 Stewards discussing Voodoo Dolls, Curses, with Norberto Arroyo

NORBERTO ARROYO MEETING Jockey Norberto Arroyo Jr. appeared in the Steward’s office regarding a disturbance in the jockey’s room earlier in the week. He was accompanied by his fiancé Elizabeth Del Rio, CHRB Investigator Jim Hamilton and Jockey Rafael Bejarano were also present.

Jockey Arroyo stated that he got upset but not physical with another jockey because a family member of that jockey had been performing ceremonies involving ‘Voodoo Dolls’ with the purpose of performing “curses” on himself and other jockeys. Jockey Arroyo was told to not disrupt activities in the jockey’s room and continue to bring issues that are of concern to the Stewards.
