Patrick Valenzuela has announced his latest comeback through agent Tom Knust, saying he plans to return to race riding at Betfair Hollywood Park April 26.
“He’ll start the first day at Hollywood,” Knust told the publicity department at Santa Anita Park April 12.

Sadler has given her four workouts since her last race.... A ultra fast bullet work in her last morning works suggest all systems a go. Ke Kukui ran third against the guys in her last race. She takes a hike in class....she looks like the real deal here.... who should improve off her last start. Jolly Days exits a productive sprint. She is bred for the distance as Paddy Gallagher has her ready to stretch out today. Rock And Glory had a trouble trip in her sprint race on March 29th......excellent pedigree ....this daughter of Rock Hard Ten should improve with the stretch out to one mile. Love And Faith adds the blinkers.....expect better performance..

RACE 2

A low level route race at the very bottom level looks very suspect.....A horrible suspect race......very hard to trust anyone in this field as to form and ability....so take note. R Vicarious Girl a eight year old drops again for Mike Mitchell...... Eswan gets the call. Musical Grace no world beater but does look ready to be a contender. She has posted some nice fast morning works....A young filly ships in from Golden Gate....blinkers go on....should be a main threat with this small field...Last time Warren`s Mystery won Nixon was in office....the same can be said about Sexy Melody......pass with these two.

RACE 3

UPDATE SLOPPY TRACK

A starter allowance for fillies and mare sprinting on the main track. Doug O`Neil sent out Sweet Nectar at five and half furlongs facing 40 G maidens.....She won..... was claimed out of this race by Vann Belvoir who put her in a race that she cannot get claimed........good sign....One Bad Text came back after eight months off and could not collar Song Girl.....With a race under her belt.....I expect a big performance because a number of horses in that race have come back and won....A key race! Toss out the route race by My Diane.....she better sprinting..... she is talented.... who might get overlooked bt the public.... Lemon Hero dropped and graduated....has both speed and tactical speed in the slop......good muddy pedigree......!

UPDATE SLOPPY TRACK


A sprint for the claiming price of 16 G`s for three year olds. The drop in class with Jack O Lyn appears to be my concern.....but having said this.... He has won three of his last five races.. Janet Armstrong is hot off the claim....she is 70 % at this meet with her claims......winning...His debut Tribal Dreams poised for pictures after being placed higher in a D`Q. He then ran seven furlongs at this condition getting second in the slop.... I expect a big performance as he cuts back to a sprint. he loves the off track.....the one to fear....

OFF THE TURF   SLOPPY MAIN TRACK

Cal-Bred maiden special weight race at one mile on the turf for fillies and mares. On Paper, Shewhomustbeobeyed and The Gran who just might have found a field she can beat are both the logical contenders...but Jeff Bonde sends out a filly from Golden Gate who goes up in class after running some respectable cheaper races up north.....Wildakceleration adds the blinkers for the first time. She has run on the sythetic stuff..... I see no problem with the sod.  She has a big look in this modest field of Cal Bred maidens. Ron Ellis took Cee`s Of The Year up north to Golden Gate to face open maiden special weight company.....she ran a respectable willing third..... any improvement will put her in the winners circle at double digit odds.

UPDATE OFF TRACK


A Cal-bred 50 G maiden race going one mile for age restricted three year olds. Dream Caught did not like the slop. He has speed which will help him stretching out to two turns today.... King`s Red Journey..... a head case for O`Neil....drops in with a tag.....He has shown speed before.....looks to be over bet....Blazing Mario exits the race with Risky Rewards....key race....and with a race under his belt routing.....He should move forward big time....Noble Kent has excellent pedigree.... He was claimed by Hendrick`s in his debut.....a horrible start....he never could get untracked....His second race he sprinted in the slop getting third.....He is bred for this distance..... expect a big time performance outrunning his double digit odds with Martin in the drivers seat.

RACE 7

OFF THE TURF SLOPPY TRACK

A first level allowance race at one mile of the turf. The talented line-up includes.....

1. My Selection....holds a hot hand here...she is a daughter of Silver Deputy.... was well hammered down like the second coming.......Baffert trains her with fast ultra drills. She stretches out to two turns and tries the turf for the first time.

2. Risky Art.....sneaky longshot that I bet in the China Doll. She makes her second start in the states for a trainer that is very good second time out...

3. Starship Flare......Mulhall takes the blinkers off....She got third at this condition running down the hill....She has been facing some tough cookies....watch out for her.

4. Bobina.......looked very scary in her debut.....AC looks to have a very talented filly in his barn. A daughter of Malibu Moon is wheeled back quickly ......I wonder why........ mo money mo money........

5. Gittel......She looks to be the rabbit that might not stop.... A multiable winner with two wins to her name.....not out of the question.....

6. Dijaro......Interesting very live horse......for Paddy Gallagher..... she gets back on turf she is runs her best races....any improvement here .....puts her in the mix.

7. Island Paradise........good pedigree that might get overlooked.... she was third behind Starship Flare....

A short five furlongs sprint at the very bottom of the maiden ranks..... Not really excited about the maidens that have ran..... I like the three first time starter..... Marty Jones and Hendricks and the sneaky under-rated trainer Richard Rosales....
