                      SANTA ANITA ANALYSIS

 RACE 1

One mile and a sixteenth maiden race for 30 K for three year old fillies.

Five and half  maiden 20 K for four year olds and up. Peter Miller drops Flux adds the blinkers with weight off. Fluxx appears all set to graduate. On speed numbers she towers over the small field. She has been off for two months....Miller has strung together seven morning drills to prepare her......She has both speed and tactical speed if need be... Flores Eswan rides... Clearly Casual looks to press the pace....Her third start of her career.....contender....Freckles Galore tab the jockey switch. She drops down in class.

RACE 2

Five and half  maiden 20 K for four year olds and up. Vienna adds the blinkers on Our Last Monte who flew at the wire at five furlongs to lose by three quarters of a length.....added distance today....get the great outside post...Mandella sends out the class dropper Goux Would Do....exits a highly regard open company race.....gets Flores Eswan to ride...looks very scary on the drop!  Cut N Deal has fire with speed over this track. He needed his last start coming back from 4 months off....do not totally dismiss this five year old....

RACE 3


A state restricted allowance race for three year old fillies. A competive small field sprinting on the main track.

1. Briteness.......This High Brite filly ran into 12 Folds in her debut.....was well beaten finishing second. She has talent....looks to improve with two races under her belt. Hot trainer and jockey combo.....Gaines and Rosario....eye dropping win....visually very impressive.....

2. River Kiss.......coming back after six month vacation....She beat Ruby in the Sorrento Stakes grade 3 at Del Mar....player if she takes to the dirt....plus she gets weight off.

3. Heleonor Rugby.....trained by AC....is the class of the race after running last year in five stake races....Her record is 7 starts with 3 wins 2 seconds and 2 thirds...She banked almost 240 K.

4. 12 Folds........the speed of the speed.... gets back to the surface she runs best at.....She stalk the speed her last race then turning fot home she had the lead.......got collared at the wire...She shortens up to a half furlong today.......might hang on at this distance.

5. Vicky Victoria.....was flying at the wire last race almost collared 12 Folds...good works as Bejarano takes over for Krigger......Harrington trains this contender.

RACE 4


A maiden 30 K sprint for three year old fillies. Jeff Bonde sends out second time starter Flashy Rae...... solid with second time maiden starters...  He exits a key maiden race where TJ´s Stormy Wit came back and won. A plus is Fores Eswan rides with weight off. Nifty Dreams trained by Jerry Fanning....had a horrible start in last.....I expect this one with a clean break will press the pace through out the race. Ralphy Girls adds speed dropping one level in class. Peter Eurton sends out Lemon Hero..... drops in class after lay-off....

RACE 5

A turf sprint down the hill for three year old fillies.... a contentious competive turf sprint.....fun to watch and bet!

1. Bella G..... a outsider.... but is a player as she shortens up for this tricky course.....needs a melt down with the speed....minor award ....

2. Candy and Thunder....a contender who has run on the turf...She drop down after running nine times with much better company....

3. Adios Problemas....well bet in debut....sneaky trainer Pederson who was hot during the summer at Del Mar.... do not dismiss her.

4. Call Me Cinderlla.....should step up on the turf by Danzig.... trainer Vann Belvoir is here to stay on this circuit.

5. Love My Way.....one trick pony....speed horse with Bejarano taking the mount...... She won at 50 K after facing maiden special weight horses. Her first debut was awesome....

6. Tasty Treat......Pender and Chatel team up on this interesting live filly by a pedigree I really like to see----- as three year olds.... Roar by 49ér.....expect a big race if she can run down Bella turning for home.

7. Backwoods Bella.........check out those splits.....ultra fast last race with much higher....gets weight off for trainer Sadler...tells these fillies come catch me....She is the only two time winner in race....claimed for 40 thousand last summer at Del Mar.

RACE 6

One mile and a sixteen claimer for 10K..........

1. Memo To Kathy....this young filly got smoked by Roman Chic last time out.....gets the rail..... needs to sit back and stalk the speed to win this race.....sneaky trainer and jockey combo that hits with bombs....

2. Good Ackress.........another speed horse in a race filled with one dimensational type speed horses.....She stretches out in distance sprint to route angle for trainer Harrington.....not out of the question.....

3. R Vicarious Girl.......she finished third behind Good Friday Gal and Tripped the Light.....drops again for Mike Mitchell who gets the buy boy to ride... This old broad wins races..... does she have one more in the tank....is the question....

4. Blue Tambourine.....big time dropper....from 20 to 10....take note that she was claimed for 20 K....beware....She ran with maiden special weight company.....then Bruce Headley drops her into a low level claimer.....she smoked the field.....got claimed by Peter Miller as she reeled off two start wins....if she repeats those highly regarded races.......she can flat out be scary.....Major Contender.

5. Roman Chic.....five year old mare that broke her maiden at Del Mar then has won two races out of three.....seeks the hat trick for a sneaky trainer Linka Minus.....one trick pony....maybe .......she has speed last time press the pace and was long gone....Bejarano seems fit to re-ride her.

6. Sambora.....this filly takes off the blinkers as Sutherland rides.....She has routed before....exits some tough races in the past....expect a big performance if she is fit.....the key! Take note last race draw a line thru it as she broke thru the gate....drops from 16 to 10 K.....contender!

7. Lauren C......excellent trainer that gets little press...Victor Garcia.......love the old mare......look like she had a trouble trip last time out......should have won......if she can handle the distance........watch out as hungry rider Krigger is up in the irons.

RACE 7

One mile for fillies and mares in this optional allowance claiming race......


1. Triveni makes her U.S. debut for trainer Callaghan.....filly has faced stake company Grade 1 and Grade 3 over in France.....Blanc rides for this stable.....looks like she can run all day long at the distances she had been facing. She has been running with 126 pounds on her back..... get weight relief today!


2. Meltarib......nice win against Cal.Breds......takes a slight hike up in class. Victor Garcia is having a very good meet with his limited barn....33%.....not bad!  Exits a nice key race second place horse came back and won.....then she ran into a buzz-saw La Sombre.....she became a stake winner down the hill!


3. Mizzen Donald......Picked him and the winner in last start. She miss by a half length.......now sprint to route angle...she sharp and has run very good on the turf. Do not just dismiss her here!

4. Screaming Regal.....seems like she has not run back to her form last spring when I had her on my watch list....she has talent for sure...I expect that the trainer looked to her turf pedigree ...... Gilded Time.... why not she has not run this year on the dirt very good.....if she takes to this turf.......watch out as she has tactical stalking speed and a good turn of foot to make her a contender.....everyone is looking elsewhere except here!

5. Caelis......good looking second behind Rosehill Drew...she could be very tough in this spot. She shortens up to one mile....expect she will be pressing the pace or sit and wait chillin to make one final kick turning for home.


6. Gem Of Soul.....South American import... A.C: trains this filly....... would not be shocked to see her win this race...I really like the long works....six and seven furlongs.....very good.....then a nice easy blow-out! Victor is having a nice meet this year.


7. Last Sting......made of eye dropping move versus males last month...she shortens up in distance to one mile. She takes a hike up in class.......the scary mare turning for home if the speed melts down.


8. Let´s Go Cheyenne.......the one to catch looking at her last start with maidens.....faces winners on the outside...exits key maiden race where Linda Winz rolled down the hill and won.

RACE 8

A Cal-bred sprint for maiden special weight for three year olds.
Bob Baffert sends out the first time starter Derby Gold. Alworth claimed in his debut with solid numbers.....Like the hike up in class...clockers like this one. Love That Action is bred to win early....bred for speed. Trainer Dámato looks to have a runner to me.

Three horses exits the same race.....Bringon The Wan, Gifted Monarch and Salt Of The Earth.....the horse with the lowest odds in that race was .......Salt Of The Earth.....bet down to 8 to 1.... Hmm.!

Alworth ran into Flower Power who ran a race Sunday where The Black smoked the field.......Flower Powers did not hit the board....no where in sight....
