FRIDAY HOLLYWOOD AND CHURCHILL

                              HOLLYWOOD PARK

RACE 1

Kentucky Oaks Day starts with a 12 G claimer non winners of two. Three Cuties likes this track....where she ran second at this very condition. She will close as she needs to catch the class dropper Tiz The Route. Joe Herrick trains her at Fallbrook.....she drops first time for a tag. She won her maiden race over this track. Attack The Jack will be pressing the pace with Tiz....She is sharp. Grasp ships in from Golden Gate in sharp form....Huntington Harbour a stone cold closer will pick off speed horses if the speed melts down.

RACE 2

A 10 K sprint for fillies and mares. John Martin ships in Miss Oops..... first off the claim after winning at 8 G`s..... He has shipped in three winners out of five shippers..... good win percentage. It looks like Krigger will send Indy Beauty from the rail. She adds the blinkers for trainer Linda Minus..... come catch her if you can. Mo Cheese won last time out.....can she repeat that preformance is my main concern......Irenes Jackpot drops big time in class. She been off six months....the works looks solid...... beware she can win this race.

            1.  Irenes Jackpot
            2.  Miss Oops

            Longshot Tribal Beauty

Pick Three 4,8 with 9 with 2,6,8

UPDATE PAID $41.80

RACE 3

The lowest level of maidens..... a number od special weight droppers enters this race. Excessively Trick pressed the pace against much better company.....She gets weight off as Eswan rides her...... come catch her! Stupendus is back with friends after a prep race against much better.....She adds the blinkers and will stalk the speed.....hoping the speed will meltdown....She warrants major respect. The first time starter by Five Star Day looks very live....R Doubleday

           1. Gem In The Rough
           2. Stupendus Princess
           3. Excessively Trick

           FTS  looks live R Doubleday

$20 Win and Place 9

RACE 4

A maiden special weight race one mile on the turf...... AC sends out God Of War a import from Brazil.....last race was in November......He looks to be training good...... He finished fifth in a group 1 race..... I like this four year old. Causeithertz trained by Baffert has been off since July. Typical fast works in tow. Rock Off a sprinter should love the added distance as he is bred for at least one mile..... A contender might be the favorite at post time with Causeithertz. Yomybato first start on the turf was resepctable.....Michael Pender and Krigger team up. My Samurai Warrior I picked last time out on the dirt...... good looking second..... gets back on the turf..... do not sell short.

            1. God Of War
            2. Causeithertz
            3. Rocks Off

           Longshot Samurai Warrior

RACE 5

A short dash non winners of two since 2012 at a claiming price of 12 G`s. The pace looks fast and contested on the front end..... Strike when the iron is hot.....Tribal Dreams won on the slop for 16 G`s. The speed looks to have Forest Souvenir with Wise Guise and No Team Spirit press ing pace with Tribal Dreams...Pop The Cork will try to turn the tables on Tribal Dreams with a switch to the cushion track. Jeff Bonde shortens up the speedy Flower Power......He drops him after he has shown speed against better.....Watch out for this one. He has faced The Black and Danger Ranger with Jack O Lyn in his last two starts.......no monsters in this race like that.

               1. Pop The Cork
               2. Tribal Dreams
               3. Flower Power

               Longshot Wise Guise

Pick Four  1,4 with 7 with 1 with All

Cost $10.00

UPDATE  $393.00

RACE 6

A turf sprint filled with speed in the line-up. Gnarly Dude tries the turf for the first time......He should be stalking Solar Rocket with Caught A Flyer who will be winging it out on the front-end.....come catch this one on the rail..... do not totally dismiss the speed rabbit.....The race sets up for a closer like Boat Trip who looked awesome closing on the speed down the hill at Santa Anita Park. Format V I underestimated...... He looked very good coming from off the pace against slightly softer horses....Sammy`s A Runnin trained by Art Sherman might get overlooked in this spot.....He should get a good trip from the outside post..... He fits with the pace and speed figures to win this.

                   1. Boat Trip
                   2. Sammy`s A Runnin
                   3. Gnarly Dude

                   Longshot Sabor Amargo

RACE 7

A sprint allowance NX2....... Reneesgotzip is better at sprinting then routing.....She drops big time in class. On paper she gets weight off with her ultra good morning works makes her the scary one to beat....even on the rail. Bob Baffert sends out Glamorista who has some fast drills for her comeback race....She won her maiden at this track....two wins from three starts makes her a major contender to Reneesgotzip. Spectacular Sky ran into a buzz saw when Izzy Rules won....She will try to kick clear of the top two choices turning for home.

           1. Reneesgotzip
           2. Glamorista
           3. Spectacular Sky

RACE 8

A maiden special weight turf race at one mile. A modest field..... Currahee should clear from the extreme outside post fast before losing any ground on the outside....Langfurs Lightning will press the pace with Currahee.. Money Talker stretches out to two turns.....looks like he will like this distance...player with the pedigree and second race should be alot better. I like the pedigree on English Process....look one race does not make a career. Aqua Revelation is a third time starter out of the Baffert stable..... He will be closing from off the pace.

                   1. Currahee
                   2. Langfurs Lightning
                   3. Money Talker

                   Longshot English Process

                             CHURCHILL DOWNS

RACE 6       La Troienne Stakes  Fillies and Mares
                                          Grade 2

Plum Pretty gets top weight.....the winner of last year`s Kentucky Oaks..... beating my pick St. John River by a neck. Her second start of the year after facing five starters breaking slowly.....I expect that Baffert has her cranked up. The daughter of Medaglia d Òro Plum Pretty looks to go to the lead. Juanita looks to press a fast pace with her....She was beaten by the horse of the year Have De Grace...... Absinthe Minded can sit just right off these two fillies.....waiting ........St. John`s River was last seen at the spa..... the trainer has strung together six solid works for her comeback race.... I like her.....She fresh and the trainer states all systems are a go with her.....She needs a pace meltdown.....if other speed horse press a fast pace with Plum Pretty then both closers St. John`s River and Maristar...... who gets the test on class but will be overlooked by the public.....check out those`s workouts..... She almost beat males in the Washington Park race last summer.

The pace looks to be Plum Pretty with Juanita and Absinminded.......the other`s are looking for a speed dual....and Plum Pretty to run a subpar race.

In other words a short price horse back in three weeks after a solid post layoff race.......and entered as a after-thought......maybe vulnerable....maybe not!

            1. Pretty Plum
            2. St. John`s River
            3.Afleeting Lady

            Longshot Maristar

$20 Place and Show on St. John`s River

PAID $7.00 $3.20  ROI $62.00

Pick three  ALL with 5,7 with 3

PAID $74.80

RACE 7                Eight Belles Stake

Seven Furlongs Grade 3 for three year old fillies. Bob Baffert`s wife has a fast filly in Contested who looked awesome last month at Santa Anita Park.....good pedigree with big speed numbers makes her the one to beat. Bred in Kentucky by Cherry Valley Farms she is a daughter of Ghostzapper. She recorded her first work over this track getting five furlongs .....sixth fastest of 53 at the trip on the day. Good Deeds a four time winner from six starts is fast. She come into this race with a fast work....the second fastest of the day. Small Kitchen the daughter of Corinthian broke her maiden first time out at the Fair Grounds course. She cuts back in distance after routing..... With the seven furlong distance and the race filled with speed....the pace scenario looks to set up for a closer coming off the pace.... Volcat with Julien Leparoux fits this to a tee..... good morning line at 12 to 1... She like this track...... third race after running at the spa.....watch out!

                1. Volcat
                2. Contested
                3. Good Deeds

RACE 8               Edgewood Stakes

One mile and a sixteenth for three year old fillies on the turf. A big field of well bred three year old fillies....Stephanie`s Kitten who won the Grade 2 Breeders`Cup Juvenile filly turf race at Churchill last November looks like the one to beat.....

Her main threats might be More The Love a grade three winner in the Miesque.....then did not like the Polytrack....She gets back on turf today as Corey rides her. Todd Pletcher sends out Disposable who ran fourth in her only previous turf race.... expect better.....Miz Ida a stake winner at the Fairgrounds..... double digit odds on her.....she has excellent pedigree.....Dame Marie is perfect two for two.....she gets the acid test on class....A interesting high price filly is Treasured Up...... a daughter of Medalaglia D Oro...... watch out for this one. June Clever I have seen run.....she looks to climb the class ladder as Rosario re-rides her.... do not just dismiss. Anna Sophia trained by Mott has the turf pedigree to move forward.

               1. Stephanie`s Kitten
               2. Anna Sophia
               3. Welcome Dance

              Longshot June Clever

RACE 9            Alysheba Stakes

One mile and a sixteenth Grade 2 for fillies and mares. A field of ten will contest the one and a sixteenth mile stake race. Two tough dudes look to be the one`s to fear.....in this race.  Mucho Macho Man who finished behind Animal Kingdom and Nehro has won three straight with double digit speed numbers. He won the Sunshine Million Classic then won the Gulfstream Handicap going wire to wire. His main rival has a winning streak of five......Nates Mineshaft....a son of Mineshaft by Silver Deputy. He fits here. He is razor sharp.......A Major contender.

Another contender is Successful Dan a son of Successful Appeal who loves this track. He has two wins and a third over the dirt. This is his second start of this year.....beware! If the speed melts down then I like Apart who comes in fresh.....Gomez rides this dude..... I expect that the trainer has him ready to run with eight morning works .....

                   1. Mucho Macho Man
                   2. Nate`s Mineshaft
                   3. Successful Dan

                  Pace play Apart

RACE 10    American Turf Stakes

One mile and a sixteenth Grade 2 for three year olds

This race is very tough many contenders and few pretenders.......Both Silver Max and Howe Great the likely betting favorites both drew the outside post in a big field......both will need racing luck here. Silver Max with Tones and Blueskiesnrainbows just might press the pace early.....If Blueskiesnrainbows repeats his last start.....and not bounce.... He just might be very hard to collar down the stretch. He is a different horse then the horse that ran on the turf last time. He shortens up in distance.......Baffert and Smith might be the hot team this week with Bodiemeister.....Gung Ho has been firing bullets for Michael Maker......He looks very live here....Coalport is a interesting colt by Kitten Joy......beaten by Howe Great but had a horrible start.....Now Howe Great is on the outside and Coalport drew the rail......expect much better. Flashy Dresser is perfect so far....love the big speed number he posted in his debut.

                    1. Gung Ho
                    2. Coalport
                    3. Howe Great

                    Longshot Flashy Dresser

RACE 11        KENTUCKY OAKS

Kentucky Oaks one mile and one eighth for three year old fillies. Oaks-Kentucky Derby Double´´´

1. On Fire Baby.......winner of the Pocahonas Grade 2 and Golden Rod.........is a half sister of High Heels..... She is trained by Gary Hartlage and ridden by JJ Joe Johnson.....She won the Honeybee grade 3 at Oaklawn Park.....

Notes on her....She is very professional and athletic. Bred in Kentucky is by Smoke Glacken out of a Gilded Time mare Ornate..... special pedigree.

Concerns is the rail with a two month layoff.

2. Grace Hall.....won the Spinaway last summer at the spa....She finished second in the Grey Goose in the Creeders Cup Juvenile filly race. She is trained by Tony Dutrow.....was very impressive in winning the Gulfstream Oark Oaks by seven lenghts.....

Notes..... filly has won four times and placed second twice..... excellent pedigree by Empire Maker.

Works....excellent work at Palm Meadow....

3. Summer Appause  trained by Bret Calhoun .....won the Rachel Alexandra grade three at Fairgrounds..... Go Go rides her adds to her appeal..... a sneaky live longshot....

Notes.... getting better each race....will be midpack.....then make one big turn of foot turning for home.....a player.

Concern....... work`s

4. Eden`s Moon....... see her race every start.....she won the Las Virgenes at Santa Anita......then in the Oaks she finishen third......Baffert has her cranked up for her run.....She is both speed and tactical speed to be in perfect position....

Notes....... ton`s of energy...connections are optimistic about running her......training very good over this track

5. Hard Not To Like......should really improve off the second in the Grade 1 Ashland......tactical speed and speed to make her a player...

6. Broadway`s Aliba...... might be the speed with other`s in this race.....good gate horse that I expect will be on the lead going on the first turn. She might be hard to catch.....bred for distance... I like her.

7. Sacristy.....like the trainer and jockey  combo...... I think she is improving....... light speed numbers and first time at the distance is my major concern....but having said that I like the pedigree.....major jockey on her.....Smith rides......

8. Jemima`s Grace......Baffert trains her.....I love 49er pedigree with fillies....She should get one final turn of foot turning for home. Jemima’s Pearl was the work partner of stablemate Bodemeister twice within a five-day span and more than held her own.

9. Believe You Can...... won the Fair Ground Oaks for Larry Jones.... professional jockey Rosie Napravnik rides......good pedigree...... a player with a shot .....She has five wins from eight starts.

10. And Way Not.....great connections.....she has been beaten twice by Grace Hall.....see no reason to have her beat her today.

11. Karlovy Way....... front runner who won the Ashland at Keeneland...... a major contender....seeking hat trick...

12. Colonial Espress.......gets the acid test....a maiden trained by Lucas..... fifty to one....Pass!

13. Amie`s Dini...... clockers did not like her.....she could move up with her pedigree.

14. Yara.....She beat Grace Hall in the Davona Dale..... trained by Jose Garoffalo ridden by Jesus Castonon.....clockers have said she has been training very good......bad post!

               1. Jemima`s Pearl
               2. Broadway`s Alibi
               3. Grace Hall

               Longshot Eden`s Moon
