SUNDAY WHERE THE SURF MEETS THE TURF

EASY GOER

Race 1        Six Furlong Maiden 40K
The pace scenario might unfold with The Phenom sent to the lead. Catch me if you can....... scenario.......with a clean break Dancing in the Dark with Trouble Rules might be able to close going the extra furlong of six....... On Paper that is the scenario but add in the unknown of Warren's Heartthrob and this race looks not a easy at first take!

         1. The Phenom 2. Trouble Rules 3.Dancing at Dark

Race 2          Six Half Furlongs Claimer 32K
Precious Duke is the speed with P-Val stealing this race.... Mark Of A Warrior if he improves or just runs a race like he did last time is the one to fear.......this condition is non winners of two since June 8th..... Southern Victory did not relish the turf experience. He was claimed by Doug O'Neil and this trainer/jockey team has won before at great odds... Circle Drive a stone cold closer will be flying late coupled with the facts that this is a level of company that he can handle.........  Surefire is live!

     1. Precious Duke  2. Surefire  3. Southern Victory

Pick three 1,3,5,6,7 with  2,4,5,6 with 8    $20 Ticket

Race 3          Six Furlongs Maiden Special

       1. Pacific Pride  2. Wallstreeter  3. Include Me Out

On papers Pacific Pride ran a super race and was well bet in debut. Remember this is a 2 year old filly race.......... 2 first time starter you need to consider  Include Me Out by Ron Ellis and the baby I like Wallstreeter....... beware of this live one!

Race 4          Six Half Furlongs Claimer 12K

Non winners of two.... period!  A salty cast of off form horses dropping into this wide open affair.......If Koolnquick is sound then Matt Garcia with Melvin Stute might be at the winners circle with a flyer........ a speed horse going six and half is the challenge...... rarely hangs on but.......... that's my pick....

       1. Koolnquick

Race 5            One Mile Sixteenth Turf Maiden Special
Battle School looms large in this field as the horse to beat! Delahoosee needs to relax more in this race and then at the top of the lane fire his best shot........ a major player. A live first time starter and I love the pedigree on Point Mugu....... and distance that is hard to win first time out....... but can win! .......  Big Cozz looks scary as a longshot......with a hall of fame trainer!

 1. Battle School  2. Delahoosee  3. Big Cozz/Point Mugu

Pick three  4,5,7,8 with 2  with 2 and 10 $8

Race 6        Seven Furlongs Claimer  32K
A hard distance to win coming back off a vacation but I like Yes's It A Cat to win........!

         1. Yes It's A Cat    2. Sea Rascal

Race 7          Six Half Furlongs Optional Claimer 25K
Daylight Storm is facing older horses in this long sprint........ He has been claimed in his last two races. He looks like a horse on the upswing and class ladder...... hard to not like this one! If he falters Scoffield Barracks will pick up the pieces............Earnevergiven switches to the poly surface and has tactical speed...... contender... with good oddss............River Echo will be rolling late to get maybe a piece.... Rents Paid won at Santa Rosa and has a good pedigree
but need to see one before I climb on!

       1. Daylight Storm  2.Earnevergiven  3. Scoffield Barracks
       Long shot  U C  Merced 2

Pick Three   2,4,10,11 with 7,8,9 with 2 and 5

Race 8            One Mile Three Eights Turf Del Mar Handicap

1. Falcon Rock...... adds blinkers and get a under rated patient turf rider in Alonso Quinonez....... need to get tough down the stretch. A player and a player with a price.

2. Sporting Art....... looks like a rabbit.... trained by Mitchell who has another horse in this field......

3. Megastar........ no really or should I say not yet.......he has been knocking with five second place and just two wins. His style of closing late adds to his luke warm act. Having said this Megastar is on the upswing .......... look out!  Great value bet!

4. Soul Candy is the now horse! He has a win over this distance and track...... a Player!

5. Buenos Dias.. a head case .... it's hard to know who shows up for race day........ He beat Falcon Rock....... I have a hunch that he will be back in form today but .........

6. Dynamic Range won a 40K claimer looking good....maybe the wise money will jump on this one....... He loves the distance! Beware!

7. Champ Pegasus..........great pedigree and loves the distance! The horse to beat!

8. Worth Repeating........out of Giant Causeway should love the distance and do not take this one lightly........... I like him...

9. Red Eye Express drops out of the San Diego Grade 2  getting fried up on the poly track. He is better on turf...... and looms large because of his speed........ the distance I'm not sure of...... but I will trust the trainer who is a hall of fame type guy.......

10. Usual Suspect............. the pro here and is scary with this bunch!

      1. Champ  Pegasus   2. Red Eye Express  3. Worth Repeating

Race 9          One Mile Sixteenth Maiden 25K
Morganouska looks like the lone rabbit in a race fill no early fast factions....... hard to steal one gate to wire going this distance......... I have not seen it done on the poly track yet this year. He is stretching out to two turns. The pedigree suggest that the distance will not be a problem with the dam of Relaunch. Bred Royal and Casa O will be the horses on paper to win ........... but Levy Man has run races that fits with field. Joy Scott had the impossible post position in her first start with the Man. A professional pro who now knows this horse and gets a cozy inside post today........ and if the speed melts down she just might inherit the lead to the wire......my pick  Levy Man......... not holding my breath.....

       1. Levy Man  2. My Last Tycoon  3. Bred Royal
