WEDNESDAY'S FREE PLAY'S

RACE 4

The lowest claiming level at this track 8 G's at the distance of one mile open to fillies and mares and up!

ANALYSIS:

Hard to really trust this group except maybe Silk In Silver who has been hot in the claim box. She has raced 11 times and has been claimed six times.......Kristin Mulhall is the last person to claim her.  She is the only one I feel that I can trust........she is seeking the hat trick......

          1. Silk In Silver

Longshot  Cayanna  (might be a good value bet to place)

RACE 5

A short dash five and half furlongs on the main track open for maiden's for the claiming price of 75 G's.

ANALYSIS:

Partyin trained by Jeff Bonde the entries that have run before looks to be the speed of this field. She had speed in her debut at the beach this summer against maiden special weight fillies.........a high price purse. Her last race she stumbled at Los Al.........rushed to the lead but it was all over having to have a start at the gate with this trouble............first time in for a tag and faces all easier field who have run before. Delgadillo and Bonde were friends up north when Jeff had his stable there......Delgadillo to me is a under-rated jockey so we should get odds higher then usual. I like the workout pattern with long works under her belt. On paper, she looks to be the one to beat. But the race is not run on paper........Doctor Susan I bet her in her debut........She had ton's of trouble .........at Los Al.......she got pinned down by traffic problems.......She never did have a chance to run her race.......She finished across the wire with energy to spare.......The bettor's hammered her down below her morning line..........Let's try to beat Partyin with Doctor Susan.

            1. Doctor Susan
            2. Partyin

RACE 6

A starter allowance on the turf at the distance of one mile for three year olds and up!

ANALYSIS:

Silver Torch tried two turns on the turf from the first time in a big field of 12 and won. The distance and the track is the same as his win in his last start. Ken Desormeaux is coming back after a injury last month. He has been on this horse the last three of his races where is has run solid. The rails are out to 30 feet today and him being on the rail will help his chances as he looks to be the controlling speed.......He has the running style to be a speedy horse or he can sit back a stalk the speed. Moreover, He beat straight maidens compared to the other's in this field.
Anytime Bejarano re-rides a horse you have to take a long look......Roman Success has been trying to break though at this condition too many times......but a major big time jockey rides him so he is a contender! Jackson Sundown run much better on the turf then on any other surfaces.......so we need to view him as a contender! He gets the preferred surface today as Tyler Baze takes over as the trainer a ex-jockey's trainer record is much better then what it appears on the Daily Racing Form.

A. C. sends out Gallant Charm who race a excellent race coming back after a layoff since April. he was flying home finishing s strong second. He ran on dirt that could be viewed as a prep for this race.  He runs better on the turf then on the dirt. The second tier jockey will give us good odds and this to me is the time to make a value bet trying to beat the favorite Silver Touch. Moreover, I love the seven furlong works AC has strung together to have him fit and ready to give us his best performance on the surface that he likes.

Crux trained by Ron Ellis will run on the turf for the first time........He pedigree has a touch of turf pedigree........sired by A. P. Indy out of the mare Straight Man........He can get the distance and should take the turf. Let's try to beat Silver Torch with Gallant Man on top.

            1. Gallant Man
            2. Silver Torch
            3. Crux

            Longshot     Romar Success

RACE 7

The feature race is a optional claimer at the distance of seven furlongs on the main track open up
to three year olds and up!

ANALYSIS:       WIDE OPEN CONTENTIOUS RACE!

This race has few pretenders and after looking at this race a number of times it is hard to land on a single contender..........most of this field has a legitimate chance to win. Pace will make how this race turns out.

Bob Baffert sends out two top contenders...........Hoppertunity who broke his maiden at this track..........fast works which is normal for Baffert and is coming back fresh which makes this dude scary. As you know by reading my analysis I love long six furlongs fast works when a horse is coming back after a long lay off......Baffert has strung together these distances in Hoppertunity. Mike Smith took this horse over other's............Baffert has another entry.

Pimpernel which has a major asset in this race. Pimpernel, on paper is the only horse that has sprint speed.......in other words, you will need to catch him at seven furlongs to win.

(PACE)

Pimpernel and Chief Lion both have sprint speed........they both go one furlong more.......seven furlongs........I expect Pimpernel who have the early jump over Chief Lion.

Kate's Event claimed for 50 G's by Hollendofer shortens up in distance........Moreover, his last prep he drew the unlucky outside post. He was extremely wide the whole race around the track going one mile and a sixteenth. Seven furlongs should be his best distance as he has a killer turn of foot when the true racing begins coming to the wire.

Both Albert's Hope and Sweet Sunshine are major contenders.......this is the reason the this race is so wide open.......Albert's Hope trained by Mike Puype is a three year old gelding that has awesome two year old speed numbers that makes him scary......He is more mature now sired by City Zip is a blue-blood that had a prep race that you can draw a line though........I expect he will run his best effort today. Alonso is the only jockey that has ridden him........He rides him today.

           1. Pimpernel
           2. Kate's Event
           3. Hoppertunity

           Long Shot Albert's Hope

RACE 8

Breeders Cup week ends Wednesday's card open for state restricted maiden special weight company for two year old colts and geldings.

ANALYSIS:

I watched Kluszewski run at Los Al.........He crossed the wire full of run and got a weird ride by the jockey. He got pinned in between horses then swung out very ride then kicked in the after burners finishing full of run across the wire.....A weird ride......Kluszwski is trained by Phil D'Amato a under-rated trainer that has Talamo re-riding him. His speed number climbed high after making his debut over the all weather track and ran over the dirt. He runs better over the dirt and now is making his third start today.

Signature Cat sired by Foresty trained by Eric Guillot a shipper that ran in Saratoga in a straight open company maiden special weight..........this race has easier company. After his debut where he had speed finishing second in a small field...cleared second by three lengths. He ran in a stakes race where the water was too deep for this colt.......He drops in class and shortens back to a sprint. He is back with friends........I like how the trainer has two long works and fast at this track and then a blow out. It looks like he will handle the dirt. He is the one to beat if the FTS (first time starters) need a  race under there belts.

Hot Lightening ran into Wake Up Nick in I'am Smokin' Stake race at the beach. He was hammered by the bettor's in his maiden debut at this track. Good connections sired by Storm Cat out of the mare Two Punch.......above average pedigree at this level.......Trainer is starting to heat up Simon Callaham adds the blinker's on him and moreover, he hires one of the leading Euro riders.........do not just dismiss so quickly.......His running style he will need pace to run at......in other words he will need to step up to bet Signature Cat or Kluszwski.

FTS that looks like a runner to me is the colt on the rail Dontpreachtome. He needs to over come the rail and clear early to catch the speed and have enough energy left turning for home......He just might be this good...........good pedigree sired by Pulpit.......who has been a good California sire. The trainer has been solid as the gate work over this dirt is fast!

                    1. Signature Cat
                    2. Kluszwski
                    3. Hot Lightening

                    Longshot    Dontpreachtome
