| BOLD RULER |
Race 1 Five Half Furlong Maiden Special
1. May Rose Day trained by Bob Baffert is bred to win early. Tab the excellent morning drills. Main man Martin Garcia rides this Rockport Harbor filly for her debut.
2. Royal Ancestry takes off blinkers and is the veteran of the field. The leading Del Mar riding takes the mount.
3.Intentional has the highest speed figure of the group . She should improvement with a race under her belt. She does exits a race that has produced a winner in that race...... Beware!
4.Sarah's Secret might be no secret in this race. Check out her last work out which was a bullet going long!
5. Ready Interest is bred for speed and looks like she might roll first time out.
1. Royal Ancestry 2. Sarah's Secret 3. Ready Interest
Race 2 Six Furlong Claimer 25K
This condition is non winners of two sprinting on the main poly track. Costa Marta has found this condition hard to break out of. She is the speed and will be backed by the public. Naughty Mariana drops out of allowance company and has the perfect stalking style to sit right off the pace and close on the speed if need be. A Major Player! Irridescent Red is the morning line favorite and drops from open 32K claiming company to face this field. Victor Garcia is a cagey trainer who can get them fit and ready off a seven month lay off. Angel Before Us switches from the turf to poly today. Take note that she broke her maiden at Del Mar her first race. I expect her to run big today! Roman Charity is another horse that likes the poly surface. She fits with speed numbers and has the right closing style ........She has run with better company and now drops to find a lack luster group..... She is not a win machine but her past races puts her over this group.
1. Angel Before Us 2. Roman Charity 3. Naughty Mariana
Pick three 2,4,5 with 3,7,8 with 2,4 (Hit) paid $82.60
Race 3 Seven Furlong Maiden 25K
1. Fortunate Appeal 2. Bell Zone 3. Decarchy Fever
Race 4 Rancho Bernardo G3 Six Half Furlong
1. Free Flying Soul looks like the speed and gets the high weight in this G3 sprint for older fillies and mares. Go get her to win this! She shortens up today just is a ideal distance for her. The rail post is hitting at 20% this year at Del Mar. Years gone by the rail was the dead zone but this is not the case on the poly track! Scratch
2. Alpha Kitten has been beaten by Free twice..... but I have a hunch Alpha Kitten is more mature now. She is fresh and like the track and the distance suits her closing style. A Major Player! She just might turn the tables on Free today......
3. Taste's Sis is hard to get a handle on this new face and looks over her head in this race.... I would be surprise if she won with these quality fillies and mares....
4.Sweet August Moon jump up and beat Free Flying in the A Geam race at Hollywood...... she looked awesome that day but can she win again........ needs to put 2 A races back to back........
5. Silver Swallow....... looks like a uphill battle to beat Free Flying and the kitty with the moon........ looking elsewhere.
1. Alphie's Kitten 2.Sweet August Moon 3. Silver Swallow
Pick Three 2,4,5 with 12 with 2,6,7
Race 5 One Mile Turf Optional Claimer
Great value betting race with a salty cast of characters enters this mile turf race. Colgan's Chip ran a respectable race at 100k finishing second....... if Chip can improve and not regress Chip looms large on the win end. I might just make a stand against Chip. Amazombie played bumper cars last race and was taken down. He just looks like a horse on the upswing. The connections might have been upset to say the least and a new jockey switch is in order... P-Val rides! Sky Victor was the favorite in that race with zombie and looms large to turn the tables on this field. If Jiggly draws in he looks like the upsetter in this race....... He is one for one on turf but the question is the distance of one mile. He has won at one mile but needs to have a speed melt down and get to the rail to save ground on the tight turf course...... that's the unknown.... Swift Winds has the right style and is the old pro in this field and please do not take this one lightly! Yankee Station had to need his last race and ran a respectable 2 last time out...... Tab.... on the improve with JR taking the call! Elysium Fields fires fresh and has won off a lay off....... live! in a wide open puzzler!
1. Jiggly 2. Elysium Fields. 3 Swift Winds
Pick Three 1,2,5,12 with 2,6,7 with 4
Race 6 Six Furlong Claimer 20K
My Turf pick which turned out to be disappointing was the horse claimed by Doug O'Neil. I expect a quick turn around today!
1. Seeuat Sticknstein 2. Bold Type 3. Good Brother
Pick Four 2,3,6,7 with 2,4,7 with 5,6,8 with 2
Race 7 Five Half Maiden Special
1. Woodmans Luck 2. Shane Daniel 3.Buno
Race 8 One Mile Turf Solana Beach
NO EARLY SPEED
1. U R All That IAM........ what happened last race? No excuses that I see and Lilly Fa Pootz. Will take money at the windows..... but seems to me better at Hollywood then the poly surface.
3. My Maloof Rocker a tough old mare that fits and knows the win wire!
4. You Lift Me Up ......... I ask myself "self : Why did not JR or Domenican Dandy take this horse?". She won this last year! She has speed and tactical speed if need be...... P-Val takes the call.
5. Ruffled Feathers has the right style to close and looms the upsetter in this field...... Do not take this filly lightly. She has hit the board in 12 out of her 15 starts. The distance is ideal for her and the race sets up for a horse coming off the pace.
6. Bran Jammas a stone cold closer....... much to like but the drawback today is the it seems to me to be a race with little early speed to run at!
8. Ultra Blend today is the day to step up and win....... has hit the board in all her races......... Caveat is the lack or void of early pace that might be a problem for the closers to run at ...........
1. Ruffled Feathers 2 Bram Jammas 3. Ultra Blend
Race 9 Seven Furlong Maiden 25K
No early speed in this seven furlong race except Royal Import. I expect Victor to go gate to wire with his horse..... Tab him for racing his best race today! Royal Import ran into the live horse Valley Cat. Then the Cat stepped up in class and won... No Valley Cat in this race....... Royal will improve sporting a excellent work out for Hess... Victor re-rides...... He gets a ground saving inside post position! Quitely Waiting is a head case at the gate but with a clean break just might bein the mix. Uncle Greg has big speed numbers and was claimed for 40K..... who's who is riding........ If you throw out the 2 turf races My Last Tycoon looks like a 2.am girl at the bar...... she starting to look better to me!
1. Royal Import
