Lets us start the afternoon off with a bomb in this somewhat suspect field............. Seedless looks like the speed and race a respectable race 2 back with Jaws and Paws. The turf experiment is over for now and there is much to like about Seedless at this level. Warren's Swap Fox just won at 16k and she has been claimed 3 straight races. She has tactical speed and just won on the poly track. The bomb coming off a long lay off and exits a key maiden race is Miss Edyta. She is trained by this years long shot trainer Silverio Martinez and the new bug boy takes the call!......

 A competitive and contentious wide open race filled with speed routing at one mile for a claim of 32K. The pace scenario sets it up for a horse coming off the fast pace.... In a luke warm pick I like Star Nicholas...... Roar of Applause most likely will be the favorite trained by Mitchell and the excellent trainer jockey combo of Martin Garcia takes the call. I making a stand against this horse..

The race is filled with speed on the front end. Jaws and Paws looms large..... but I like the rail horse with a ground saving trip and a hint of a price today to have a killer closing kick down the stretch coupled with the fact that she won at Del Mar.

This race starts the carryover of the Pick Six..... Joyful Success is the speed of this race and will tell them "Catch Me If You Can." I see no reason why Titus Aurelius facing winners for the first time can not sit off the pace and crush these off form horses at six furlongs. The upset horse just might be Gold Star by Five Star Day and Carson City.......... light on speed numbers but a honest game horse from up North .........check out the work outs....live horse!

If Silver Stetson Man can improve off his last race this dude might be tough to collar down the stretch...... He had to need his last race and just might turn the tables on Afleet Ruler today......... A Lil Dumaani looms the dark horse!

Malibu Pier was stopped cold and then rallied and won. She looks good and Carla Gaines is the trainer. The horse has long legs take a look at her today. My single in today's card! Sandy Creeks and Ninth Infantry loom large.. my long shot is Holy Flapper.... This is the online race at Del Mar.......... might want to put money on Holy Flapper to place.

Race 8           Six Furlong Maiden Special Weight
First let me said that to me this is a contentious competitive wide open race...... I'm not a big fan of the favorite Just Imagine race but he can win of course.  My top pick is Riveting Reason who the barn won a maiden race with a 95 to 1 long shot and as I have heard this horse is better then the winner. Lagoon Of Diamonds is a live first time starter by the leading sire from down under..... Tak Gamo has great pedigree and Mike Smith takes the call and so give him a look today. Shugs is a blue blood pedigree and looks like a runner as well......... Wide Open!

Race 9           One Mile Sixteenth Turf  Grade 2


1. LeRoy's Dynameaux just has the perfect pedigree for turf. If the pace scenario is quick and fast and he is on the up swing in form.... he can win this race. I loved how he won the Will Rogers turf race at Hollywood...... a major player!


2. Sidney's Candy has big speed figures! Beware! This is the first time for this surface but all indications tell me he will love this new surface. He just might be better on turf. He will be on or near the led with Macias a one gear speed rabbit...... He will be a short price and of course the horse to beat.


3. Marcias was crushed by Twirling Candy on turf in the turf race the Oceanside Stakes. Good luck because I see Sidney's Candy right behind Marcias ready to explode though the lane.


4. Summer Movie looks like he is on the improve and a blue plate special type of horse. He always game and his last race finish with full of run........ A contender and my dark horse today!


5. Kid Edward looked awesome his last race but he gets the cool acid drink today with these types of runners. Breezed like a butterfly!


6. Face And An Ace what happened in the Oceanside because I picked him to hit the board with Twirling Candy.......... I have not seen the turn of foot to scare me with this runner........ a minor award if any.


7. Golden Itiz........PV takes the call.... was going to the Swaps.... got sick but seems right now......... looks awesome the last time I saw him..... This is a turf experiment but is a Major Contender because of the speed battle upfront..... Today Maricas will go with Syndey's Candy.......... and set fast factions......... Golden Itiz might just be the one to fear ............


8. Alphie's Bet looked like he is better on turf then poly or the cushion track and I would not be surprise if he out ran his odds today......... a player! great workout his last work out at Del Mar!
