Grade 1 $500,000 Santa Margarita Stakes Saturday at Santa Anita

The Grade 1 Santa Margarita heads up the stakes action this Saturday at Santa Anita. Taris finished 3rd in the Grade I B.C. Filly & Mare Sprint Oct 31, daylighted Grade III foes going a mile at Aqueduct Nov 27 and then won by five lengths in a Grade II route here Jan 16.  She looks like the one to beat and will take down HF 15a honors.  Tara’s Tango won a Grade II here Feb 13.  It’s surprising to see her get blinkers added after that nice win, but she certainly looks like a contender once again.
