FRIDAY
FRIDAY`S CARD
RACE 1
A mile and a sixteenth of the main track in a maiden special weight race for four year olds and up...... Another small field of maidens.......World Renowned ran in the slop last race. He was three lenghts clear of Rock Off...... needs only to repeat that race to make him a top contender.....Blu John has big speed numbers.......stretching out to two turns after sprinting.....He warrants respect for the win.....Talamo rides as Mike Smith rides Death Star....who looks to be closing turning for home. Dynamize fits after his last two starts which was not that bad.... gets back on the dirt.... a shot to win here as Bejarano takes the call. I like Blu John stretching out with his speed numbers towers over this field.....bred for the distance!
1. Blu John.....speed and bred for distance
Pick Three 5 with 1,2 with 1,4,5,7 cost $8.00
UPDATE $63.30
RACE 2
A sprint for high price fillies at the asking price of 75 G`s. Another small field of five....Hennessy River drops out of the China Doll race....shortens up and switches back to the dirt.....where she will try the dirt for the first time. The speed is Love My Way and Lasso From El Paso ....both will press the pace early. Treatherlikealady has the prefect style to closing on this field....player on the rail if the others run themselves in a speed dual.
1. Hennessy River
2. Treatherlikealady
3. Love My Way
Longshot Lasso From El Paso
$20 Place on 1 PAID $4.80
RACE 3
One mile on the turf for a claiming price of 40 G`s. Aqua Fever ran like a horse that needed a race under his belt. His three solid works after his last start makes him very live.....he has back class as well....ran some very good races last year. Thomas Baines a head case gets off the hill which makes him look better going long here. He has run races two years ago which he would crush this field.....He has the rail with weight off. The cheap but very fit Best Verse can post a upset.....He shortens up to a mile.... do not dismiss...Tribal Nation has faced state restricted company....now faces open company..... He looks to outrun his odds..... no really monsters in this field....
1. Aqua Fever
2. Thomas Baines
3. Best Verse
Longshot Tribal Nation
RACE 4
The bottom level of maidens going seven furlongs in this maiden race. The professional maiden Game Charmer might and I say might have found a field she can beat...She must clear from the rail. Can she repeat her last race on a fast track.....The speed looks to be Miracle Merger.....come catch her after running against better. Our New Dancer has a touch of speed which makes her a player as well. Kalookan Dancer I like the win early pedigree with High Demand and the hot dam of Moscow Ballet....... slow works with a trainer that works them slow....He strung together 12 morning works into her....would not be surprise if she came out running. Bongo racing teams up with Chew to send out the second time starter Itsphun...... should move forward with this field.
1. Game Charmer....one of these days
2. Miracle Merger.....come catch
3. Itspun
Longshot Depistry....sprint to route angle
Pick Three 1 with 1,3,4,5 with 5
PAID $204.40
RACE 5
A difficult distance of one mile and a half on the turf course in this N1X for 40 G`s. The speed looks to be Danderek with Kessabtis..... both looks to go early.... It is hard to tell how the invader will be rated or sent early....but Quaintly looks live in her US debut. Antidote should be right off the pace stalking the rabbit . The head case is Falcon Rock...... runs better races then this group...... will he wake up or has he seen better days is the question.
1. Quaintly....female against guys....good odds
2. Antidote...sharp and fit
2. Falcon Rock
Longshot Lumberyard Jack
$20 Place and Show Quaintly PAID $5.80 $3.80
Pick Four 1,3,4,5 with 5 with 2,4 with 6,7,9
PAID $216.50
Pick Three 1,3,4,5 with 5 with 2,4
PAID $159.60
RACE 6
The bottom of the claiming level.........very hard to trust this crowd. Cardiff Giant has never run this low of a class level before.....He turned out to be not the horse that Ted West thought he was.....but having said that.... He switches to Eswan with weight off.....has been working solid in the morning time... he should fire fresh..... His main rival on paper is the outside class dropper Devoted Magic....Blake and Rosario show.....He has speed and has won before at this level. Brady Blue Eyes has won at this level beating Clear To Canada by three lenghts.... Clear To Canada might not get the perfect pace scenario as last time out.... He can close from off the pace..... I picked him last time out.... He got up to beat Square Deal at five and half furlongs..... He should like the added distance. If the droppers are suspect....then I like him....Final Journey first time on dirt for a very good trainer Morey.... goes first off the claim.
1. Clear To Canada
2. Devoted Magic
3. Brady Blues Eyes
Longshot Final Journey
$20 Across the board on Clear To Canada
PAID $7.80 $3.80 $3.00
Late Pick Three 1,5,8,9 with 2,4 with 7,9
Cost $16.00 OUT
RACE 7
The La Puente Stakes one mile and a eighth on the turf for three year olds. A small field of five with little speed early except Tiz Point .....who clearly is the speed.... with the obvious speed I expect the trainers are reading the Daily Racing Form and will tell one of the jockey to go with this guy......if not then he tells this small field ....come catch this one on the front end..... ..... might be hard to collar....the best horse is Blingo who drops out of a grade one and grade two stakes race...... He looks to mow them down .....the pace scenario does not work to his favor....but on speed numbers and class ....he is the one to beat! Captain Obvious and Vibrato Jazz come out of the Pasadena.....they finished only three back.....Captain Obvious had to need that race after four months off....He should improve from off the pace. Imports usually need a race or two before showing there best race....Buffalo Billy exits the same race...The Pasadena Stakes where he finished about the same with Captain and the Jazz..... He should improve here.
1. Blingo
2. Captain Obvious
3. Buffalo Billy
RACE 8
A sprint for maidens at 30 G`s ends the nightcap. This might be the hardest race of the card.....you can flat out make a case for many of these maidens....to win.... On paper Warren`s Assassin tried maiden special weight which was too fast for her....Two races back she beat Ariny`s Love who won yesterday.... Romona`s Ride dons the blinkers and drops in class. Rich In Tradition had a horrible start then finished full of run....I like the pedigree and expect major improvement if she breaks quickly from the gate her second time around. Heartless Honey claimed for 32 G`s adds the blinkers.....trainer is solid with fillies.....looks very live second time out. The live longshot is Tornado Allie who was bet down to six to one in her debut in January.....check out her fast gate drill and works.....watch out with AC and Berrio.... A Storm Cat filly by General Meeting.
1. Tornado Allie....taking a shot
2. Heartless Honey....might be a good claim
3. Warren`s Assassin......one to beat
$20 Place on Heartless Honey
