The feature race can only get six runners..... only three horses that on class have a shot! I assume that all the turf races will stay on the turf.......if not we will get more small field`s today... I check out the workout camera around nine in the morning....the track looked dry to me..... might get a fast main track....

OFF THE TURF TODAY FOR ALL TURF RACES


......A sprint for 32 G`s down the hill for three year olds..... Turf or dirt.....Jeff Mullins sends out two horses......Showmethemoneyjim.....his only win came over the dirt.....he is bred to handle a off track. He sends out Call Me Jones....claimed for 30 G`s.....He exits a key maiden race ......we saw Noble Kent yesterday getting collard by Blazing Mario. He has speed and won on a off track......bred for the turf if the race remains on the turf. He loves the sloppy surface.....beware! Fist Pump the Golden Gate shipper is bred for the turf....He has the perfect closing style to make him a major contender.......A sneaky excellent northern Cal trainer..... looks to have him ready for a big performance. Danger Ranger looked good beating Jack O Lyn at his condition last time out on the dirt. I saw Daylight Magic win his debut last summer at Fairplex Park....He has excellent pedigree with a very good young baby trainer Dominquez...... do not dismiss this guy.....check out thoses long workouts......I like this guy!

RACE 2

A sprint for 20 G maidens for four year olds and up. The speed looks to be Wind In Motion and Tough N Dangerous pressing the pace......I expect maybe Wind In Motion second race after a three month lay-off might have more stick down the lane. Gary Mandella drops First Blue Angel to the bottom.... I expect he will be well bet at this level. Eswan rides is a plus.....Tough N Dangerous was well bet in his debut. He broke slow then rushed to the lead finally getting third....His second race he looks tough and dangerous.......needs a clean break from the rail...... Talamo rides him again which tells me that he is a major contender....If the speed melts down then Clocker Moment will stalk the speed and be kicking home turning from home....do not sell short this one...... 18 times might be his lucky number.

RACE 3


A sprint for 12 G`s.....non winners of two races....Baffert drops Take No Prisoners. He showed speed routing in a starter allowance race..... He cuts back in distance....He should get a good trip from slightly off the pace.  He needs a fast track. The pace is Onebadboy.....come catch this dude....looked very good finally getting his diploma. Kornier and Talamo hook up again. If the track is off look to Private Bounty who got fourth in the slop in a fast allowance race......with that race under his belt....He drops again in class which makes him scary. Trueno comes back fresh.....He is the X factor.....He has run races before that puts him right in the mix. This seven year old shortens up in distance......I like his workouts......watch out for this one to outrun his double digit odds...

RACE 4

A starter allowance going one mile and a sixteenth.... Blake goes long today. He is bred to go long...more breaks in his career then I like to see.....but he has come back strong where he cannot get claimed. Mike Puype enters Go To The Pulpit where he switches back to the dirt. A three year old facing older so take note. The Bien`s Gift exits the same race as Pulpit getting third.... He likes the dirt.....makes this guy a contender. Wegner a horse on my watch list when Baffert trained him....A big good looking underachiever that has switched barns.... expect that he might wake up in this field.

RACE 5

One mile and a sixteenth for three year old maiden special weight with a number of talented horses.....Eaton Hall gave Holy Candy a scare last time out......He was two lengths clear of the third place horse Seal The Deal who is in this race....Eaton Hall is the horse to beat. Seal The Deal should improve with a route race under his belt .....coupled with the fact that he gets Lasix..... and second race after a layoff.....He just might turn the tables on Eaton Hall.... Straify needs to learn how to break cleanly...he has the pedigree to win early...He exits the same race with Eaton Hall and Seal The Deal....Called To Serve gets back to the dirt....He should like the return to this surface....a high price blueblood.....do not just dismiss this one.

RACE 6

A maiden special weight down the hill turf race with a number of very talented three year olds.....Chickie Charms has been the beaten favorite in his last three races...He comes back fresh with two months off. The pace looks to have Charms and Fleet Eagle pressing a fast pace.... I expect maybe both of these horses out front early....then crossing the dirt....the race might set up for a mid pack closer. Canuletmedowneasy goes from the outside post to the inside...He has a good turn of foot crossing over from the dirt to the turf. Fable Haven first race was very good...I expect with a race under his belt....He should improve as he made a strong move in his debut.... before fading to fourth. He comes back fresh for Vann Belvoir.....gets the hot Eswan to ride...... any improvment makes him scary from the outside post. Just Tripping ran into Bodemeister......you can draw a line over that dirt route race....He puts on blinkers and comes back after two months off....He has the pedigree by End Sweep to make him a live longshot in this race.....tough race and a good betting race...

If this comes off the turf then look to You Know I Know who loves the slop......morning line ten to one.....looks very live with fast works under his belt in the morning time.

RACE 7


A sprint for fillies and mares in this optional claimer N1X for 40 G`s. Baffert sends out Pink Lollipops who was vanned off....the morning line favorite is 4 to 5.. Baffert does not drop her in for a tag which is a good sign....positive! Mellissa Rose and My Brite Caroline dual in a race last time out......My Brite Caroline has two straight races and third out of four.....very scary. Forever Nada loves the off track....She moves up if the track is sloppy. Jinny Jump Up has not raced in mre then a year....she four years old.....but she has some ultra high speed numbers as a two year old..... do not dismiss....live filly... with some good works....she likes the dirt too! The mare on the rail has been on my watch list.....she has been a underachiever....but in this field Pincelada...... might be overlooked..... but she can win this because she has both speed and tactical speed with a tough of back class. On speed numbers Pink Lollipops is the horse to beat...... not a fan of any horse that was vanned off....but having said that just look at her works after being vanned off......ultra fast works for any Baffert`s horse.

RACE 8

The Las Cienegas Grade 3....... I expect this will not be taken off the hill.....for fillies and mares.....looks to have six talented ones....the lineup includes.

1. Unzip Me....has won seven races on this course.......She looks to turn the tables on Mizdirection......today....She is trained by Marty Jones which has her ready to rumble from the rail.... I have never been a fan with the rail post....hard not to get into trouble but this is a short field.

2. Teroda...... Unzip Me beat her two back.....Her last race she looked good getting second in a second level allowance race....She does get weight off which will help her cause.

3. Saanneen....what can you say..... perfect is perfect.... four for four.....but she gets the acid test on class....she has never faced a group like this before.....

4. Broken Dreams....looks she beat Unzip Me at Hollywood with weight off...seven pounds.....Last year she was on my watch list...she raced against the boys last year in the Breeders Cup Turf sprint.....she was in too deep....a prep or a game race is the question here...

5. Mizdirection.....deep in the jungle with co owner Jim Rome....she one tough girl...she has never been off the board in her nine career starts.... She beat Unzip Me in the Monrovia Grade 3......then smoked the field gate to wire....she one scary girl here...she is looking for her fourth win......

6. La Nez.....she was third in this race last year......since that race is has been off form....A very good Cal Bred with some good looking state bred wins under her belt...

RACE 9

A short dash ends the nightcap.....maiden filly race for 30 G`s.

Martin Pedroza gets Rosario`s mount Courageousandbold who press a fast pace last October at this track. A daughter of End Sweep trained by Sadler looks ready to fire here. Love My Girl trained by Eddie Truman press a fast pace at Del Mar....she exits a good key maiden race....She looks very live in her comback race today. Mike Puype sends out the first time starter Glorious Memories........ Flores rides.....looks like a good Beachmark filly.....
