Race 1 Seven Furlong Claimer 12K
Most of the action today will be focusing on the huge 2 day carry over in the pick six. On paper Plantsite will likely be the favorite dropping and two class levels....... I like Litecorr because seven furlongs should be the ideal distance for him to sit right off the pace and has the closing kick to win this low level bottom feeder race. Swiss Arrogant comes back after a much needed vacation and he drops to collect today.
1. Litecorr 2 Plantsite 3. Swiss Arrogant
Race 2 Six Furlong Claimer 40K
1. Position A
Race 3 One Mile Eight Turf Optional Claimer
A salty cast of characters enters this competitive optional turf race. No Kid Edward here today. Jarirzihno has been knocking on the door coupled with the fact that he gets add distance to close down the stretch.......
1. Jairzihno 2. Otto Von Voom 3. Fantastic Pick
Race 4 Six Furlong Maiden Special Weight
Pick Six Ticket.....
4th 4
5th 1
6th 2,6,7
7th 7
8th 1, 4,7
9th 12
Indian Gracey will be a single on most of the tickets in the pick six. She exits a key maiden race with AZ Warrior and last week winner Rigoletta who exits this race. She is the horse to beat. Another ticket we might want to include Tell A Kelly needs to break clean because I watch her race and she finish full of run. If she improves off her first race she can upset this race. She gets more distance to run at. A first time starter that will get some action is Hey Maria who has shown promise in the morning. I love the pedigree of Tiz A Route usually needs a race but as we have seen last week..... they do win first time out at a price coupled with the fact that look who's riding this one.Pacific Coast Girl by Vindication has the look of a filly that might just come out running........ Check out her work tab with a cagey trainer/jockey angle....... to throw out 95% of the pick six tickets.....
1. Indian Gracey 2. Tell A Kelly 3. Hey Maria
Long Shot Pacific Coast Girl
Race 5 Six Furlong Starter Allowance
The pace scenario might look like this with 3 front runners in the race it sets up for a horse coming off the hot contested lead. Starters Allowance races are usually contentious and this one is no different.
1. Honour Family has not figured out if he is a front runners or mid pack closer yet. Things to like.......will be on the lead and I have a hunch he might try to steal this race
2. Justice Reins just beat maidens and now tackles winners for the first time..... The race sets up for a closer and this one is a stone cold closer.
4. Wild Huntsmen....... one for 29 Pass!
5. Chief Little Man........ love the breeding and ships down from No. Cal........ has a look....
6. Galletta Monstro has the edge in experience and a must include in the pick six ticket..... The horse to beat!
7. Marcy's Wood...... with PV taking the call crushed a maiden claimer for 25k at the fair. Alot to like and take note of the breeding and the morning work out.... do not take this one lightly..
8. Hugs to All loves the poly track gets Joel Rosario and looks like a front running rabbit that just might get collared at the wire! I'm not a fan of front runners who win and now face winners for the first time. But this horse looks like live and the connections Harris Farms with Marty Jones and Joel re-rides makes me believe that he might be better then he looks on paper. The morning line is 3 to 1!
Race 6 One Mile Turf Maiden Special Weight
Top Contenders:
1. Royal F J........... I have a hunch and that's all it is that this is his race coupled with the fact that he has a slight edge in experience over this field. This is his distance a mile on the turf and lands a garden gate position to save ground.
2. Delahoosa faced A Z Warrior his last race and ran a highly rated race. He looks to me to be the one to beat if he improves off his last race.
3. Rauschenberg has had a ton of trouble in his last two races and with a clean break and racing luck can in fact win this race.
4. Galayo has a look of a big time blue blood who will love the switch to the turf............ a major contender and a live long shot!
Pick Four 2,6,7 with 3,6,7,8 with 1,4,7 with 12
Race 7 Six Furlong Allowance
1. Leothelion
1. Wasted Tears a new face in the crowd! Welcome to So. Cal. She looks better on turf and she tells everyone " Come Catch Me If You Can." Foot Note: She has never race this far before!
2. Lilly Fa Pootz a true blue .... blue plate special because she gives it her all every race and that's what I love about her. Hard to see her on the win end but........
3. Spring Style did not like the rear end view of Zenyatta...... others look better to me.
4. Gotta have Her........ check out her earnings and in the breeder cup turf sprint she finished second with the colts. She relishes Del Mar turf but has yet to win here. A riders switch today I hope..... because I have not be a fan of Smith lately and I was one of his biggest fans.......... She A Major Player need a perfect trip today!
5. Turning Top has great tactical speed and sit in the garden spot right off the speed. She has been hot in all her five starts since flying over to the states.... Please do not take her lightly because she can run all day long........ and look like she fell into the race at the quarter pole.
6. Princess Haya has a touch of back class but siding with others.
7. Gozzip Girl was the top cat of her 3 year old division in 2009. She has had trouble in her last 2 starts. She lost the rider. She has gone to a new barn........ and I expect she will fire her best today for her fans.
8. Oui Say Oui trained by one of the great trainers John Sadler She looks to me as a horse that might want easier company then these girls......
Race 9 Six Furlong Maiden 25K
1. Nine Rails (coming back to the beach with excellent drills)
