrun her odds. Teenage Dancer by Carla Gaines with Victor taking the mount is a interesting long shot. The first time starter on the rail Winforlin looms my long shot pick........ modest works for a cagey trainer who gets them ready.......he has put 12 works in this Alydar filly.....the dam has one winner from one starter..... A tough wide open affair!

Pick Three $6-

Race 5         Del Mar Derby One Mile Eighth Turf
Twirling Candy is my pick.. to win.....for this future super star........... who is unbeaten in three career starts. Sadler has put together 2 bullet work outs to prepare TC for this smasher today.

                1. Twirling Candy

Race 6         One Mile Stakes Adoration

              1. Miss Pleasant  .... excellent win at the fair!

              2. Burg Berg

Race 7         Six Furlongs Optional Claimer

         1. Guns On The Table 2. Supreme Summit 3. Position A
          Long shot  War Native

Pick Four   1 and 9  with 3,4,6 with 3 with 12

Race 8         Torrey Pines 3 year old fillies

1. Ellafitz trained by Bob Baffert....... always has a shot with this trainer!

2. Malibu Pier love the way she won then stepped up at flew thru the entry level allowance field. She will become a stakes winning filly but needs her A Plus Game!

3. Hard Way Ten had a troubled trip her last race....... and is making her fourth start....... regress or improve.

4. La Nez  a good looking filly.......... loved her..... Her record at Del Mar is spot on! A Major Contender!

5. Fashion Trend........ facing winners for the first time but..... might want to take her in hitting the board!

6. Switch IS ON!..... second start off the bench. She has beaten Blink Luck so she has faced the best in her division..... like I said the switch is on........ the one to fear!

7. Fortunia....... turf runners going to the poly track.... has the numbers to like her!

8. Washington Bridge...... the trainer is the magic man who makes stars out of regular horses..........

9. Warren's Got Game ......... you will need your best and I think that might not be enough.

10. Warren's Jitterbug is my longshot pick in this race.....

      1. Switch   2. La Nez  3. Warren's Jitterbug

Pick three    6 with    ALL      with  12

Race 9            One Mile Turf  Claimer 32K

Woodland Flood had to need his last race now gets the surface where he runs his best...... Tab him for a smasher at 15 to 1

Race 10           Seven Furlongs Maiden 25K
I like Noble Cavalier and if he breaks cleanly will close on this field.  Royal Import might have found a field where he can beat..... Captain Beau the first time starter is interesting but a very hard distance to win first time out..........

            1. Noble Cavalier  2. Royal Import  3. Captain Beau
