BLIND LUCK WILL BEAT DEVIL WHO?
Race 1 One Mile Maiden Special Weight
A small field of five going two turns for the opening race on Del Mar Oak Day. Tweebster has hit the board in 5 out of 6 races in his short career. Today he needs to relax so he can rate off the pace then close on this field. His last race he just got burned up in a pace dual setting fast factions. His main rival and the horse to beat is Spring Forth. Spring Forth is coming back from a 5 month vacation. Check out his last bullet indicates and he is fit and ready to fire his best race to date! A head case at the gate he needs to break cleanly. The rabbit just might be Sky Fox. Mike Smith will take them as far as he can go without getting past by Spring Forth or Tweebster. If Sky Fox can show run like he runs in the morning time then he is a contender in this field. He just might be overlooked by the public....... Grove Park the blue blood in this race needs a clean break. His last race he stumbled out of the gate taking him out of the race. He has been smoked by Tweebster twice. He needs to put his A game on to beat this bunch.
1 Spring Forth 2. Tweebster 3. Sky Forth
Race 2 Six Furlong Starter Allowance 2 yr. old
A Salty cast of characters in this poly track sprint for just 2 year old at the starter allowance condition. A small field of five with speed signed up. Gibson Home Run....... I'm not a Dodger Fan and I do not like maiden breakers who wired the field without getting headed and then face winners for the first time. I will take a stand against Gibson Home Run. Blingboy set a fast pace in the Graduation Stakes and weaken in the stretch. He drops in class but finds a small field of 2 year old's with speed. Swiss Start wired the field last week and now faces winners for the first time. Runaway Wildcat has the right style of running and can sit off the rabbits and close in deep stretch if need be.
1. Blingboy 2. Runaway Wildcat 3. Gibson Home Run
Race 3 Six Furlong Starter Allowance
Word Association is the horse to beat as the morning line indicates. She is fit and in solid form coupled with the face that she has tactical speed makes her a major contender in this scrambler. Holloween Candy looks to be the speed in a race void of early fast factions. She ran like a horse with a future climbing up the class ladder.Ascot's Highflyer exits a key maiden race over Holloween Candy and I guess Ellis has her fit and ready to run her best race. She is a major player! I like 2 horses to upset these 2 horses that I mention above. Genuine Magic had to need her last race and with a clean break might pose an upset over this field. Warrensmysterydice ran a respectable race coming off a lay off. If she improves off that tightener she looks live for a upset. Take note of the bomb squad is in this race Searfavoritesecret trained by Martinez and the bug boy hook up again......... This team has lit up the tote board at Del Mar!
1. Holloween Candy 2.Genuine Magic 3.Warrensmysterydice
Long Look Searfavoritesecret
Race 4 One Mile Sixteenth Optional Claimer
Diferentkindagreat looks like he will go to the front in this mile optional allowance on the poly track. He adds blinkers today to have him more focus during the run around the backstretch. He is the one to fear! Cigar Man will do his running at the top of the stretch and will be closer this race then his last race. Deal Breaker found the waters of his last race too deep for him and now is back with friends. Like Cigar Man Deal Breaker will do his best running right off the pace. He had to need his last race and I expect today we will see the real deal! The son of Cee Tizzy El Martino please do not take him lightly and can win if he takes to the poly track today. He is my long shot pick.
Race 5 One Mile Turf Maiden Special Weight
Lily's Perfect has faced Harmonious and Go Forth North who won yesterday in a dead heat with my pick Warren's Jitterbug. She faces no such monsters today and at 6 to 1 is making my knees go faint! She coming back in 2 weeks for Richard Mandella and Victor takes the re-ride........ Russian River with a prep under the belt takes on 2 turns and turf today and just might be the speed of this race. I expect a big performance from her today! Solis is back and on a filly that fits........... Charm the Crowd....... she switches to a new barn today and do not take her lightly! Elusive Cookies exits a key race and with a race under the belt will only improve.....at good odds.!
1. Russian River 2. Elusive Cookies 3. Charm The Crowd
Pick Three 3,7,9 with 1,2,3,6 with 2,3,6 Hit payed $97.60
Race 6 Six Furlong Maiden Special Weight
A competitive baby race sprinting on the poly track today..... Looking for a new star! Indian Winter trained by Jerry Hollendorfer gets Rafael Bejarano. He is bred to win early and posts excellent work out tab for his debut. Red Sharp Humor has a trouble trip in his first start and I expect with a race under his belt will prove to be a tough customer down the stretch. Jaycito gets the rail and debuts with a interesting work out tab and he looks live. I love the pedigree of Channel Surf ! He might just turn the tables on the whole field.
1.Indian Winter 2. Red Sharp Humor 3. Channel Surf
Race 7 One Mile Turf Claimer 32K
A suspect group of off form characters face the mile claimer on turf.
Hammurabi claimed for 40K drops to collect the food and rent bill today...... There might be one problem if he goes to the lead. El Cugat a horse that has been freshen up is a new face to this circuit might just be sent to the lead also. His pedigree indicates that he can run all day long....... and if he takes to the turf is a player who can win in this scrambler.
1. El Cugat 2. Hammurabi 3.Incurable Lou
Hit Pick Three payed $97.60
Race 8 Six Half Furlong Optional Claimer
The pace scenario might just look like this! Saint Isbelle is the speed and all signs say " Come Catch Me. " Jet Blue Girl in her last race was my top pick and she ran like she needed the race. If she improves off her last race she is the one to fear in the win column today! A salty cast of runners as Go On babe just won her maiden but can step up and win...... she looked great that day closing off the pace and winning. She fits on speed figures and on form. If the speed meltdown a favorite horse of mine is Downhill Diva. She drops out of the 100K waters and enters a field more to her class. Her last 2 races she faced tough customers...... If she puts on her A game I expect a ground saving rail trip to close on the field..... Samba School is a interesting import trained by Mike Mitchell. She has back class from the money she has earned short career. She looks live she is on the improve but this field is a wide open affair. I would pick Saint Isbelle to win but the added distance of a half furlong might just take it's toll on her.... but she is the one to beat!
1. Jet Blue Girl 2. Go Babe Go 3. Downhill Diva
Pick Three 1,3,4,6,8 with 3,4,5,6 with 4 Cost of Ticket $21
Race 9 Del Mar Oaks G1 One Mile Eight Turf
I love the Del Mar Oaks for three year old fillies going the difficult distance of a mile and a eight on turf.
1. Berg Bahn from Ireland has 3 wins and beat Distinctive in Ireland.
2. Antares World looks tough in the American Oaks at Hollywood. That distance that day was a mile and a quarter and Harmonious closed on her. This race looks to me to be a race with slow factions......Can she turn the tables today....... Yes!
3. Perfect Shirl looks who's back Chantal Sutherland She won the Lake George Grade 2 and shipped in from the north. She is a blue blood and looks to me have a excellent turn of the foot and is a player!
4. Evening Jewel is the queen bee of this race a I expect you need to go thru her to win this race. She is perfect on turf 2 for 2. she has tactical speed which gives her the perfect position at the top of the stretch. She has been trained for this race all year long. The filly to beat!
5. Distinctive a Euro shipper who I always give a second look to....... but cannot dismiss! A classy filly that might be around at the wire!
6. Harmonious is maybe the next superstar.. John Shirreffs is the trainer........ remember Zenyatta...... I love this filly and I have bet her since day one.
7. It Tiz looks better today then her race with Evening Jewel. She did beat Crisp who is a awesome filly...... a contender and live long shot!
8. Weekend Magic has been well ........gets the cool aid acid test today.
9. Crisp ...... Great lookin' fine filly who won the Santa Anita Oaks defeating you know Blind Luck! She can win! Might be better on the cushion track then on turf......
1. Harmonious 2. Evening Jewel 3. Perfect Shirl
Race 10 Six Half Maiden 25K
I'm taking a horse that will love the added distance and looked to me to be full of run and was flying at the wire..... The bomb squad teams up for a final bomb on the card.
1. June's Blue Moon 2. Carrie Rose 3.Long Legged Lovely
