SANTA ANITA ANALYSIS
RACE 1
A sprint for 16 G´s for four year olds on the main track. The line-up is....
1. Runaway Wildcat.....gets weight off as Ewsan rides her. She won hanging on at this level but beat older horses.....She´s back with her own age group....Contender in a field filled with contenders.
2. Me Salty.....won at restricted 12 G´s.....beat My Boy Elroy who came back and won....validate that race.....punch her ticket.....Contender!
3. American Wildcat...Jeff Bonde trains as she got beat by Cutfast Ball in her last start......she press the pace before giving it up in a highly regarded solid twenty G sprint....last time she dropped down to this low level she won at Golden Gate....player.
4. Lime Rock Revenge.... She comes in fresh...makes her one last kick to clear down the lane.... love the pedigree....has a shot if the speed burns up.
5. Thunder Of Zion......looks she takes the hood off..... this daughter of Carson City.......she bred for speed...and is the speed.......might be the real deal to deal with....
6. Cutfast Ball......should like a very fast pace to deal with....one of the ones.......good luck today!
1. RunAway WildCat
2. Thunder Of Zion
3. Me Salty
Pick three 1,5,2 WITH 1,6,7 WITH 5,3,6 Cost $27.00
UPDATE PAID $139.90
RACE 2
One mile sixteenth 20 G maiden race for four yr. olds and up. Weak Race ! Three plodders sprinters......Broken Glass, Tiz Victorious and Dynagain all sprinters stretch out going long......Not a strong field behind theses except Sidepocket Kid.....the one to beat at the morning line odds of six to five....Mucho Bravo should get first jump on the rabbits turning for home.. St. Joel back with friends is my longshot pick.....do not sell short with these plodders.
1. Sidepocket Kid.....hang on ....wild one!
2. Mucho Bravo.....might be brave
3. St. Joel.....back with friends
Early Pick Four looks like a good value bet. The ticket looks like this...
P 4 1,6,7 with 5,3,6 with 3 with 1,3,4,5
PAID $647.90
P3 1,6,7 with 5,3,6 with 3
PAID $306.80
RACE 3
A N1X filly and mare sprint on the main track. Bob Baffert sends out the fily Glamorista who we have not seen since running last summer at Del Mar. Her debut last July earned her a big speed number....might be a short price.....might want to see if we can beat her......might not.....Pincelada is fast....she can set fast factions....she might get brave if not confronted early.... All The Table should get a good trip behind these front-runners.... she has game.... Hout Bay a stone cold closer fits here..... Zenidella has run some tough races in the past.....hard to see what happen to her last start at Golden Gate.....I expect draw a line thru that race.....She might be the one kicking clear down the lane...
1. Pincelada.....clocker´s like
2. Zenidella.....might rebound
3. Glamorista.....if fit the one to beat...
Pick three 5,3,6 with 3 with 1,3,4,5
PAID $85.80
RACE 4
One mile and a eighth for fillies and mares in this maiden special weight affair. Rosario looks to send Askra to be a front runner along with Lady Ten who switches to the turf.....Baffert sends out Lady Ten....a daughter of Rock Hard Ten bred to go long and bred for the turf....Dixie Pink should move forward in a race with modest company. I think Conjure The Spirit who adds blinkers will run a big race for Corey N. I like her.....The well bred Chestnut Moon getting on the turf for the first time... bred for turf and distance...She should love the switch to the turf....watch out for this longshot ! Sabouli had troubled last time out....expect better here as she comes in fresh.
Taking a shot with longshots here........... Lady Ten and Askra are the horses to fear with Dixie Pink...
1. Conjure The Spirit
2. Chestnut Moon
3. Sabouli
$20 across the board on Conjure The Spirit (3)
Pick Three 3 with 1,3,4,5 with 3,7,8
PAID $228.60
RACE 5
A suspect claimer at the bottom...... Miller claimed Capture The Call who did not take to the longer distance....The hungry jockey Krigger rides..... He should be on the lead or right off the lead......He is a major player......Flores rides Elusive Schemes who looks to be out winging with Battle Point who stretches out in distance...Pace will make the race...... Man Chester Man might just fall into the garden spot if the front runners falter turning for home.....Last time he drop to this level he won......Low Power Gear is improving....
1. Low Power Gear
2. Man Chester Man
3. Elusive Schemes
$20 across the board 4
RACE 6
A maiden special weight sprint for four year olds and up. On paper, Southern Sunrise ran a awesome debut walking out of the gate then David Flores hit the pedal to the metal rushing him up to the front.....surprising that he held on getting second..... the favorite at post time....He gets the cozy outside post today. The scary winner if he runs anything like he did in his debut. Of course, Bob Baffert sends out Ranchero a high price comebacker by Smoke Glacken.....Roman Threat a first time starter looks like a runner to me.....John S. puts the blinnkers on Randazo......love the 49ér pedigree.......like the last fast five furlong work out on March 1st.
1. Southern Sunrise
2. Randazo
3. Roman Threat
Late P 4 6,7,8 with 3 with 2 with 6
PAID $125.10
RACE 7
The Canani show with his main man Martin Pedroza rolls along. He drops Times Gone By into easier spot from 50 G´s to this 25 G turf claimer. I expect David Flores with Mark The Bench will try to see if he can get this distance.....Sandor a disapointment to owners and trainer Carla Gaines drops big time in class....He stretches out again at this distance.....player here... The slight drop by Jairzihno who should relish this distance makes him scary because of his current form....Longshot Special Kid by Kingmambo......look he is bred all day long to like this added distance.....do not sell short...He comes in light with Eswan riding....He beat Donato who won last week...... This race is not so clear cut!
1. Times Gone By
2. Special Kid
3. Jairziho
Class play Sandor
Late Pick Three 3 with 2 with 6
PAID $32.10
RACE 8
The Las Flores six and half furlong sprint Grade 3 for fillies and mares is the feature race on the card. The top speed horse is the former claimer Izzy Rules.......looks like no horse will want to go with her early..... She is seeking her fourth straight win..... the last work out indicates that she is still in current form. The class of this field is Home Sweet Aspen who won the Grade 1 Santa Monica stake at seven furlongs.....She press easy slow factions during that race......this race will not be so slow..... I expect she might tactical sit right off the pace and try to have one gear kicking for home.....player! Spectacular Sky ran the race of her lifetime last race.......smoked the field....She should get a perfect set up stalking Izzy Rules.....She is sharp and fit and in current form.....contender! If this race unfolds at a fast pace then Great Hot and She´s Cheeky have a long look.....picking up the pieces.....all still have to deal with the real deal of Izzy Rules....might be one of the top sprinter here in the west coast.
1. Izzy Rules
2. She´s Cheeky
3. Sweet Home Aspen
Longshot S. Sky
RACE 9
Starter Allowance sprinting ends this week´s races. Screaming Queen aired in her maiden claiming win. She has finished second and third.....on dirt and on the turf both at one mile. She cuts back to a sprint today....Song Girl exits a key race at this level where three horse have come back and won....this indicates she is better then what appears on paper.....Bejarano re-rides her. Hey I´m Sobaa has speed.....should be in the mix .... After Later set fast pace then held on to get third in a highly rated non winners of two race... One Bad Texter looks to want the lead....she comes in fresh.....rates a long look at post time. Blue Samurai looks to be knocking at the door but has not got in.......favorite at post time again....Footnotedisclosure.... like the 49 er pedigree.....slow race but still like how she won....she looks talented...
1. Song Girl
2. Sreaming Queen
3. Blue Samurai
Longshot Footnotedisclosure
$20 across the board on Song Girl
