The American Handicap Grade 2 one mile on the turf..... On Paper Mr. Commons is one of the best miler´s California has to offer.....Today he is no mortal lock and if you ever going to beat him today just and I say just might be the day. Ten other horses all trying to beat this dude....


1. Compari.......very big heart kicking for home.....He has tactical speed and should save ground on the rail.... when the true racing begins.....He has a big look to beat Mr. Commons.

2. Wilkinson......East Coast turf horse that is in the Jeff Mullins barn... Tab the new face in this race...

3. Calimonco....... mixed signals....hard to back this one when he cannot win a Grade 3 race....I like and resepect the trainer.

4.Great Warrior....... a game horse that gives a good account of himself....still learning the game......when he matures he will be a special one.

5. Tigah.........last race looks like a prep to me...I have him on my watch list..... He warrants respect.......will be overlooked by the public.

6. Soul Candy......runs like Silky Sullivan....way off the pace....He should get a fast pace to do his fly by today...

8. Mobilized......He can run on any surface and can run at any distance.......He earned a scary Beyer Speed Figure last time out..... He can beat Mr. Commons with some racing luck.

9. Liberian Freighter...... looks if he is fit and ready to rock and roll.....I have seen him look awesome at this distance...... He has both speed and tactical speed to wait...chillin....then has a killer turn of foot.....the question is ...... a prep race or the real deal.!!

10. Mr Commons........ bad post and the best horse in this race.....I expect that Smith will try to get to the rail fast without losing all the ground on the first turn....He will need all the racing luck not to get into trouble from this post......needs a fast pace.....to win this...

11. Venomous.......Mr Commons beat this dude.....Coming off a five month layoff...

I like Woodland´s Flood coming back with Joe and Joe.....tab for a upset special here.....He needs to beat the contenders which includes.......the speed.....Peacenik....then both mid pack closers...Adam Suances and Joe Carl.... Adam Suances is sharp and Joe Carl is coming back after five months off.....
