Today is really tough races....I will play a late pick four.....really wide open last four races.....I have taken some shots here with some longshots..... Good Luck because today we will need luck.



RACE 1

A turf sprint down the hill for 25 G`s. Muny the seven year old trained by Mitchell will be well back by the bettor. He had a trouble trip in his comeback race. The pace looks fast with Striking Spirit pressing the pace..... If no-one goes with him he might be hard to collar at the wire. Deadly Catch had to need his last start after more then a year old. He drops in class and with a race under his belt ......expect much better....has a shot to win here. Sammartino comes in fresh......does not win much but could wake up.....Gallant Gent did not get claimed at 12 G`s when he won his last race.....He looked good....I like the hike up in class for Carava.....tab the re-ride as Rosario takes the mount again.

RACE 2

A small field of five enter this route race for 20 G`s. Special Kid shorten up....has been sharp at his level. He gets back to the dirt. Tab the switch to Rosario. Rock This Way beat Ultimate Decision in his maiden races before.... Rock This Way won  in a restricted race.....steps up to face better. Ultimate Decision drops back to a level where he should run his best race ........this looks very suspect and wide open. Arcodoro last summer almost beat Willyconker...... if he runs back to that race he can win....He gets off the turf where he showed speed before fading...He had to need that race after seven months off.... Lot`s to like because of the high odds..

RACE 3

A filly maiden turf sprint down the hill. I will not get the morning line of 15 to 1 this time around..... I picked Lake Maracaibo in her debut to win.......she got collared at the wire...She was hammered down because the clocker´s loved her.... She adds the blinkers.....She is the one to beat if she runs like she did in her debut. Swingaway her third career start looks to finish from off the pace......She is a player as her speed numbers are improving.... Highly Rated a first time starter has a win early pedigree and good connections....Smooth As Unusal should love the turf...She showed speed in her dirt debut before fading...... do not dismiss her as she can win this race.  Gem In The Rough looks live as a FTS.

RACE 4

A first level allowance sprint. Baron Von Red broke slow in his first start at this level. He finished third in the sloppy track. With a fast start....he will be press the pace..... A major player if he runs back to his last start. Toy has been off for more then a year....He has talent......and the works look very solid....Steven Miyadi ships in Secret Spy...... uses a bug boy....gets a huge weight break here......Put It There a interesting maiden breaker who looks spotted......good looking win.....He should be in the race with his speed...Deejenerit looked good breaking his maiden....He has the perfect running style if the speed meltsdown....he should be flying late here.

RACE 5

The San Simeon Grade 3 race running down the tricky turf course. Irish Art is two for two down the hill..... He faces tough company in this race. Ain`t No Other press the pace with Mr. Gruff......He gave him a tough battle.... He looks to set a fast early pace here.....need to collar this guy if you are going to win this race. Compari in the Grade 1 Kilroe Mile finished third.....He should love this cut back in distance......look he is 6 for 8 on this course.... Major player.....The class of the race is California Flag......he might be a little long in the tooth.....He carrys top weight with five months off..... If he is ready.......then watch out......

RACE 6

Five and half furlongs race for three year olds in this maiden special weight race. Closing weekend as Baffert holds the hot hand here......Designer got collared in his deubt. He is the one to fear pressing the pace as he shortens up to five and half. Baffert has a high price colt by Street Sense.....looks very live...Richard Mandella sends out a first time starter.....love the first timer`s pedigree. Bruce Headley first timer looks live.....Night Badger has been working fast in the morning time. Watch the tote board for more clues.... Canelo trained by Cerin a colt by Proud Citizen..........looks sneaky good as Rosario takes the call.

RACE 7

One mile on the turf at the asking price of 25 G`s. Lamm looked good beating Sky Cape but could not get to the pro Stoneside. Honour Family adds the blinkers stretches out in distance....He should be near the lead...His last race looked like a prep race. He switches back to the turf..... All systems look like a go with double digit odds. Jairziho tab the switch to Rosario.....needs a fast pace to run at..... no win machine but a player. J P Jammer makes his second start after a layoff....claimed by Hendrick`s.... a major player to win this race.... Dress Code will press the pace from the outside post. Farmer Giles claimed by Art Sherman is back to a level where he has both speed and tactical speed to win this.

A wide open race... I will take a shot with Victoria Prince..... like the horse do not like the trainer....he has been ice cold for some years---

RACE 8

A wide open entry level allowance sprint.... a talented field...this is the hardest race on Today`s card to handicap.  Close To The Edge claimed by O`Neil has speed and get Eswan..... come catch him. Baffert has two horses.....Da Rules who is coming back off the bench.....He almost beat Sway Away at Hollywood....Flightofalifetime....ultra fast works that look scary...All systems are a go with this one. Industry Leader stumbled at the gate and almost beat Horryforhollywood last time out......the pace looks fast and contested. Chapman`s Peak a horse on my watch list two years ago...........He has run with Alcindor..... very talented horse..... He has been away almost two years then ran like a horse that was short last time out....Sadler has put three workouts into him since his last race. Bet On Victor a stone cold closer.....is coming back with good works....the race sets up for a horse coming off the pace.

           

RACE 9

A Grade 2 filly and mare turf race at one mile and a quarter. This looks very wide open.... The pace might be Glowing Spirit....tab the switch to Victor.....pressing the early pace here.  She will need to slow down the race relaxing before the real racing begins turning for home...Camelia Rose got collared by Vamo A Galupiar who looked awesome in both of her wins. She looks better each time I see her run. Cambina trained by Bonde is very talented....if she runs like she ran last year....she can flat out win.....The Rodney Dangerfield of fillies is Hard Seven.....almost won her last race at 67 to 1...She is good....do not dismiss...

RACE 10

A maiden sprint ends the night cap. The big time dropper to the bottom level is Emerald Assets.....ultra fast drills with Rosario taking the mound. The first race after such a long lay off might be his best. Warren Donald sends out Oak Tree Drive.... good pedigree to win early.....
