The speed looks to be the three year old sprinter Hadfunlastnight.......He was claimed by Spawr after finishing behind next out winner Tribal Dreams. The horse to beat is Jack O Lyn...... who did not like the wet surface with both Hadfunlastnight and Pop The Cork beat him. Bejarano climbs aboard who has ridden him before. Pop The Cork should like the longer distance.....He is the late threat if the top two picks mis-step. The horse that has faced much better company is The Bien´s Gift......do not take this dude lightly.....Talamo has been hot and has ridden him in all of his six starts. He goes from route to sprint....Look turning for home he might be the scary horse with a good turn of foot when it counts....lot´s to like about this dude.

RACE 2

It is hard to bet against Rock Off and hard to bet him......He lost another hearbreaker to this weeks turf winner Causeintheheitz......He should be the controlling speed.....but my concern is the added distance today. Baffert sends out the English Channel colt Aqua Revelation who improve a ton last start. Take note this race is not so clear cut.....it looks wide open.......Dreamcatcher looks like he will love the added distance. The son of Tapit has excellent pedigree to warrant respect here. He exits a highly regarded debut on the cushion track.... A key maiden race. He should move forward big time here. The scary bred ultra fast works on Bucfiftytwo.......check out the works from trainer Cerin......the son of Scat Daddy should relish the turf.....lot´s to like about this one. Moreover he exits the same race with Gun Boat had a trouble of trouble in his debut......good turf pedigree with ultra good looking works...... A real gamble to pick on top..... All in!

The only horse that has gone this distance is Oilisblackgold who I have seen run all his 16 races.....I saw him break his maiden at Fairplex..... I thought highly of this guy....lost money on him......I was mistaken..... a herd horse that does not like the pass horse´s down the lane...

Baffert sends out Patriot´s Voyage.....the blueblood who looked very good breaking his maiden. He then came back and finish second to yesterday´s third place horse Fiddlers Afleet. Blu Jon has speed as he should be sitting right off the pace....warrants respect.....Called To Serve is talented and looks like he can run all day long......

RACE 4

A cheap suspect class of (plodder´s) claimer´s sprinting on the main track. The pace has no speed types.....no sprinter´s but having said that....Run For Miles with What A Rush might inherit the lead......Mitchell claimed What A Rush and it paid off getting second at this condition. He should be right behind Run For Miles......Chantel looks to have a live on....short odds I expect. Run For Miles might improve or might regress....a player in this weak field. Puype is sneaky good with comebackers like Last Memories.....He broke his maiden after having ton´s of trouble..... do not dismiss him. Magic Beam exits a key maiden race last summer at Del Mar.....Michael Pender claimed him two races back....He is good with second time starter off the claim......In a race where Magic Beam should love the distance.......seven furlongs.....

The upsetter is Miles Long Gone the blueblood by Candy Ride.....He drops big time for Doug O´Neil......He should like this company and this distance....

RACE 5

Tab the switch to Bejarano who takes over on No Silent....He exits three solid races.....all systems look over the top. Corinthian´s Song looks like a horse that needs a longer distance to run at.....Today he gets his chance as he goes around two turns.....He is bred for the distance and the turf. Money Talker is sitting on a big one also.....He needs his A game with No Silent but if he improves......watch out for this one....excellent pedigree.... Yomybato is a player with a record of one second and a third in both turf routes.....might outrun his double digit odds.....Qatar´s Pearl...... I thought highly of him..... He has been a money pit burner.....His first two races in the US was awesome.....then he has become a bust! Maybe Gomez might get him to run.....he needs a strong hand. With the late horse out of this race.....Cassidy sends out Dangerous Duo with Chantel riding......interesting live longshot

The pace looks slow with maybe Father Pabst and Smart Hombre inheriting the early lead. Smart Hombre might be the on to catch turning for home.  Kumite claimed by Mulhall need to get into this race early..... He does have a good turn of foot....... seven furlongs is ideal for this dude. Smith knows Oskar Hval well.....a high priced blueblood that has not run to his pedigree.....good team with a look! Charlie´sboywins does his running at this track.....He takes off the blinker´s..... He gets weight off.....if he runs back to the race with Liberal Arts.... he has a real shot to win....... I can see you laughing...... a suspect field of non winners of two........

I bet Castletown last time out....got beat by Sequoia Warrior who finished second Saturday in a fast allowance race.....He looks like this Orientate colt is ready for a big one....He will need his A game because the first time starter from Spendthrift Farms and trained by Mandella ......Jimmy Creed.....looks live..... excellent works with Rosario riding...Currahee cuts back in distance after showing speed going longer....He should show speed in this race. Time Lord trained by Marty Jones get the leading rider of the meet......French Storm...... I picked in his debut.....One race does not make a career......Harrington and Steinmann Heinz thought highly of him last summer at Del Mar..... In expect with a race under his belt he might just outrun his odds. Iám going to include him in my late rolling pick three and four! Ron Ellis horse Gonna Fly Now gets the rail...... a must use in the exotics......with Currahee .....Gomez riding.....

RACE 8



Welcome back to the Ron Ellis barn.....Rail Trip......but he needs his A Game with both Roman Threat and Camp Victory and of course Sway Away......in this race.  And a live longshot Centralinteligence......A good race and a good betting race. Camp Victory won this race last year via DQ of Amazombie.......

Baffert sends out Roman Threat smoked a ultra fast time in his maiden win......He then entered the Breeder´s Cup sprint was got a good looking second to the horse of the year Amazombie.....Baffert has put together some ultra fast drills .....As I said Camp Victory won this last year.... Mitchell has him cranked up for this race.....The class of the race is Rail Trip......the 2009 Hollywood Gold Cup Winner..... Rail Trip. He drew the short straw getting the rail......It´s ok because he is the rail trip.......

Another fast sprinter is Centralinteligence...... He is quick and taslented and improving He will need to step it up but He can win this....He beat Sahara Sky who came back a beat a highly regarded allowance field......I know.....these horses are better.....but he is talented and do not dismiss.....He gets the acid test on class.

RACE 9

The Gamely Grade One at a distance of one mile and a eighth on the turf for fillies and mares... Belle Royale gets the test on class......She is very talented and has ton´s of future promise for her....Last to first ......She will need a fast pace to run at. Nereid I bet in the American Oaks last summer.....A deadheat with Cambina..... She gets a bad post from the outside. She warrants respect in a real grab bag contentious race.

The pace looks to have Capital Plan and Quiet Oasis on the early front end........Capital Plan looks to inherit the lead or be near the early lead.....

RACE 10

Zenett lost a hearbreaker to Gem In The Rough.......improved with the cushion track I expect.....any repeat with Victor in the irons will push her over the top......

The first time starter bred for pure sprint speed is Then There Was You......Segel owns her and Eddie Truman trains her.....He works them slow...... Eswan rides her from the rail....I expect if she gets a good break he will rush her to the front.....No real monsters in this race.....the dam has seven winners from seven starters.....Carson City is speed....beware!

Swiss Game is a professional maiden that someday will break her maiden...... with this modest weak field she is a major contender.

Heart Of A Maiden ran good at Santa Anita in her debut.....then over the cushion track not so good.... I see no valid excuse why she race a dull one....two races do not make a career....
