SANTA ANITA ANALYSIS
PLEASE READ BEFORE BETTING
RACE 1
A 16 G claimer sprint for four year olds. So Tempted exits the race where Halfapondasoa.....who climb up to 25 G´s Sunday and beat a suspect field....Gomez rides....the one to beat...... Roulette It Roll adds the blinker....expect better second race after a lay-off. I like the works on Ashuba.... expect that Deleon has this filly ready to fire after seven months off. A Natural trained by Michael Pender looks like the class after beating Piney River in his maiden state restricted special weight race....then the water were too deep in a NX1 allowance company......back with friends here..
1. So Tempted....back with own age
2. A Natural......beat Piney River
3. Ashuba.....Deleon has been hot
Longshot Roulette It Roll
RACE 2
A maiden special weight sprint for fillies and mare.... Gomez rides Lottawampum who has both speed and tactical speed with the speed figures to take this sprint....A daughter of Indian Charlie has strung together four solid works for her third career start. Endless Fancy exits the same race as Lottawampum...Baffert has strung together six solid morning drills for her third career start. Rock And Glory switches to the dirt after running in a highly regarded turf sprint....player as Rosario re-rides....Sister Esperanza third race..... She is trained by Headley as Talamo rides....tough race here!
1. Endless Fancy....Baffert second time out
2. Sister Esperanza....weird trip
3. Rock And Glory....gets back to dirt
RACE 3
A one mile claimer on the turf for the price of 25 G´s...... Non -winners of two....meets this condition.... Anna You´re Up last race she ran onto Big T.....She is wheeled back quickly.....She is bred for the turf . The distance seems to be no problem with her. Fluxx exits a weak maiden field with her win....She faces winners for the first time. To her defense she looks better at this distance and better on the turf....a player! Mike Mitchell sends out Lorenbray who looked good winning her maiden after a long lay-off....I expect she will be in the mix....a player that can win this race. She gets weight off adds to her charm. Huntington Harbour is bred for turf. She has the running style that figures from off the pace.... I like her....Quiet Advice ran a respectable race with S. Sunshine....Tiz A Bud Girl and Cactus Flyer....no horses like that race in this spot.... I expect she just might outrun her odds...
1. Ana You´re Up....ran into Big T.
2. Quiet Advice......might improve
3. Huntington Harbour......drops in class
Longshot Lorenbray
RACE 4
A low rent route claimer of non winners of two...... looks weak and suspect...Belle Gallentey finally put it together last month in her maiden win....She then ran a respectable race down the hill getting third on the turf...She gets back on the dirt going two turns....player and morning line favorite. My concern is no works on her in the morning. Warren´s Hopeful was three clear getting third at this condition.... can improve in a big way after claim by Bill Spawr. Tab the switch to Mike Smith. Siempre Esperanza has been knocking at her door.....maybe the added distance will help her. She does have speed....player! Negra Tomasa was steadied ......last race.... I pick her to hit the board which she did not.....She had to need that race.... If she is ready to run races like she did last year....I think she will..... a very live longshot with double digit odds...She is no throw out. Plazarita looked good down the stretch beating up low level maidens.....Tab the jockey switch to Rosario. Add Bellle G is pick five ..........
Looks ready for a upset.
1. Warren´s Hopeful.....claimed by Spawr
2. Negra Tomsas........needed race
3. Siempre Esperanza.....two turns with speed
RACE 5
A race for three year olds fillies sprinting down the hill. The pace looks to have Nilhlist pressing a fast pace. She has turf pedigree by Latent Heat.....Come Catch her on the lead.....Rosario rides this filly that has both tactical speed. She shortens up in distance. Perfecta debut she beat Miss C. who came back and won....and was beaten by Vionnet who came back and finish second in two stake races....Her works looks good....might be the one to fear with Swingaway her main rival. Swingaway gets the outside post.....Her debut was eye opening because she made a nice move crossing the dirt going six wide then got collared late to get a beaten by less then two lengths.....Her trainer is very good with second time starters...Syndey´s Darling a daughter of Macho Uno should get a good trip stalking the speed Nihilist......a major player.
1. Perfecta
2. Swingaway
3. Nilhist
Longshot Syndey´s Darling
Late Pick Four 3,5,7,9 with 1,5,9,10 with 4,2 with 8
RACE 6
A short dash five and half furlongs maiden claimer for 30 G´s. Three year old fillies fill this condition. Vegas Rules has been scratch several times in the past weeks.... Her debut was good beating Ricspretentiousgal who got second to Raggin Wood Friday in the last race. She has speed from the cozy outside`post. Her third start dropping in class makes her I think I one to fear at the wire. Arinyes Love ran third against tougher....she drops in class. Player for a win. Steve Knapp sends out Secret Genuis who could not get to the winner last race.....expect improvement here...Rosario and Belvoir team up with Zenett.....second start after lay-off.....one of the ones...Jeff Bonde trains Flashy Rae....who was the beaten favorite last start...Her third start.....contender on the rail. Rich In Tradition is bred to win early.....do not take she lightly as she is a High Brite filly....
1. Vegas.....gets cozy post with speed
2. Flashy Rae.....beaten favorite
3. Arinyes Love.....drops in class
Longshot Rich In Tradition.....High Brite filly
$20 place and show 1
Pick three 1,9,10 with 4 with 1,2,8,10 cost $12.00
UPDATE $128.80
RACE 7
A N12 allowance turf race at one mile and a eighth.....The field is for four year olds and up....
1. Ten Devils......trained by Mandella...He looks like he wants more distance.....should relish this one.......looks to be improving after smart win at one mile. His speed numbers remain average!
2. Fire With Fire.....interesting shipper for Drysdale.... more gaps then I like to see....but he fires fresh after a layoff....Big speed numbers when he wired the field on the turf at one mile.... Interesting that the leading rider takes the call. Like this turf pedigree of 49er.....
3. Tippety Tap Tap.....lightly race five year old that has many gaps in his career....runs two then lay-off....He looks like he finally has put it together....looked great last race at this distance.....a major contender that will be over-looked at the windows.
4. Holladay Road.....a horse I followed up the class ladder....He gets back on the turf. He takes a big time drop in class.....back with friends.......class with big speed numbers makes this guy alway tough......Gomez wins these type of races..
5. Hurricane Lake.....A four year old that I think is talented.... He gets the acid test on class with acouple of these runners....Garcia has been very hot at this meet. He should outrun his odds..
6. Massone.....a classy horse that rarely wins.....2 out of 31 starts...in his defense....He has run with some of the best the west coast has to offer....He will be bet in this race.
7. Barney Rebel.....a import from England that looks like a outsider but look who takes the call....the red hot bug boy....
8. Glowing Spirit..... A filly facing the boys trained by A-C. In a race with little speed except Fire to Fire who I expect will press the pace......she might be the one to catch here.....She gets weight off..........because she is a filly......I sure like her last drill in the morning time.
1. Holladay Road
2. Fire With Fire
3. Massone
Longshot Tippety Tap Tap
$20 place Fire With Fire
RACE 8
A maiden Cal-Bred maiden sprint for 50 G´s. Craig Lewis calimed Alworth who then put him in a state restricted special weight race. He was bet down to low odds as Bejarano rode him.... did not ran a lick..... now he drops back with friends as Talamo rides this contender on the rail. Mandella hits when he drops a maiden special weight horse into the claiming ranks for the first time....Chittagong drops in class! He gets Eswan to Ride...expect much better second time around. Rosario climbs on Rockpaperscissors......expect that dirt and the drop in class will only help him. Bay Street a first time starter good trainer with a win early pedigree looks like a runner to me..... all systems look like a go....A new face trained by Bruce Jackson......ship from Remington Park....finish second at 25 G´s. Jackson hits at 40% when he double jumps a horse....interesting horse New Hire.......in a race with suspect modest Cal Breds maidens. Warren´s Nicholas is fresh and faces much softer company.......expect much better here. A longshot looks to come out of the Peter Miller barn.....Spensive´s Image.....a major equipment change..... gelded.....expect that he runs better after many works put into her..... do not throw out.....
1. Bay Street......Harris Farms and Pederson
2. Alworth......Lewis is good with second timers
3. Warren´s Nicholas.....drops in class
Longshot New Hire
