DEL MAR SPOT PLAYS

RACE 1

One mile on the main track is the opening day race at Del Mar open for three year old's and up at the claiming price of 12 G's.

ANALYSIS'

Large field of 12 horses starts the first race......I can hear the starting bell sound and the crowd roar.......!

Have patience with your money........making money at the track is picking your spots and money management...........Patience and betting horses that are over-looked by the public is the key!

Dress Code the nine year old returns to the dirt.......at this level he has been hot at the claim box.........Great to see David riding..........Pace and class as this is a jockey's race to see who goes out front and who stalks the speed. A major player who has more wins then anyone except Candy For Debbie.......in this field........He is getting long in the tooth but still has the desire to beat you!

Candy For Debbie........14 wins.......the son of Candy Ride and is scary at this low claiming level......gets the rail so he should not lose any ground when the race starts......Talamo has options to send or sit back and make his move when the real racing begins turning for home.......A Major player for trainer Doug O'Neil.

Peter Miller who won the trainers title last year enters All Squared Away who needed his prep race in June as he has been off two years......A huge drop in class........beware if his wheels have not come off.......He looks scary at this lowest level in his career........Miller can get them to fire big time after a long lay off.............second race should be better then his prep.......A major player!

American Act has been a under-achiever as I expected he would raise to a higher level in class......He did not but early in his career he ran and gave a good performance with some future upcoming stars........He has been a slight head case and was a herd horse that did not want to pass horses down the lane........watch out he has the talent with a genes to outrun his betting odds......

Olympic Blue trained by a sneaky northern trainer Andy Mathis goes from inside to the outside post........A shipper from back east running at Gulfstream Park and shipped to Golden Gate Park has a touch of back class......and more importantly can stalk the speed then has a above average turn of foot down the lane........Bejarano takes over as Russell Baze rode this dude up north.......He switches back to the dirt and goes first off the claim for Mathis.........do not over-look this one.......a player with good odds!

The Mad Hungarian is a four year old gelding that needed time off.......He has a good turn of foot and can close picking off the speed.........Ricky Agarie has put long drills for his comeback......son of Dixie Union out of mare Stephen Got Even.........He will get over looked at the betting windows........His morning line is 12 to 1..........

I had to land on someone.......Good Luck and be patience......this is the first race of a 40 day run!

              1.   American Act  (PLACE)  $7.40
              2.   Indian Nate
              3.  The Mad Hungarian

              Long shot Olympic  Blue    (WON)

RACE 2

A sprint race for fillies and mares at the claiming price of 16 G's.

ANALYSIS'

Let's take a shot with the speed of the speed with the rail horse Adriatic Sky........She looks to be the speed of the speed......She exits a key race at Golden Gate Fields for trainer Tim McAnna.......the pace looks modest and maybe Mario can get her out to a early lead........relaxing........and never look back..........she has won wire to wire...........she can run a sub 22 second opening quarter mile............

                 1. Adriatic Sky

RACE 3

A tricky distance of seven furlongs maiden 20 G claiming race for three year olds and up.

ANALYSIS'

Ink Well switches back from the turf to the dirt and shortens up in distance.........He looked rank out on the lead at Golden Gate in his last start.........connections then gelded him for the first time..........I'am expecting a more focus performance today.......A major player!

Pippappy debut was good........flying home to get second at this distance which is a tricky distance for first time starters............Tyler re-rides for Sise.......second time around this barn gets them ready........

Vartan exits the same race with Pippappy........tab the jockey switch from Green to Corey.......This dude has speed and can hang around......if the speed meltdowns then watch this one motor home...........beware!

                 1. Ink Well     (WON)
                 2. Pippappy
                 3. Vartan

RACE 4

One mile and a eighth on the turf is this optional claiming allowance condition for three year olds and up!

ANALYSIS'

Texas Ryano.......lightly raced..........good win early pedigree that was flying home late........needs a quick fast pace.......gets Victor in the irons............should like the turf course today. He has a good turn of foot and should be flying when the real racing begins turning for home.

                1.   Texas Ryano
                2.   China Prince

Live Long shot play The Ferryman

RACE 5

Five furlong state restricted maiden special weight for two year old fillies.......

ANALYSIS'

Miles Sister gallop out full of run after showing little speed in her Cal Bred debut......Sise is hot with 2 year olds in there second time out........expect much better today!

Late N Left finished in front of Sister getting second in her debut..........connections are excellent at Del Mar...........major player!

A first time starter trained by Miller looks scary..........Plane Lucky........dam is Kennedy Road and she has produced 4 stakes winners and 9 winners out of 10 starters........beware!

            1. Miles Sister
            2. Late N Left
            3. Plane Lucky    (SHOW)

RACE 10

One mile and a sixteenth on the turf ends the nightcap with a state restricted allowance affair!

ANALYSIS'

Synnin goes long after being freshen up for two months...........I have him on my watch list.......Doug O'Neil claimed this dude for 50 G's.........then he ran two races down the hill at Santa Anita............He broke his maiden over this turf course.......should love the added distance .......with a under-rated jockey in the irons!

             1. Synnin
             2. Usually Green
             3. Suances Dream
